This project finally came out. I had to stop all my studies and personal projects because of work and I only managed to retake my activities a few days ago.
Well, I thought I would not finish this character, but I did it! It was not my best performance, but other projects still to come (and hopefully get some progress with them).
I hope you enjoy!

My vision of the Podracer:
All modeled, textured, animated on Maya. Added a photoshoped composition of stellar clouds for nice background and some sound.

This is a still from my production reel, it's just this with a slight camera move really lol.

I used a bunch of programs for this, Maya, sculptris, photoshop, illustrator, premiere, after effects, a whole plethora lol.

Weeeeeeeell, here I present you this Magnificent 3D recreation from my mate Asier Cubero.

As he is reluctant to creating a D.A. account and in his CGTalk account no one had the slightest decency in comenting his work, I wonder if over here he will have the same luck or not.

Well, I upload this image with the purpose of people criticizing this image good or bad, But I don't accept sentences like "Oh what pretty" or just "I like it", My friend needs to know other peoples's opinions.

So please, don't comment for making me a favour, but for my friend's asier cubero work.

This is his Web Page -> [link]

Here I leave you the links to his art in 3D Foros, CGTalk HARDCORE MODELING CHALLENGE and YOUTUBE 360º Animation.

YOUTUBE:[link]

(Recommendable have a look at the youtube video, it allows watching from 360º. There are details that can't be seen in the image)

P.S. ¡¡¡¡¡HE HAS HAIR, YOU BLIND PEOPLE!!!!¿¿¿¿DON'T YOU SEE IT'S BROWN?????

AUTOR COMMENT (Asier Cubero):</i>

The image was made for a modeling challenge about 80's cartons. Because of that, the work is focused mainly in the form of the character and his armour rather than in the rest (texturing, lighting and scenario), what was created in a short period to give a background before the deadline.

And everything for being able to see from all possible angles as seen on the video.

image render time: 35 min
video render time: 90 hours aproximately

-Software: 3d studio max, photoshop, after effects

PD: Still learning to make humans ^^;

¡¡Thanks for your time guys!! :meow:

COMENTARIO DEL AUTOR (Asier Cubero):</i></b>

-Software: 3d studio max, photoshop, after effects

PD: Todavia estoy aprendiendo a hacer humanos.</i> ^^;

:star:Saludos: Asier Cubero:star:

Gracias por vuestro tiempo chicos ;)

DESCRIPTION
The making of the Starwars X-wing started as a little project during a seminar about Vray. After some practicing with Vray, the idea was to finish the seminar with a rendered image. Because there was no time completing the whole model of the X-wing within the seminar-week itself, I decided to finish the model afterwards.

An old animation of it you can find here
