Why is Pokemon Black and White 2 trolling me?Ok for Heartgold, I made a commitment to catch ALL the Pokemon, I wanted to follow the original idea of 'Gotta Catch'em all' before Pokemon America dropped that slogan after realising Ash only filled up like 10% of the Pokedex. And thats what happened, I caught all 493 Pokemon and got my certificate. Hours of leveling up, hours of breeding, hours of finding the Pokemon (Including buying previous versions just to get certain Pokemon), hours of looking up what items/stones are needed to get certain evolution, good job me.
Then Pokemon Black and White came out, I kinda half expected there to be a new Pokemon game coming out with new Pokemon anyway, so I wasn't too bothered by completing my dex again for the 5th gen games. Its actually not as bad because instead of trading Pokemon over (Which can take quite a while) this time you can play the slingshot minigame where u shoot your pokeball at 6 pokemon at a time, its a nice little game to make it seem like you are doing more than jus

Where do you buy your clay? Help us make a list!I'm sure that at some point, this happened to most of us: "wow polymer clay/air dry clay is great! but do they sell it in my country? where can I buy it?". It's also the most asked question for clay groups and clay artists! So if anyone asks you again where to buy clay, you can just send them a link to this page.Where do you buy your clay? Help us make a list!4 years ago in Personal More Like This
So, how cool would it be if we made a list? Think about how many new artists we would be helping... if you had problems finding clay at the beginning, I'm sure that you were really grateful to that nice person that helped you find it. Also, in countries where clay is really hard to find, having a bigger demand would convince more stores to start stocking clay!
It's a WIN/WIN for all of us: you are giving something back to the community, and you are increasing your possibilities of making clay more readily available to you. Also, you get a cookie for being so awesome! Maybe you will even learn of a new store that is closer or cheaper!
We will be listing both physi
Predictions + Wii-U infoOn Announcing New ConsolesPredictions + Wii-U info3 years ago in Personal More Like This
This is how it always goes. You announce your console at E3, then the following E3 you set a release date and it comes out. Since neither Microsoft or Sony announced a new console that means the earliest they will will be E3 2013 and the earliest still that the 720 and Ps4 will be released to the home market will be 2014.
Also it should be pointed out that the Ps4 will not be a power house. Sony has already confirmed that they aren't going to make the Ps4 a beast of a machine, having learned their lesson from the Ps3 which was too expensive at launch and wasn't able to compete against the Wii's price point and the 360's head start. Besides, at this point, graphics can only go so far and instead newer ways to play are what are going to decide the fate of the next gen console systems (as the Wii-U is already showcasing).
Microsoft has already confirmed as well that an updated Kinect device will be part of their next consoles too, so it's unlikely that th

3DS Updates & Mario Kart CommunitiesSort of a continuation of my last journal. I talked about briefly the 3DS update, but I didn't realize how extensive the update was till after I posted. So I thought I'd just give a quick rundown of everything that's new.3DS Updates & Mario Kart Communities3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The first big update is that the 3DS camera can now record 10 minute videos in 3D. There isn't much beyond that, but it's still really neat to be able to do. The videos are automatically saved to your SD card and like the pictures you can adjust how much they pop out or sink in by simply moving the analogue stick.
A new channel has been created called the Nintendo Zone. I haven't been able to use this myself yet, but from what I understand if you take your 3DS to a store like Best Buy, it's supposed to automatically update special content. This special content is kinda vague, but on Nintendo's website they list exclusive 3D videos, play select games online, discover new and old games for the eShop, and receive more surprise content. I'll probably be able to explain th
Christmas Fun FactsDid you know that Jesus wasn't actually born on December 25th?Christmas Fun Facts3 years ago in Personal More Like This
nowhere in the bible does it mention his birthday.
Celebration of 12/25 was first introduced by Roman pagans. It was the holiday of Saturnalia and they had a week long celebration from the 17th to 25th. Christians imported the Saturnalia festival hoping to take the pagan masses with it, and set aside the festival's conclusion (the 25th) for celebration of Jesus's birth.
So there ya go. The origin of Christmas. lol
In any case, happy birthday Jesus, whenever that is.
So where did Santa Claus come from?
Well, it all starts with a man named Nicholas. Nicholas was a bishop who lived from 270~345CE. In 1087, the Nicholas cult moved his bones from Turkey to Italy, where he replaced a female boon-giving deity called The Grandmother (Pasqua Epiphania) who used to fill the children's stockings with her gifts. Members of this cult exchanged gifts on December 6th, the anniversary of Nicholas's death.
Nicholas cult spread north and
I don't drinkThis is an image of me when I got totally hammered. :I ok thats not true, the thing is I don't get drunk no matter how much I drink. It has been tested and the most drunk state you will ever see me is just me being a little tipsy, even so I am well aware of my surroundings and well conscious of things happening around me. I remember in High School I used to sneak vodka in my water bottle so during class I could have a few sips of vodka and feel like a total badass, I don't even like to drink that much but I was mostly doing it because it was quite a thrill. So why don't I get drunk? I have no idea. This may or may not do with anything but when I am asleep and I hear a noise, I get well awake very easily and knows exactly where I am and how to talk to whoever is in my room properly, Im always at my most sober state whenever I am awake is what I am trying to say... So this may have something to do with it? Im always on alert so no embarrassing moment can ever happen to me, HELL NAW! ButI don't drink3 years ago in Personal More Like This
My Minecraft Testificate InfestationIn Minecraft there are these squidward like villagers called Testificates. In a recent update they were given new abilities such as having babies to repopulating a town based on the number of houses there are. Since the requirement for a "house" is simply a room with a roof and a door, I decided to spend my time building a massive city for the Testificates to populate, using a generated village as a starting point. My Minecraft Testificate Infestation3 years ago in Personal More Like This
After building a number of houses, I began noticing the little children running wild and there becoming quite a LOT of villagers. I undertook a huge task of building a BIG open area underground with a couple doors and lights. Because the area was so big, the Testificates began to... um... OVER populate.
These little buggers reproduced the village so fast that I couldn't keep up and soon they were overflowing out of buildings. Mob attacks couldn't keep up with the rate they were repopulating, and the iron golems that kept spawning (for every 15 villager a new one spawns) made

Merry Christmas Zelda TIMELINE!Nintendo is celebrating Zelda's 25 year anniversary by releasing a Zelda encyclopedia/art book in Japan. From early reports and translations there's something rather unexpected in there... the much sought after Zelda Timeline.Merry Christmas Zelda TIMELINE!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Trying to figure out the Zelda timeline has been a geek pastime for decades, and it's only been made more desirable thanks to Nintendo releasing cryptic responses of both "yes we have one" to "no we don't" over the years. With the caveat that this might all be bunk because it's too early to tell just yet, here is how Nintendo sees the Zelda timeline: http://wii.ign.com/articles/121/1215301p1.html
First up you need to understand one thing... there IS a split in the timeline thanks to Ocarina of Time. Yes the split timeline theory IS correct... sort of. What you probably didn't know is that the split isn't into two alternate timelines resulting from the different endings... but actually THREE timelines. Let me explain...

3DS Game ReviewsMutant Mudds3DS Game Reviews3 years ago in Personal More Like This
This is a game with a "history" of sorts. It was originally being developed as a modern style 3D platforming game for DSI ware. It eventually evolved into a retro 2-D sidescrolling platforming game with a 3D layered effect and kick-ass chip-tune music. Evolving from a 3D to a 2D game is kinda backwards but it works beautifully.
The plot is pretty simple. Alien mudd creatures crash on earth and a kid armed with a watergun has to stop them. You advance by collecting diamond gems while jumping on platforms, shooting monsters, and hovering Mario Sunshine style over pits. There is a twist which involves your character being able to jump way off into the distance or right up close to the screen to make use of the 3D feature of the 3DS. It's very much akin to the mechanics seen in Wario Land on the Virtual Boy.
The music is catchy and upbeat and the gameplay is pretty solid, but I felt that it was a little boring. The levels are extremely linear and the diamonds practically draw

Does anyone wanna do a sketchbook penpal thing?UPDATEDoes anyone wanna do a sketchbook penpal thing?3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Yowza, okay, it looks like there are a whole lot of people who are interested in going along with this! Well, I'll be working this out, but here's a bit of an update:
Just to be clear, everyone will be sending out a sketchbook of their own. Something light and easy to ship... not a big, fat, hardcover bound book (unless you're up to paypaling everyone shipping costs). Anyway, said sketchbook will be sent from you, (person A) to person B, who will draw in it, and send it to person C, who will draw in it and send it off to D, etc etc. When there are no more artists, or if the book is filled, it'll be sent back to you. It'll take some major time, but part of the fun will be getting a random sketchbook in the mail to draw in, I think.
The master list of people participating will have names, general areas of residence (city, state, provence, country-no addresses) and contacts (email, dA, twitter, tumblr, etc), and whether or not he or she i

Ry is one awkward turtle when it comes to physical greetings. I didn't even have to do physical greetings when I was younger, but now we need to handshake, bro shake, bro fist bump, high 5, hug, hug and peck on the cheeks, suck each other off..... OMG and its different greetings for different types of people, you need to look out for culture, age, relationship, gender, the gender THEY relate better to. WHY ISH IT SO COMPLICATED? Why can't we just agree to ONE greeting for everybody? @_____@" I was born in an Asian family and their greetings consists of waving and nodding, simple! I liked that, I like the fact that there's no sort of physical contact, I tell you why I like that... its not because I am unfriendly, but the fact that I don't think my friends has washed their hands after jerking off. :I Oh yeah, you think guys wash their hands after choking the chicken? The Red CalaverasOk, so we all know I'm pretty simple (both in mind and art). I'm not about deep plots or the integral messages behind matching themes and symbolism or anything like that. I'm probably about as low-brow as you can get, is what I'm saying. That's all well and good for me, I'm happy here in my simple world, but if you're craving more thought provoking stuff then I suggest you check out "The Red Calaveras." http://www.redcalaveras.com/The Red Calaveras3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The comic itself is about music. Not specifically about the band playing the music, what I mean is that knowing music and being able to identify the music is kinda important to understanding the meaning behind some of the strips.
Take this one for example: http://www.redcalaveras.com/Default.aspx?ID=12212011 At the top of the strip is a song. The song that is playing is "Last Caress" and if you play the song on your guitar, you get the part in the chorus where you are supposed to say:
"Sweet lovely death I am waiting for your breath Come s
Nintendo’s MiiversePrior to E3 starting up, Nintendo has done something unusual for them... they've given us more information about the Wii-U before their press conference! Specifically they've gone over the online capabilities of the Wii-U and how social networking works with it.Nintendo’s Miiverse3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Nintendo showcased a video of a guy struggling to beat a Zombie boss. He uses the Wii-U Game Pad to look up other users who have had trouble with it. He even posts a note saying he's stuck. His friend sees the note on his mobile device and calls him, but instead he decides to contact another Wii-U user using the built in camera to communicate with video. He talks to an elderly grandpa who tells him how to beat the Zombie boss and instantly he goes right back into the game and succeeds.
Cheesy though it was, it showcased a number of cool features. The first of course being the fact there will be message boards surrounding specific games which you can communicate on, share screen shots, post questions and answers, etc. The second
Ode to the WiiMy last journal seems to have gone over pretty well. So since the Wii is slowly starting to come to a close before Nintendo's next big console release (The Wii U), I thought it would be fun to talk about games which are for the Wii and which might've been overlooked for one reason or another.Ode to the Wii4 years ago in Personal More Like This
It should be noted that not ALL of these are the most AMAZING and BEST GAMES EVER! But I do think that at least 90% of these games should at least be looked at. If you have a Wii and complain that it doesn't have any games that interest you, I strongly recommend you go through this list. If you see a game you haven't heard about or played, rent it and try it out for yourself. There are a lot of gems which didn't get any press or were generally overlooked because of excessive amounts of "shovel-ware" titles clouding up retail stores.
The general perception of the Wii is that there aren't any good games for it. Prove the naysayers wrong and check these titles out. The best part? Most of these titles
Steam and iTunes Q&ASo for those of you asking about my Steam Account and TF2, I think I need to explain a couple things. First off, on my Mac TF2 is horribly slow. I am not kidding but it took me 10 minutes from launch to my first "training" mission to load. Not only that but the scroll wheel on my mouse doesn't work, which put me at a standstill during the first training mission until I figured out (on my own) that buttons 1, 2, and 3 change weapons. I'm far too clumsy with my half-keyboard to be adept at switching weapons and firing things and surviving a pummeling. I appreciate the fact that TF2 is on Steam for free and that so many people love it. It looks quirky and fun but... with my computer setup... just not gonna happen. Sorry.Steam and iTunes Q&A3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Also about Steam, before you make a recommendation to me please please PLEASE look through your Steam account and see which games have a little Apple logo next to them. If it doesn't have one, I can't play it. Right now the list of compatible Mac related games is pretty m
Hardcore MEH over Wii-U?As I've said before, one of the things I was looking forward to seeing this E3 was how so-called "hardcore" fanboys will find even more ridiculous ways to dismiss anything Nintendo showcases because they're "too mature" to enjoy something all-age friendly.Hardcore MEH over Wii-U?3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Finally Nintendo comes right out and gives pretty much every hardcore gamer exactly what they want, and in return all they get is snarky blog posts, dismissive attitudes, and cries of "foul" if anything casual shows up on the screen. Am I the only one noticing this?
First, hardcore gamers seem to be completely blind when it comes to titles that interest them, instead choosing to bitch and moan about casual games that aren't for their demographic. Listen up, geniuses, if the Kinect and Move haven't opened your eyes up yet, casual gaming is now a viable market whether you like it or not. It's OK to have more than one demographic represented, especially when it's advertising for a brand new console.
Second, the one thing hardcore gamers
