Wynne and Mordin: The Great Science/Magic Debate"Professor Solus. I keep telling you, magic is completely different than your......'science'."
Mordin Solus leans over the alchemical bench, busily mixing various ingredients. His white and red lab coat fluttering in the breeze, his features set in deep concentration. "Silverite, easily fashioned into weapons, possible cure for most known poisons, toxic to creatures called darkspawn.......maybe liquifying it.....no no toxic to ingest."
Glancing over at the elder mage for a split second, he shakes his head, "Magic is simply a different form of science. Said it yourself, magic still wildly unknown."
Wynne's fingers grip her staff more tightly as she struggles to control her frustration with her "guest". Suddenly, a thought strikes her, a wry smile on her lips. "Care to make a little wager Professor?"
"Always found gambling an unnecessary variable. Most humans I've found have an unhealthy obsession with wagering."

Liara Shepard looks at herself in the mirror, the long black dress hugging her curves, a wide-brimmed pointed hat resting on the counter. With the black lipstick and eyeshadow she doesn't recognize the woman looking back at her in the mirror. "I'm not so sure about this Kaycee. I'm not usually one for putting on costumes."
Kaycee's voice sounds from the bedroom, a note of laughter in her tone, "Everyone agreed to dress up this year, and that includes you dear. Besides, I can't wait to see you in the costume I got you."

Liara gives a sigh as she puts the hat on, transforming the demure archeologist into a living breathing witch. As she exits the bathroom, Kaycee gives a low whistle as she begins

Tali glances up to see Liara standing in the doorway with a bemused expression on her face, her hands placed on the bulge at her stomach. Tali's eyes widen "Keelah, Liara! Why didn't you tell me?"
Liara chuckles, "Shepard figured your reaction would be priceless."
Tali shakes her head, "That little........."
Ayrene finally extricates herself from her. "Can we play Aunt Tali?"

Ayrene nods, a big grin plastered on her face. She sees the car that Miranda drove up in. A sleek, black convertible with silver trim rests in the driveway. Miranda buckles Ayrene into the passenger seat, before getting in. A push of a button and the engine roars to life. Miranda looks over at Ayrene, one corner of her mouth turning upwards into a sly smile. "Let's make your mother worry some. Hang on, sweetie."
She floors the gas pedal, peeling out of the driveway, leaving a blacked streak on the surface. The car speeds away like a missile. With the winds blowing through her hair, she can barely make out the squeals of delight from Aya. Glancing out of the corner of her eye, she sees the young asari laughing and waving her arms in the air. Once they are about ten miles away from the Shepard house, she begins to slow down. "So? Eden Prime, 17 years after the destruction of the Reapers:
Ambassador Liara T'Soni-Shepard returned home and started preparing some after-school snacks for her children without even changing out of the traditional pure white with gold trim dress she wore to official functions.
Liara was happy and occasionally caught herself staring out the sliding kitchen doors that opened to the huge porch that over looked the big back yard which ended at the shores of the crystal clear glacial lake. A lake named Lake Shepard, much to her husband's chagrin. On the other side of the lake snow-capped mountains towered over everything, reaching into the clear, azure sky. It was breath-taking.
Her lithe figure moved gracefully around the kitchen as she gathered items and mentally ticked off nutritional values. She loved it when she got home in time to do this, but her duties usually held her

Her final defiant shout was lost as her world blossomed in beautiful, terrifying, all-consuming light and heat. She heard her flesh sizzling and searing and smelled the acrid stench of it even as she inhaled those hungry flames and felt the terrible intensity of the living fire within her breast. The agony crushed her physically and lit every nerve in hyper-sensitive torment as she felt herself picked up and thrown like so much trash across an endless expanse of forever.
It was her end. Again. Her last moments. Again.
A part of her absently recalled those thoughts of despair from before. Since her resurrection, she spent hours each day living in that memory of the woman who should be dead. They haunted her soul shadowing every act in her life with a reminder of impermanence, wrongness, time stolen and the cold touch of death on her heart.

The inside of the mansion was decorated in an earthy, yet elegant theme. A few pieces of art by the acclaimed artist Mira T'Soni-Shepard graced the walls along with pictures of all the girls and friends of the family, and the rest was homey, comfortable, and warm.
Since the children were mostly grown and off on their own, the mansion usually sat near empty save for the owners and a small staff to care for the sprawling complex. The only reasons the Shepards kept it was for when the kids visited on holidays, old friends stopped by, or for occasional diplomatic functions because Liara was the Thessian Ambassador to t
