Last time, Ariel is taken prisoner to the Pit of Hate joined shortly by Esmeralda. Aku attacks Jack in a jealous fit but Vanessa is injured instead only to be lynched by the mob. Not long after Madam Mim informs the others of Ariel's whereabouts' causing Jack and the outsiders to go to her rescue.
The rescue team was approaching carefully to where Madam Mim had led them and were able to hear voices reverberating from the chasm below.
Esmeralda's voice: "Leave her alone!"
"You may have whisked her away once her memories had returned, but now she'll remain here for all time."

While the cybersquad was discussing current events with Vanessa and Aku joining forces behind everyone's back, Diaspro was getting a taste of karma in more ways than one.
She might have married Phoebus but it wasn't in anyway like Diaspro hoped it would be; she becomes viciously jealous of other women that interact with him including the waitress Esmeralda. And when she's either angry or insecure she has the most unbearable tantrums.
Sadly she takes it out on the people that deserve the blame the least including Madam Mim, it was enough to make anyone pity the wild old woman for having someone like Diasp

Early the very next morning, a still sleepy Mr. Grumpy received a few house calls from three different concerned families; sometime during the night, the cybersquad had run away and left notes telling them not to worry.
