You gulped as you gripped the metal handle of the door to the house. It was your first real party since you had became an aspiring actor. Not many people knew of you, and that was why you were here. Your old friend Robert suggested that you come so that you might make some new friends, and maybe get signed to act for a movie. You took a deep breath as you slowly opened the door, walking into the room. Heads turned to look at you. You were wearing a beautiful, long, [insert your favorite color here] dress. You heard one man whistle. Your face turned a deep crimson. After a moment, everything went back to normal. You strode across the room, looking around as you walked. Then you spotted him. He was sitting across the room at the bar, staring at you. When you made eye contact with him, he smirked slightly and beckoned you over. You were surprised, why would he want to speak with you? Why would he even care about you? Questions raced through your mind as you walked towards him.

"Help me Lara; I need you to get something for me"
The thunder rolled continually as Werner Von Croy said these words.
We were sitting in his cold apartment. I could feel that there was a bad atmosphere to the place. It felt like someone was watching us, but I ignored my instinct and tried to listen to Werner.
I didn't know wether to trust him or not. I hadn't forgiven him after the incident in Egypt where he hesitated to rescue me from a collapsing tomb, but I was interested in what he needed assistance with.
"Go on" I replied.
Werner got slowly got out of his seat as he spoke. His voice suddenly went very serious. "I'm tracking five Obscura paintings, for a client called Eckhart, but he's a psychopath." Werner's voice shook as he said these words.
Werner did seem scared, but the memory of the Egypt incident kept haunting me. Was Werner just trying to get me to finish his dirty work?
I was still mad with him, and I wanted to show him my anger.
"Why should I care?" I said in a rough no
The Warmth Under Your Wings, Part 3The space of the waiting room felt like it had closed around Rainbow Dash and Dr. heartfeld, leaving them in a vacuum where they were able to comprehend only each other's presence and the things they said. Rainbow Dash was completely still on the outside, but the inside of her head kept telling her different ways to properly react to the things the old, faded tan stallion had just told her. Though she had an idea what had happened in Scootaloo's past, she was still somewhat unprepared for hearing the truth. The Warmth Under Your Wings, Part 34 years ago in Drama More Like This
Dr. Heartfeld was a patient pony. While Rainbow was picking up the pieces of information one by one, he sat still and watched her with a pair of curious, yet calm eyes, eager to hear her response while still giving her the required time to absorb what he had said. With a straight back and a dignified expression, he sat ready for Rainbow's judgment, whatever it would be. This was, after all, the reason she had asked him to tell her the story of the unfortunate orange filly in the fir

Every second passes,
Some are remembered; most disregarded.
All in the lead up to that last moment,
The one that has us continuously glancing at our clocks and calendars.
When we lose that one thing,
The absence of which makes life that...little bit more unbearable.

Now, I could tell you about the next few years, but frankly? It's pretty dull. No really, boring as anything. I don't lead a very exciting life, and I like it that way. I spent my summers and winters at camp, and went home to my dad for the spring. It was his favorite time of year and mine too, so it felt fitting. But really, nothing happened.
Nothing major anyway. I trained a lot. I'm really fast, something I was told was a trait from my mother. As a messenger, Iris is very fast after all. So that's what I trained up on most. For ages I was one of the fastest people at camp, it was awesome! Aside from Butch anyway while I got my mom's creativity, Butch got almost none of it. He was Speedy Gonzales, and eventually he stopped minding the nickname even! I may be shy, but when you live alone with a guy, you get close in a strange way. Even I get crazy hyper sometimes, and even I give weird nicknames. Two years later we finally got another child of Iris, a girl by the name of Petra La

I’m falling, she thought.
Rushing air tore at her like claws and her stomach churned. She knew only darkness and the horrible, hateful wind.
She jolted into consciousness as if waking from a nightmare, one so real, so intense, it left her soul shaken. All she remembered from her dream was the noise; a furious rumble like the call of a hungry dragon from a dark fairytale. It turned her insides as much as the sensation of falling. Now awake, she couldn’t understand why she still heard it, why she still felt like she plummeted into hell. Some other sound teased her, unidentifiable, lost in the wind.
“What’s happening? Is someone calling me? Where am I?” Pain rampaged through her and the questions fell away. She thought she might throw up.
A voice reached her. Persistent, hysterical, all static and unclear sounds.
She called out, tearing her throat raw with effort, trying to reach through the gusting void to

When we knew something was missing,
Something that didn't exist yet or had already disintegrated.

All for a match that was never meant to be.

The world is changed,

Time took its revenge,
And altered us as we did it.
And these notes I left you,

Why we changed it.

Just a kiss, to begin,
Then I'll get a little brave,
Make my way down your chin.
I'll be watching your face,
Looking close for a smile,
Then I'll move to your neck,
Kiss you there for a while.
Trace your throat with my tongue,
Feel you gulp once or twice,
Grin against your dark skin,
Know my kiss must feel nice.
Hold your face in my hands,
And I steal just one more,
This will not be our last,
Of that I am sure.

"Mountains. It had to be mountains." Marlis Winter was not in what one would call a good mood as she started her hike up through the mountains of Becdeni. It had been not three days ago - a letter had arrived at the front door of her house in the Becdeni city of Rennardt.
"I wish to request a challenge," it had read, "so that we may finally see who comes out on top. I'll be waiting at the summit of Mount Carver. I'll be seeing you there." The letter had dissolved in her hands; then, to her consternation, it turned into several small ladybugs and flew away. It wasn't until after Marlis had found her thick boots, her heavy coat, and her favorite boxing gloves (hey, they were requesting a match, after all), and made her way out to the foothills that she realized which mountain was Mount Carver.
Becdeni was, by and large, a mountainous region. In fact, leading cartographers had taken to labeling Becdeni's maps with two sections: "mountains" and "everything else." The mountains provided the

creeping out of sight,
he snuck into his rivals home
Up the stairs

fortunate his rival was alone
In the dead of night
the lover woke to a frightful sight
the husband and a giant stone
He bashed to the lovers head,

Commander Shepard was leaning up against the side of the display shelf in the middle of her quarters, and Lieutenant James Vega stood just inches away with his hands on her hips. They were looking at him; Shepard with a mix of embarrassment and irritation, Vega with a glare of annoyance. Shepard attempted to break away from him, but Vega grabbed hold of her and planted a firm kiss on her lips. Then he released her, and turned to leave with a cocky grin on his face.
"Major." Kaidan's eyes followed him out of the room, his disdain evident. His gaze lingered on the door until the sound of Shepard clearing her throat brought him back to his original purpose.
"Did you need something, Alenko?" When he turned his attention back to her, she had already composed herself.

In her mind, she still wants to justify herself with the fact that, after the blow, the pain had receded quite fast, and though she had definitely felt the depletion of her stamina, it had been barely perceptible, so she had dismissed the event as a non-immediate threat, and rushed to meet her eternal foe.
It had been mistake after mistake.
After several minutes running all around over the intricate maze the ruins became, fighting monsters and having her mind confused by the many Yeuls, she realizes too late the true implications of the cur
