“Hey, Yaya.” You said as you adjusted one of the wigs at Yaya’s booth, smiling as she smiled at you.
“Hi __y/n__!” Yaya said cheerfully, grabbing a lollipop from a bag underneath the table.
She popped the pink end into her mouth and sucked on it, flashing you another smile as you reached into a box to get a print out. You arranged them neatly on the table and chuckled in amusement as a cute little girl stepped nervously up the table, shyly asking Yaya for a picture.
Yaya agreed immediately, stepping away from the table and placing an arm around the girl while her mother snapped a photo. The girl squealed quietly as she walked away with her mother, practically bouncing in excitement.
That was one of the things you adored about Yaya, she was so genuine. She was sweet and nice to everyone, always willing to take a picture or sign a photo.
“How do I look?” Yaya asked, spinning around for you as she was preparing to leave the booth again.

I'll just call you that, if you don't mind. I know it's not your real name, but your real name hard to pronounce for me. Impossible, practically. I'm not particularly proud of that. After all, I am your father and it would be fair to call you by your actual name. But it seems few people around you have a feel for the Mohawk tongue, so like them, I will call you by a simpler name.
It's been three days since you left. Three days since you walked away from me in Valley Forge. You threatened to kill me should I follow or stop you and I have not seen you since.
Frankly, I wonder if I should have gone after you. Should have helped you. I should have simply ignored your threats and followed you anyway. Maybe then, you'd see things my way. Maybe you would finally listen to me. Maybe then, you would see reason and finally trust me.
Still, trusting is a hard thing for you to do, isn't it? After all the idealist nonsense that that senile fool Achilles put in

Fiora braces herself as a hard fist impacts with her face, crying out as she swears she can hear her jaw crack. The force of the blow is great enough for her to lose her balance and she finds herself tumbling to the ground, hissing at the pain of her body colliding with the cold, hard tiles. She barely has the time to recover as a boot is planted in her stomach, knocking the wind out of her, causing her back to reconnect with the surface in the most painful of ways.
She fights to bite back another whimper of pain and swiftly tries to get back onto her feet again. The next incoming punch to her face is quickly deflected and she immediately responds with one of her own. Her attacker lets out a furious growl as she hits him in the nose, managing to draw blood in the process, and responds with another swing that she can barely dodge.

Fiora Cavazza cannot sleep.
It's once again with great annoyance that she takes note of this fact. She has tried everything to fall asleep now, to have just a moment of peace to ease her tired mind. Still, no matter what she does, what she tries not to think about, the concept of rest is beyond her grasp. It has been a problem she has been dealing with for a while now and one that refuses to go away despite her best efforts.

She can no longer stand on her legs, as her dizziness makes her feel as if she stands on a swaying ship. Pure fatigue has taken over every single part of her being and her mind is screaming to be released into the realm of dreams as she's hoping, praying that she can finally sleep
But how can she? After all that has happened over the last few weeks, resting is abo

My vision finally began to blur as the door slowly opened. I soon became alert. A little figure slowly entered the room. With the curtains opened it was easier to tell the little figure was Damian in his finlet PJ’s with a hood attached to the shirt (curtsy of Alfred), with the light of the moon I could see the tears rolling down his face. I knew what to do after all this was the sixth time this month this has happened. I picked Damian up and walked over to my bed, as I sat down he instantly curled and pressed his face against my body. I realised was hugging the teddy bear I “secretly” put in his room. I rubbed his head and hugged him as the tears went down his face...”The nightmare again?” I asked although I knew the answer. He simply nodded and hugged the teddy bear tighter. Being the eldest of the brothers I feel like this is my responsibility to look after everyone, Damian being the youngest only 10 years old is not exactly your average happy lit

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've been sitting on this one for a while. I didn't know if I liked it when I first wrote it and then I kind of forgot about it. However, my new poll has reminded me that many of you want to see more in the Linchpin verse, so I dug this out and cleaned it up a bit. It's nothing but pure fluff – which is why I think I'm so iffy about it. There is no Robin Torture at all in it! Seriously!
DISCLAIMER: I've said it many times, but I'll say it again because I don't want to be sued: They're not mine! (Please don't sue me!)

He held in his hands his Kid Flash costume. It almost felt heavy in his hands. Retiring had been his idea, and to do that he had to give up the costume and all that came with it. Artemis went along with it surprisingly well. She chose to keep one last costume of hers for memory’s sake though (maybe it would be used for late night patrols when she wanted to relax). Wally thought he should too, but that would go against his idea of retirement. It was a bit of a conundrum in the Crock-West household.
The ginger shook his head at the thought, trying to shake it out. No more arguments about hero stuff, that was the agreement. Only arguing about what they should have for dinner, or who was the better kisser. Wally was adamant that he was. Artemis

He wasn’t sure if he was in a room or out in the open. Everything was white, but there weren’t any walls, doors, or windows to make Dick think he was in a room. Light reflected off the white, making Dick wince at how bright it was.
Dick rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands, feeling a migraine rippling through this head. He slowly stood up and looked around, “Hello?”
Dick whirled around at the sound of the voice behind him. “Jason!” Dick ran, his arms outstretched, itching to hold Jason. He threw himself at Jason, knocking them back several steps. Dick sighed at the familiar feeling of Jason’s arms

Jason didn't know how long he had sat there, next to the bed of his dead brother. It could have been minutes, seconds; hours… at this point he didn't care. All he cared about was that he failed Dick. He'd let him die, he could have helped in some way. He didn't bother to clean the blood off his face where it was slowly drying. He deserved it, deserved to have his brother's blood on him, as a reminder that he had failed.
He knew he couldn't have known about the explosion. But he still failed Dick. He growled at himself just as the door opened. Doctor Leslie Tompkins walked into the room. She looked at Jason; he was in the shadows, his eyes covered in dark red blood. She stepped back for a second, startled at the sight. "Jason…" was all she said. She walked over and helped the young man up. "Tim's waiting outside for you…" she said, knowing they were short on time. Jason slowly walked out just as the team walked in.

Wally walked into the warehouse, the same one that he had seen Artemis leave with Kaldur. He sighed, his features tense. He didn't know how he was going to tell both of them, but he needed to. He wouldn't leave the two of them in the dark. He walked towards a few boxes, leaning against them, and waited. He felt terrible, felt like he had gotten hit by a truck in fact. He didn't know what he was going to do. He sighed again; he couldn't just come out and say it. "Hey guys, you know that bomb you put in the Mountain? Ya well Nightwing sort of got caught in the explosion and he might die." Ya, that sounded like it would go over well.
"Wally?" a feminine voice asked into the warehouse.
"Artemis?" He walked towards the voice, the mask of a tiger showed in the dark. Artemis stepped out, her blond hair not really fitting with the color of the costume. Wally always loved her in green, he didn't like the new tiger themed costume, he didn't like havi

Alfred was doing some dusting around Bruce’s computer area when he heard us come in. “Master Wallace, what a pleasant surprise!” He stopped what he was doing to open the door/ bookshelf for us. “Is there anything I can get you two?”
I snake my arm around Wally’s waist, “Maybe in a bit, we have to talk with Bruce. Is he home?”
“Yes, he is in his study.”
I look up at Wally as we walk out of the library and towards Bruce’s study. His eyes were sunken in and his face was pale; he looked… empty. It’s amazing that he could have been in such a good mood this morning and now he was in this pit of depression. The words Wally and depressed just didn’t even seem to go together.
I stop our walk towards the study and take both of his hands in mine.

Time seemed to slow as Jason pulled out the gun from its holder. The gun was pressed against Kaldur's head and the trigger was being pulled back. But Tim was faster, he dove at Jason, knocking him off Kaldur just as the gun was about to go off. The gun fired, hitting the ground right next to Kaldur's head and flew off to some unknown place.
"This is no time for fighting Jason!"
Jason growled and turned on Tim, pointing the gun at him only to halt when he saw who it was. Tim looked shocked for a second but relaxed when Jason dropped the gun to the ground and fell to his knees. The younger boy fell to his knees as well and hugged his older adoptive brother. Jason was not one for crying but at this moment his whole world was crashing down around him, Dick was dead, his brother was dead, and he'd just pointed a gun straight at Tim's head, what kind of person was he?

Clack clack clack!
The subtle sound of fingers racing across keys of a laptop wakens me from my light sleep. To any normal human the noise would be nothing more than a whisper, but to me, they're as loud as a shout. Especially since it's the distinct sound of Tim's keyboard.
He's up late again...
I sit up in his bed and rub the sleep from my eyes as I slide off of my soft bed. Without making a single sound I follow the clacking, walking out into the hallway, down a few stairs, and into the main sitting room. It doesn't take me long to spot the slim figure of my boyfriend sitting cross-legged on top of one of the large couches, slightly illuminated by the white-blue light of his laptop screen. His fingers haven't taken a single break yet, still working furiously to accomplish whatever task their owner had set for them since I had first heard them. I can't keep the slight smile from crossing my lips.

Artemis jolted from her sleep as Wally's voice whispered around her. Frantically, she looked around, a flash of red and yellow assaulted her eyes, but she dismissed it quickly. Her mind was playing tricks on her. Wally was dead. Had been for months. Get your shit together, Crock. He's never coming back.
Shivers ran over her skin as she blinked back the tears. Closing her eyes against the images of him in his stealth mode costume as he swung her up in his arms and kissed her for the first time. Sobbing quietly to herself, Artemis mumbled, “No kidding...” before she drifted back into a Wally filled sleep.

He was a little bit younger than Dick was, and he must be involved with drugs or something because he dawned the oddest costume. "You, you, you're the original Robin. You're the original partner to Batman, Grayson- you must remember!"

It's been raining like crazy outside for the past five hours. Thunder, lightning, the works. I'd actually like to get some sleep when I don't have to "work" ya know. I glance at my bedroom doorway out into the hall and see a shadow just at the edge. Too small and hesitant to be Alfred. That leaves only one person and I'm really not that surprised.

He's dressed down in his lime green pajamas with kittens on them, feet bare, and hair a tangled mess. He's scowling at me like he always does but there's something else besides annoyance hidden in those blue eyes. I wouldn't tell him that though. Kid needs his pride.
