When danger makes me want to hide you'll Rainbow Dash to my side.

A heart that shines so beautiful a Rarity to come by.

EDITED: removed the nose shadow from Rainbow, same with her eye shadow... it looked like she got punched in the eye.

From: Season 2 Episode 25/26 - A Canterlot Wedding Part1/2? I forget. Someone help me on that.

It isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. But, I certainly didn't enjoy doing it. SCREW YOU, RARITY AND YOUR FABULOUS MANE! Also, noted how it's a lot more defined than that other one. Likely because of how poorly scaled the AJ one was.

Up next: The rest of the cast that I haven't rotoscoped welded together. (Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sperkle.) If'n ya got a specific gif (recommended: 20-25 frames MAX) for these last three, or any other ponies you want to see in this style. Send that there gif my direction and I'll handle it within the year, likely!

Kindness is never in short supply, once smitten twice Fluttershy.

EDITED: removed shadow from nose. Might need to remove emphasis on the nose, still, some more.

From: Season 1 Episode 17 - Stare Master

Finally got around to finishing this. I might've been pretty lazy about it. I'm thinkin' I'm finally gettin' the hang of doing this LOOK STYLE, WHATEVER rotoscope stuff proper. Should do a specific part of the layers a day (outline, eyes, shadows, etc.), as opposed to the entire frame, then the next. Seems to work faster, A LOT faster that way once I can consistently hit a certain look I like then redraw it in that way every time.

Anyway, enough of that crap. Here it is, in its final form. Yes, this is its final form, you can use all of your mana and items here. She is a world champ, ya know. You just can't beat her *SQUEE*.

EDIT: Her motherfuckin' name will be the death of me. I cannot tell you how many times I've typed "FlutterYshy". Fixed that before you guys will ever catch it.

Together we can raise this barn! 1, 2, 3, 4!

Think this is the hardest one, somehow. I think I made it bigger than usual... I also had to shade all those stupid little fritters.

There. I'm done with it. Leave me alone. And by that, I mean, tell me what's wrong with it, so I can fix it.

Oh hey! There's a critique thing I have access to, now. Critique it. Now. So I can fix it. Or something.

~foormaaldehyde pointed out to me that these aren't "Rotoscopes". They are right. Rotoscopes are live-action shots that are drawn upon, like that A-Ha music video or Hotel Dusk. This is just inspired on Hotel Dusk's look, which had rotoscopic-use. I was confused and am no longer calling these animations, in this style, "rotoscopes". Thanks for addressing that.

I used to wonder what friendship could be, until you all shared its magic with me.

EDIT: Removed bump-nose advanced. Also, preview doesn't look like it came out of a 90's computer's butt.

From: Season 2 Episode 9 - Sweet and Elite

Phew. I am, now, done with the mane six, guys. Jeeze, each one was rough, and now I'm incredibly disappointed with my Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Applejack submissions.

Rarity and Rainbow Dash, if only because it's just a short loop, not in the same style as the others.

Applejack... you can see what's up with that one (SUPER PIXELATED EDITION)

Anyway, there ya have it, again I am taking submissions of short gifs/scenes, if you guys have any particular bit you want to see rotoscoped like this. If I don't see any, I'll just look for very specific ones.

And no, I didn't forget about the Sweetie Belle one, I-forget-who-asked-for-it.

You all make fun and laughter, as easy as Pinkie Pie!

EDIT: No more bump for nose shading

From: Season 1 Episode 1 - Friendship is Magic, part 1

I'll let y'all in on a little secret. I screwed this one up. A lot, there were a lot of small things that I screwed myself over in the long run, that I forgot I did that everything started falling apart during the shading process. BOY, THAT WAS FUN. I think I'd have been on top of it, if I had just done it all like I'd done my others. Hastily and filled with spite.

Doesn't look as bad as I thought it'd turn out, but there's some stupid mistakes if you look for them. (I'll give you one, frame 5 is really weird.)

ANYWAY, enough of that. Here's the completed Pinkie Pie. Now, my regret is that I should've waited until that Too Many Pinkie Pies episode aired, there's a ton of gif-able bits in there. Damn...

Up next: The one and only pony I've not yet WORD REMOVED SEE MARKED BOXES FOR DETAILS. (I'll give you a hint, she has a horn and has 5 friends that I've already done.)

It's the moment you all have been waiting for. The 3-frame still. Which means I'm relatively close to being done with the full thing!

I'm not exactly sure why I like posting the still, separate from the full. Maybe it's to show progress? Eh? What? Ugh. I also wanted to note that I decided to stop doing that shadow under the nose thing. It made it look really off. Like it was a little bump on a round face.

It's been a month and here she is, not really raising that barn. But she is raising the roof! Highfives all around! *receives none*

Now, this is just the last bit of what I'm intending to do. I figured since it was just the last frames I use for the "standing" animation, I figure, why not let you guys enjoy it?

And look at them eyes, they're just shining with delight!

EDITED: Updated the nose shadow. By that, I mean I removed it.

EDIT: Updated awful nose bump shadow.

There, the still animation's done. I always like doing the stills, first. Reason being so that A. I can submit something, and then have something else immediately come afterwards and B. so that I can see what that last frames'll look like when I repeat them for a bit.

Twilight's awful pleased with herself, ain't she?

I really don't know what else to add... The final bit of it is coming within the week... yeeeeeeeaaaaaah!

After a long battle with scurvy, malaria, OC-itis, I'd hit the tablet and wrote my own language. It, oddly, looked very much like someone else's work. I shook my own head in disbelief... it was a pony, again. Shame settled within and I decided it necessary to present to all other pony-folk.

Their impression:

EDIT: No more bump-for-nose shadows!

UGH. This, alone, took me quite some time and I hated it. Doing work is for suckers... so why do I do it??? I slack off, too... and there are so many frames left, oh God. I'm such a whiney asshole too.

Anyway, this is just the "still" animation for the finished product. You can already guess what the rest'll be. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah party blah blah blah blah Pinkie Pie blah blah blah My Little Pony blah blah blah farts blah blah blah NOT-rotoscope madness.
