Commission TOSPRICES:Commission TOS8 months ago in Personal More Like This
I won't take points unless otherwise stated anymore.
But if you throw a good deal at me, I might reconsider.
Unless specifically asked, I will not give WIP's
I will always give you the chance to see your commission before it's finished, no question.
I won't start your commission until I get the payment
Just a pre-caution so I don't get ripped off
I will happily fix anything that concerns or bothering you on your completed commission.
The whole point of a commission it to get what you like for yourself, so if you don't like it, it's not a good commission.
I will not do refunds unless I cannot do your commission, or I am too busy
Sometimes I can't work something right and it'll bother me on the commission enough that I can't do it..
I also have a very hectic life at certain times
I will need a visual reference sheet of your character, I am terrible with descriptions.

Original Life UncensoredI'm keeping the main comic feed for Original Life PG-13 by adding mosaic censoring to the open nudity. It's hard to cover a clothing optional community without doing that. I thought of trying to cleverly hide everything with sprigs of foliage and wisps of hair, but felt I should just go natural with it. I want people to be able to read the stories as they please, anywhere they like, without worry, which is why I'm keeping the main comic site censored.Original Life Uncensored3 years ago in Personal More Like This
You can find the uncensored comics on my Tumblr account ( http://jayrnaylor.tumblr.com/ ). I'll try to post them up the mornings they update on the main site, when I wake up. They're not really sexual or crazy or anything, really, but I thought I'd give the option to people who like to save the files.

Cosplay Tutorial: Molding and casting your piecesThis tutorial is based on how to use Smooth-on's Oomoo- and Smooth-cast series materials for cosplay purposes. There is little special too about using fiberglass instead of smooth-cast. Hope you enjoy!Cosplay Tutorial: Molding and casting your pieces2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Ok. Lets get started!
"I need five identically same looking parts like in that center of the picture for my cosplay but making them one by one would take LOTS of time. What to do?"
If you have the right materials then the answer is simple: "Make one sharp prototype of that piece then mold it and cast it."
Here are the materials you need:
- Modelling paste for making the prototype (or what ever material you like. It won't affect to the final product)
- Smooth-On's Oomoo 25 or 30 for making the mold (mold max 20-40 works too but it' need more skill to use. So i recommend Oomoo)
- Smooth-On's Smoothcast series for casting (i recommend smooth-cast 320 because it is easy to paint with spray paint)
(Smooth-On got lot of resellers in few countries. Here in Finland is Silcom.fi who sells their p

Big thanks to VSConcepts, SaTaNiA, ginkgografix and TwiggyTeeluck for their help in making this blog!
Starting from the absolute basics, how would you describe what CSS is and what it can be used for on deviantART?
VSConcepts says, Well, CSS Stands for Cascading Style Sheet. CSS essentially takes existing HTML and dresses it up. CSS controls how the basic HTML can be displayed to the viewer, and thus enhances the experience on the web. On deviantART, we apply CSS to our personal journals, our group blogs, and news articles, and even use it in some custom widgets.

Update: Disney Animation!*Blows the dust off my front page*Update: Disney Animation!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Hey guys! It's been a while since I've updated my journal. I have some wonderful news to share.
I'm going to be working at the Walt Disney Animation Studio as a visual development trainee! It's been a dream of mine to work as an artist at Disney feature since I was a little girl and I can't believe it's actually happening. I'm extremely happy to start and I can't wait to meet all the amazing people who work at Disney and absorb as much as my mind can absorb. Woo!
Event endingThe two sisters looked at eachother, with tired eyes. They were surrounded, there was no fighting or talking their way out of the mess they were in.Event ending2 years ago in Personal More Like This
“It’s been one hell of a run sis” one girl said to the other, pointing her gun under her sisters chin.
“ Yeah. It’s been a blast. But hey, sis, do you think I’ll get to see my sons again?” she followed her sisters example, pulling the hammer back on her Baretta
“Yeah. I am sure you will”
and they pulled the triggers on each other.
For those who put themselves in harms way to raid the enemy camp, they have been rewarded by the terms of their surrender. Weapons, Food and Some medical supplies have been given to the participating survivors in return for letting the group leave the town with their lives.
With the dust settling and some of our more valiant Ashcreek residents licking there wounds a strange fog has rolled into town. There

CSS Tutorial Part I: The BasicsHello my friends!CSS Tutorial Part I: The Basics8 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Since a while I am among the CSS designers here on DeviantART. I realized that there are high needs for journal layouts but there are not enough designers to create them. CSS templates help a lot but my POLL resulted that most people think there should be more CSS tutorials available. So I decided to create one. A CSS tutorial in 3 levels: basics, advanced and tricky stuff.
Long have you waited but finally I finished the first part of the CSS tutorial. This introduction is designed for absolute CSS beginners and will show you step by step the ways of CSS coding and also a bit of designing a basic graphic layout.
This is it:
I wrote the document for this tutorial in Adobe InDesign and converted it into pdf. You will find it together with some stock examples in the zip-folder when you download it.

Sunday Special ;D WIG HEAD TUTORIAL!Yo!Sunday Special ;D WIG HEAD TUTORIAL!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Okay. It's Sunday. But I've promised to provide you with some new tutorial today also! *grin*
SO! HOW 'BOUT A WIG HEAD TUTORIAL ;D ESPECIALLY FOR YOU MY BIG HEADED FRIENDS!
Actually... I just hate all the wig heads for sale. My head size is 62cm. So you can believe how well those 55cm wig heads fit me.
I even have some problems with all the wigs! I always have to cut off all the adjustable size wraps! ;__; And even then they are too small for me!
Well, my solution for the problem is this!
With only 10 euros! Yeah, around 15 dollars you can make your OWN wig head.
Which is exactly the same shape as your own head.
So you can actually style your wig only with this! No need to put it on and cut trough a mirror anymore! ^^
We all have a different face. Eyes, nose, lips. They are all in different places!
That's why I really recommend to make your own wig head. To get the best results in wig styling!~
Here ya go!
First! You need a packet of straws, a packet of cling film and one who

Bear with me for adding another thought regarding the cosplay scene, i cant help it if certain issues or stories end up quite thought provoking.
Stories of cosplayers being harassed by some spectators are the common buzz in the community recently, and it had me thinking, what provoked these people to commit such actions that are considered unappropriate by the cosplayers themselves?
There are already tips and suggestions focused towards the audience on how to treat cosplayers. Now in this blog, id like

My fabric! It needs to be ironed, haha. The blue is silk dupioni that I was lucky to find pretty cheap and the white is a shinier poly shantung from JoAnns. I liked them because I wanted some texture. I got this fabric a long time ago, but I've been procrastinating on the sari because making the trim is kinda a pain. Must work!

On misunderstandings about cosplayThis is a topic I've been meaning to talk about for quite a while now. I finally got the motivation to when Sarah sorairo-days emailed me to share my thoughts on what cosplay means to me, and what I feel it really means to be a cosplayer despite all the misconceptions about the hobby. It's for this article on Random Nerds, in which Sarah shares her side of it as well.On misunderstandings about cosplay3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Over the years, I've witnessed how cosplayers are constantly looked down upon, which makes people apprehensive towards it. It's such a shame because it's a wonderful and rewarding hobby which brings people together. And in general, I am firmly against making anyone feel bad about doing something they want to do.
I am aware that the concept of cosplay might be too much for some individuals, but our intention definitely isn't to get all up in everyone's faces and say everyone should cosplay or whatever. We just want to promote a

In this post, I'll get into how I did each one!
Intro, and some bad old pictures
For those of you who have the patience to read for some extra info!
When I started cosplaying, I didn't think makeup was such a major part of it. I was so hesitant to even put eyeliner because I'd think, "This character is a guy, I shouldn't look like I'm wearing makeup!" And I guess I was silly enough to think I looked enough like the characters I chose without doing anything to my face?
I can't find more pictures of my really old cosplays (which is just as well, hahah) from the time I didn't want to use makeup apart from these:
I cosplayed as Haku from Naruto. I don't remember wearing any makeup for this. It doesn't show too well on these pictures but I saw some others where the natural redness of my lips made it look like I was wearing lipstick even if I wasn't. I felt it made me look more feminine than I should. Haku is still a guy after al
