After serveral requests, I decided to upload a tutorial for my absinthe corset today. As you can see I used the same pattern for my steampunk corset dress Mademoiselle ╔meraude Steam.
This tutorial shows an elaborate corset. Patterns can be found on the Internet at Burda / Simplicity or even online shops about historical patterns and corsets.
Many steps can be used for a simple corsage. The steps

We're sponsoring Artists' Alley 2012!
We're headed to Comic-Con International:
San Diego to sponsor Artists' Alley!
We Love Artists' Alley
We're back at Comic-Con!
Last year, our sponsorship of Artists' Alley was a huge success. We were able to provide a more comfortable environment for the artists, display their art on huge screens over the Alley, and let people attending the convention draw with deviantART muro on fantastic digital screens. We plan to do this and more in 2012 as we take on the great pleasure of sponsoring Artists' Alley at San Diego Comic-C
Small Hints how to get views, faves etc.For a lot of you it might be nothing new, but since a lot of you are either new on dA or not experienced with something like "strategies" to get views, comments and faves for their works i (your most favourite dA group guy :icongbk666: ) thought i write up a few hopefully useful hints for you.Small Hints how to get views, faves etc.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Upload as many drawings / photos etc. as you can. Some of you would argue now that it can be counterproductive if the deviations are not good, but i come to that point in #2
2. Join Groups. A Ton of them.. at least 15-25 . And submit your stuff to them on a regular base. BUT only the things you consider by yourself as "good" . The rest is for your gallery only, and interesting for those deviants who want to see sketches, WIP's etc.
Always care about the theme of the dA groups of course and about their rules. áIf you are not Alvin Lee, Artgerm or Genzoman or have over 100k views on your profile already and over 400-500 watchers at least you really need dA groups to g

First introduced by Marvel in 1963, The Avengers was Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s superheroic response to the success of DC Comics’ Justice League of America.
In the original comic the founders of the superhero team were Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Ant–Man, and The Wasp who came together to defeat the evil god Loki. The 2012 live–action Avengers movie loosely based on Marvel

They want all the cool shit, without the slog through the mud for the first 3 - 5 years to get there. They want instant rockstar status, to tell their friends, to be cool nerds etc.
My lecturer at Qantm, stood up in an auditorium and told the entire room of 70 odd brand new students that at the end of this diploma, there would only be about 20 people left, of which 10 or so would pass, and only 2 or 3 may get a job, of which 1 or maybe 2 will be in the games industry for any great length of time.
That stuck with me big time, and what he

Why Artists Should Know The TOP 5 Social Networks.Isn't it true that we live in a time where the average person's attention span/curiosity is gone in a matter of seconds? Aren't most people worried about advertising/marketing to others because it seems too difficult to gain any real traction? Why Artists Should Know The TOP 5 Social Networks.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Is there a resolution? Absolutely! You must remain consistent in your distribution of content to the end-user. It's like an insurance commercial you hate because it plays every 30 minutes, but it seems to be the only brand you can remember when it's time to find a provider. Point is... the internet is expanding rapidly, it's harder to maximize reach to your audience/potential clients if you're just active on one social media site. You need to stay in front of people with your activities/work if you are to make an impact. What if they spend most of their time on twitter, but you're only on facebook? What if they dislike the intrusiveness and functional complexity of facebook, but adore the freedom of instagram or pinterest? Get my drift? You need
Legend of Korra: Costume Design! One of the neat things about being the lead designer of a show like Young Justice is getting to interact with the fans through sites like this one, seeing the awesome fan art you guys do is a big inspiration for myself and a lot of the other artists and writers on the show. It really keeps us motivated knowing that you guys and girls appreciate the characters and stories we are creating. Along with great art my other favorite aspect of fandom, and easily the most hardcore representation of it, is the cosplayers and their dedication to show accurate costumes. So with SDCC right around the corner I thought I would share a little something interesting with all you Legend of Korra fans out there, as well as cosplayers in general. Last year at around this time my good buddy, Joaquim http://2-cents.deviantart.com/, who is a co-executive producer on Korra, asked my wife, she is a clothing designer by trade, to create a show accurate Korra outfit to be worn by the official model representing tLegend of Korra: Costume Design!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Let's talk: Martial Arts Movies!FGE is all about fighting games and beat 'em ups but i bet that a lot of you - like myself - like martial arts movies..be they about Kung Fu in China, Muay Thai like in Ong Bak or something very different like the Undisputed Trilogy.Let's talk: Martial Arts Movies!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
There are a ton of great martial arts movies out there but which are your favourites and which do you recommend? I try to build up a list /database of cool martial arts movies in this journal now for the future which could be updated from time to time and be of use for some of us when we search a good martial arts movie, i start with the first ten!
Please write a 2-5 lines review and description for movies you recommend.Maybe add 1-3 actor names too. Anything counts, from fun stuff like Kung Pow to fantasy martial art movies like Hero.
You are also welcome to rate the movies already listed here so readers see multiple ratings of FGE members here. (1=worst 10=awesome)

You can also always just contact me GBK and FGE Group Dictator ..in really stupid cases i use the groups sometimes too to get the focus on art thieves.
Small rant because it is true
People who also suck:
All the people who upload a ton of SoulCalibur and/ or SFXT Screenshots.
People who upload not one..not two..not 5, but over 150! official Tekken artworks to their gallery and seem to believe dA is something like imageshack.
People who don't share the FGE Admin's opinion!
Happy Advent Time everyone!
