Use Your Art to Help Save a Species!
Last year, over 400 people participated in the International Cheetah Day Challenge on December 4th to help raise awareness and help save the cheetah! This year we have even more planned as we approach the big event. Read on to learn all about what's in store for ICDC 2013!

There were 365 cheetah deviations created for the ICDC, and 12 journals!
Some of these submissions were from people who had just heard about the ICDC on December 4th and joined in raising awareness!
Some participants are selling their art and donating profits to cheetah conservation! We encourage you to do this!
Many participants submitted several deviations, and some deviations have over 900 views!!!

Make sure your cheetah is recognizable as a cheetah! The most recognizable feature of cheetahs is the black tear lines on their faces. Other important features are their lean body and small black spots. Also, make sure your submission respects cheetahs.

What is a colormorph?
A colormorph is a genetic mutation that causes the cheetah to have an abnormal fur pattern. These mutations are recessive genes, much like blue eyes and blonde hair in humans are recessive. Looking up the coat variations of a siamese cat, or any cat, gives an excellent example of colormorphs.
