Loveless
Still like dreaming, you hold me dear-
The Autumn night surreal, the silence bare;
The wind a still gossamer like web tangled wings,
Soft whispers touching of clementine dreams...
The gifts of the Goddess, we take to the skies
An embrace of twilight that between us, lies-
Of masquerading truths and clandestine desires,
And darkening lusts and kindling fires-
You spoke to me, on that Autumn's night
And gave me empty promises that still set me alight-
Temptations, bitter honey, multicolored leaves
All set to rot when spent the last of the eve-
And twisting your hands, you turned the world to naught-

Like granite with finesse
Days and nights
The come down monster
I had a drink
Six, seven, eight more
Always and sometimes
Completely nothing
The weeks of illness
Before it pulled your eyes shut
No small talk
Just plain, empty time
I walked to the store for smokes
Struggled not to howl
There was fly paper nailed to the register
Legs still moving
And I knew what they were buzzing for
Hell had found you first

Look at yourself!!Look!
You're the brightest star of them all.
See,darling,you're the most beautiful one,
But still,you chose to fall.
Your wings shattered,
And your soul went black,
Did you ever regret it,my dear?
You keep it silent, there's no way back.
You left heaven behind you,
Do you miss it? I know I do,
I miss the innocence and the glitter,
The sweetness of the clouds and the truth.
I miss my wings,
Yes,honey,I lost them too.
See,when you fell,
I jumped. I fell with you.
I just wish you'd take me in your embrace,
Hold me tight and never let me go
Your sinful lips on mine,
Send me the wind and I'll know.
I can feel

She is brilliant, they say,
but she knows she is lost.
Numbers are her companion,
she understands their mean, average.
Words can twist her brain,
she loves the wonder they bring.
She is intelligent, they say,
but sometimes,
she doesn't feel clever enough.
Sometimes she feels clever too much.
Excusez-moi, in perfect French,
but nothing is gained by perfect word tense.
She is clever, they say.
But she is not clever the way they know.
She sees things as they are,
and she prefers her thoughts to the world.
She knows she loves them more than they in return

Speak to me, my little flower
Dancing in the breeze
With your frail and fragile stem
You are braver than the trees
Bend for me, my faithful flower
Bend yourself at your knees
With your keen and natural instincts
You will survive the looming bees
Spread your petals as wide as you can
As your pollen starts to blow
To the oceans and their sands
And as far as they can go
Pollinate the others
With your warm and loving scent
Never fear the storm that's near
For I will circumvent
Live for me, my precious flower
I'll cover you from snow
With my rugged, worn-down hands
I will help you grow
Cry for me, my wounded flo

most familiar, but you can’t define it.
Intangible, like the way a field of cotton
breathes before a rainstorm, or those
pieces of yourself, left behind on the
far away sidewalks of your childhood.
One day it will be the hottest summer
recorded in fifty seven years.
Your wife and children will be somewhere
without you so you’ll sit on the porch and
sweat out the memories.
You’ll think about the time your father
took you on a road trip to the Rockies.
The only time you ever spent alone with the man.
You’ll also think about the nights when he slept
on the couch and how your br

Deep in the stillness, I wander but a ghost thru mists of shadow & sanguine ..
And the trees bathe in the mystique of Night’s serenade
Covet thee my love immortal, for we are hunters of a dream untamed, poetry
bleeding into the abyss ... Candle whispers drink a sky of wine, unto where I
sojourn — in the caress of your lips, and ache of darkest Moon

Upon malodorous rapture of orphaned darkness,
eternal melancholy becomes twisted and hollow
In the severed reflections of sanguine shadows,
we will drown in ruby tears of pain and sorrow
Whispers of odium seep gently into my dreams...
The Raven lingers in solemn clouds dark as coal
My blood surges like a chorus of bitter requiem
And my lips the anathema of your dying soul
Dark lust hums like a cold tide of weeping voices
Perfumed in ash & bone, hallucinations imbue
Blood soaked robes hang from my slender bride,
shimmering like scarlet threads under ebon skies
After sable petals fall upon my beloved's gra

I Love the RainYesterday, the sky grew dark for hoursI Love the Rain6 months ago in Free Verse More Like This
I looked up and I knew the rain would fall
Then I heard the soft sound of raindrops
The clouds had heard Nature's call
It would delight me to see people running
I saw that scene once before
They wander about like nothing will happen
Then the rain pours
And they rush indoors
I wear my mack in the showers
I look at the sky when I go outside
I expect changes in the weather
And I am not so surprised
I welcome the rain after dry days
When the sun beats down and the air is hot
I sit in my cafe in the pouring rain
Watching all the others run to and fro
From the rain I learned to enjoy
I love the rain

and caught a sight of blinding white.
My eyes shut close
for just a second
and I stepped back again
Dark little secrets
followed me
from where I've been.
and now I know...
I walked across
a field ablazed.
There was no fear,
no trepidation,
only a memory-
your fingers
on the strings of my guitar.
I walked across
and I came back again.
These days,
I saunter down the strange pathways
of your affection
where the lightness in my heart is rivaled only
by that strange rapture
at the moment of my death.
Collecting grime,
my shoes gain miles.
Black little flowers bloom as I walk by.

Calm breeze, blowing, whispering to no one
Maples color the infinite horizon,
Pines stand as sentinels, never changing, evergreen, over the harsh winter
Grass fades to brown as the geese seek warmer abodes
Sunshine warms my face, yet the wind brisk and chilly
Now I find myself at one with my home.
An autumn in Michigan, however unpredictable, but gorgeous and humbling
Leaves us covered in a blanket of snow,
Animals scurry to enlarge their stores for the coming season
Leaves crackle and crunch as I walk,
Fields illuminated by the fall sunshine, show wildflowers of summers past,
Dry husks adding to the ne

To all those that cross their enraged path
With all crossroads leading to an uncertain fate
Because storms have always been

As their urges are insignificant
But still mirror those of the storms
As they are shaped in a lost image
Once taken to by the ancient summer's day
To shield their pastel figures from the darkness
Cast by sullen clouds over ruined fates
That were beyond the reach of restless fae

I sat on the old trunk at the shore.
The lakes surface was sparkled by countless raindrops, falling from the
sky I could not look at.
It felt like the stars were crying with me.
It was like the whole world fell in silence.
All I could hear was the sound of my tears.
Falling, from my deaf face.
Crashing, through the water.
And sinking, to the ground.
Never seen again.
All left in me were the memories, paired with the sweet pain.
I was empty.
My heart was only a void,
and my soul was torn apart into a shadow of itself.
I stared into the water.
Time passed, but I did not care.
Time was something that did not longer matter.

'Sorry' doesn't make the pain go away
Sorry doesn't remove the knife in my heart
Sorry doesn't even begin to start
To heal the blood that has been shed
To revive the heart that has been dead
It doesn't remove the scars that have been made
It doesn't even help the wounds fade
You tell me of your regrets
All of your lies and yet
I can't seem to care
Because I don't know how much more I can bare!
My fragile mind can't take much hurt
It can't stand by and watch you treat me like dirt
As you kick in my heart
Rip out my spine
Poison my brain
Until I have nothing left
And go insane.

Muscle, blood and
Those promises of motherhood
Until dusk,
When the moon guts you.
Your mother's tynged
Makes you the hollow flesh of flowers
And drawing dirty water into your
Ovaries, you tear yourself open,
A tiger lily.
I hide in the branches
And looking back, expect the cold silhouette
Of a predator
Upon the moon,
But it has sunk into a wet morning
And you are foetal,
Your bloods, muscles and bones
Renewed.

I only fear being consumed by darkness

It will find I hold

Because hope is a thing with feathers

Seconds and minutes
Hours and days
These were the days of our lives.
They came and went
And died in our eyes
The world spun
And the people cried.

Jewels in the DustFlowers bloom against the harsh rain and penetrating heat of the sun. Birds chirp to welcome the day born from the cold of the night. The endless force of water flows despite its ravaged passageways. Another day, another light. Another chance for our wings to take flight. And though perhaps this has been talked about far too many times, such a topic is one that does not wear with each chance it is uttered. Instead, like the stubborn blades of grass fighting through narrow cracks of cement, it only stands much taller and becomes much brighter as its never-ending tale of hope and love changes a life one after the other.Jewels in the Dust6 months ago in Philosophical More Like This
