“YEHAAA! We’re here!” Eve screamed at the top of her lungs as she jumped out of the car.
“Calm down kiddo.” A man had stepped out from the driver’s seat and eased his muscles in the warming afternoon sun. “We still have to drive down to the beach, you know?”
“Aww… but I don’t want to stay in the car anymore…” Eve grumbled.
“It’s not that long anymore, sis. Just a few minutes.” Ramona chuckled to herself. “Although those few minutes are the worst of the whole trip.”
“Nyaa? Why’s that?” Nyan-Chan asked curiously.
“You’ll see soon, sweetie.” Sarah answered while petting her ears.
“Well, it’ll take even longer, the longer you stay out of the car.” A second man said.
“I know, dad. But this spot is just too awesome!” Sarah answered. She took one last look over the dunes b

The early history of the Hurricanes chapter is understandably unclear, with its founding so close to the great heresy, as most records during that time were undergoing purge, recovery, or replacement. But it is clear that the Hurricanes had been founded from the geneseed of the accomplished Imperial Fists chapter, and that they had remained steadfastly loyal to the Imperium since its founding aside from the reported isolated incidents early on in their history while the chapter was still young. Beads of cold sweat rolled down Rainbow Dash's neck. The hot ceiling lights above intensifying the anxiety she felt to such a point that she felt as though she was going to pass out. There she was, standing in the middle of Ponyville's largest store. Her eyes were wide, staring at the newest piece of fan-merchandise being sold.
No, it wasn't anything to do with the Wonderbolts.
It was a limited-time offer Daring Do wallet. Rainbow Dash had to keep her mouth shut to prevent drooling. The wallet was grey and had adventurer's face printed on the front, grinning competitively at some invisible foe. She was a force to be reckoned with, even as just a picture. Hilariously, based on how she looked out of the wallet, Rainbow Dash felt like she was the foe- her hero's ruby eyes piercing into her own like arrows in bows, primed to fire.
Overall, it was beyond awesome, much better t

For Izumi's sake, they were all positioned in a circle by the shoreline. While tensions had declined, a slight sense of stress still settled over the whole group, with a few exceptions.
Desi -who wasn't one of the exceptions- grumbled half of a reply and looked away, but Bell, who was much less bitter over her party's defeat, spoke in her place. "Then you're finally learning how this world works," she stated, arms crossed, "It's good that you threatened first and reasoned later. If you hadn't, your little fisherfriend might be much worse off than being a few flares shorter."
A slight smile appeared on the brunette dridder's lips. "Somehow I doubt that," she replied, gazing fondly at Vern. While he looked like an average man getting on in years, he was clearly much more.
Ceri had always looked up to him -so to speak- as a mentor, and having seen him hold off three giants on his own was enough t

The major began to pace along the line of marines. "Now, as you know, the last attack on our position left us with no battle tanks, armored walking tanks, ranged support tanks, or tanks of fuel. Furthermore, with no means to radio for air support, we've no supply tanks, tanks of ammo, additional replacement tanks, food tanks, or tanks of ale! That's unacceptable! Am I right?"

Three long weeks of learning each other's alphabet and sentence structure were starting to pay off. The walls were covered in various colors of paint with their exchange, half of it was Siyuu's 'small' and simple strokes to display what turned out to be a massive alphabet of some seventy or more characters. They seemed to be comparable to English print, but far more specific in their phonetic representation.
One of the first things he learned was that her name wasn't pronounced 'Sah-yoo' but more like 'Sye-yoo'. Derrik had a hard time keeping track of most of the Alarian letters, so he made a piece of paper that he used to compare them to English sounds. Likewise, Siyuu seemed to have a problem figur

After counting the grains of sand on the ground three times, memorizing the exact texture of the entire wall of rock encircling her area and mastering every technique her species could perform without another being, she was just about bored enough to dig to Felarya's core and destroy whatever was making everyone immortal.
Even she was boring now. Sure, she could split into multiple bodies, but that didn't make her less alone, just able to form a pyramid and various othe geometric shapes.
Nobody knew or cared about the cave behind her. Déméchrelle hadn't been heard from in practically forever, she had been here so long she had forgotten her own name, and worst of all, she couldn't do anything more than wander about half of the cave's first floor thanks to being tethered in

There was her channel of communication to other dryads, of course, but they were all...dryads. They talked about what they ate, what they could eat, and occasionally how nice the weather was. Boooooring! At least there was talk of a somewhat interesting group. Nobody had ever seen a human outmatch a harpy before, especially not to save a fairy.
Sometimes passing humans would talk about something they called "T.V", with all of these exciting, but vastly improbable little stories on it. Ceres wondered if that's what it was like to watch this group. Eagerly waiting for the next adventure...

In the Dead of NightSo you say you don't believe in ghosts? Well then, just stay the night in our little town. I promise you by the time morning arrives you'll have a new view on the existence of life after death. Everyone in this town has heard it at the stroke of midnight every night for who knows how long. It starts with the sound of hooves beating on the ground followed by the rumbling of wagon wheels. The sound gets louder and louder until it reaches the old cemetery on the hill, then the sound of the gates screeching open echoes through the night. Silence falls once again, but moments later, the sound weeping and prayers can be heard. What I'm telling you is the old graveyard is haunted. You may be skeptical, but as sure as I stand before you, it is. Those poor souls are stuck between life and death for reasons we may never know. She couldn't help but grin in amusement at the feeble threats.
"You know, something makes me doubt that very strongly."
With a good natured chuckle, she tilted her head back and opened her mouth wide, dropping him between her lips. Her tongue wrapped around the peculiarly lumpy body and pulled him towards the back of her throat.

Working notes: Gender and Eyes
I do believe I've finally found a way to tell males from females though until I can verify the genders in a timely manner it's just a hypothesis seeing as they lack external genitals and are androgynous to the untrained eye. If I am correct and the individuals I have marked with harmless dye behave in the manner I have noted for genders then I can proudly proclaim myself as a growing expert. The key differences are subtle and are difficult at even medium to close range to spot. The average miner would be more interested in running from the Enderman he just angered than in knowing if a male or female was chasing one but regardless the information must be shared.
It is all in body length ratio; males are slightly taller and longer in the leg than the females and have longer claws. Eye color aside though there are some definable traits that distinguish the two apart if you can get clos
