SSBB White Peach Dress - How it was madeSSBB White Peach Dress - How it was made2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
This journal explains how I made this dress on a tight, college student budget! I originally wrote this up for :icondelirix:. I thought it might be nice if I made it into a journal so maybe more Peach fans that want to cosplay could see it. This was only my fourth "official" cosplay ever, so I don't think that it takes too much talent to make - just lots and lots of time! I hand sew all my cosplays, so you might have to adjust parts if you're using a sewing machine.
~ History ~
This costume is biased on Princess Peach's alternative white dress costume in the game Super Smash Brother's Brawl. This dress in Brawl was heavily influenced by the Super Mario Adventures comic and Paper Mario 3, in both of which Peach is put into a wedding dress and is almost forced to marry Bowser. Tell us what defines you as a person.
I'm a dreamer. This caused me a bit of trouble growing up – I had my head in the clouds and a very difficult time concentrating on schoolwork (doodling was occurring as well). I always had a penchant for all things 'fantasy'. Fairy tales, ghost stories, sci-fi, mythology and cartoons helped shape me. I'm pretty
A Moment of SilenceA Nintendo spokesman said the company was in mourning over the "loss of the former Nintendo president Mr Hiroshi Yamauchi, who sadly passed away."A Moment of Silence1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Yamauchi took over the family company, founded by his grandfather in 1889 as a maker of playing cards, after his grandfather suffered a stroke. Over his 53 year reign, the college dropout transformed Nintendo into a global video game industry powerhouse.
Thanks for all the memories Mr Yamauchi.
RIP Hiroshi Yamauchi: November 7, 1927 - September 19, 2013
~Mario Kart Wii~Hey guys!~Mario Kart Wii~1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So the other day my friend, :iconCrossedFates: and I were playing Mario Kart Wii. It was a lot of fun - and then I wondered, perhaps some of you may have this game as well?
If any of you have Mario Kart Wii and would like to play with us, please note me your code and we can register each other. If you're not sure how to do this, here's how it goes:
Go to your Profile
Click on the preferred player number (one or two) under the 'Nintendo WFC' box.
Wait until you're connected (you need internet access to do this)
Go to 'Friends'
Click on 'Register a friend'
Enter in your friend's code (both of you need to register, otherwise you won't be able to play)
Afterwards, you can either set up a room or wait until one of your friends opens a room. Then you can race!
I also have Mario Kart for the 3DS, though I don't play that as often. However, if you have Mario Kart 3DS, be

What's Hot (Beta): Trending Artwork on deviantARTArt on the RiseWhat's Hot (Beta): Trending Artwork on deviantART1 year ago in DeviantART Announcements More Like This
DeviantART is a bustling and active community, and with the high volume of artwork submitted on any given day, it can be easy to miss something. In fact, it's common for artwork to go viral across the Web or get a spike of traffic days, months, or even years after it was originally submitted.
Our new “What’s Hot” browse mode surfaces artwork that’s receiving a recent increase in exposure, regardless of when it was submitted.
A New Way To Surface Artwork
We often see artwork gain a lot of attention across the Web (after being shared on blogs, social sites, etc.), but by the time this recognition occurs, our search engines don't consider it when displaying recently "Popular" deviations. The new "What’s Hot" mode is built to celebrate these surges of exposure.
What's Hot vs. Popular
The content of the “What’s Hot” page uses an algorithm that reflects what artwork has recently garnered attention, regardless of when it was subm

Skyrim Mod ListJust in case anyone is interested at all, this is a list of the current mods I have running. A lot of these are simple immersion mods, added to enhance effects and make the world more realistic.Skyrim Mod List9 months ago in Personal More Like This
DLC I have Installed
Dragonborn - Don’t really care for this one so far. Just hasn’t peaked my interest yet.
Dawnguard - I’m REALLY enjoying this one, although as you’ll see it’s necessitated that I add some mods to help keep it from breaking my game.
Hearthfires - I enjoyed this one too. Very relaxing and fun to hunt the world for resources to build your own homes, marry, and adopt children.
Birds - Adds extra birds flying around the world.
Enhanced Wetness and Puddles - This is a work in progress mod that makes puddles appear in towns when it’s raining. They’ll grow to a specific size then shrink to nothing when the rain stops. Just giving the world a little bit more realism. Unfortunately it’

Drawing, writing, improvementIt seems that my presentiment for this year, 2012 was true.Drawing, writing, improvement2 years ago in Personal More Like This
First days of January I though 2012 would be a special year for me. Nothing to do with catastrophic bullshits. I remember I though: 'I fell strongly this year will bring something special and beautiful for me, I don't think it will be something big, but I fell it will be beautiful!'
Well, I'm growing more confident toward my drawings, more confident toward my stories and with new will to realize my old dreams.
Confidence doesn't means i am satisfied with my drawings. I want to draw better, like a real comic artist. And better and better. But I left the ball and chain behind. The ball and chain that is called 'fear' and low self-esteem that doesn't help an artist to improve. I was really stupid to think that having low self esteem was the best way to improve and to not fall into arrogance. I still hate arrogance, but there is a difference between having self-confidence and being arrogant.
I discovered I still have the creativit

I'm a mathematician, and I write algorithms for dA.
I'm pretty good at making beer. Beer has all kinds of vitamins and minerals, is a pleasure to make (it's a group activity, usually), but mostly, it's just good for the soul to have an ale at the end of the day. If you're used to drinking light beer, or just don't like beer at all, try a Flanders red ale. It's a Flemish ale, and is totally different from anything else on the planet...at a minimum, you'll have tasted something few others have.
I'm also a fan of classical music. If you haven't ever listened to classical music, go listen to Beethoven's Waldstein sonata. It doesn't come at you all at once like modern pop music, but gets into you bit by bit. It's no less engaging that more modern music, but it is a commitment, to be sure.
Original stories and favourite charactersIt's your favourite OC the protagonist of your story?Original stories and favourite characters2 years ago in Personal More Like This
In my case I don't like to have my favourite character as protagonist, because when I had a favourite character from a series i loved, he was never the protagonist. He was always or the antagonist or a secondary character. For this, when I write my stories, I like to have my favourite characters as secondary characters.
ABOUT DRAWINGS - I'm sorry I haven't post new drawing lately, but I'm more in the mood of praticing and studying anatomy (both men and women body) . I also need to pratice more on drawing my characters
How do you know when you're a 'good' artist? Is it pageviews? favorites? being employed in the visual arts industry somewhere? sales? being able to paint something that looks like a photo? being able to paint or draw things exactly the way you visualised them? How do you know when you're a 'good' artist?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
That last is probably the closest to my idea of the artist i want to be. And i'm pretty much getting there, because luckily i'm a fantasy artist & i don't have to worry about the things, places or people i paint looking EXACTLY like they do in real life. I figure that's what cameras were invented for! And i never understood why somebody would spend 20-50 or more hours painting something that looks like a photo!
But wouldn't it be nice to know that I CAN do it if i wanted to? Especially likenesses: they're really hard! I see wonderful artists such as JW-Jeong who does amazing photorealistic work (as well as fantastical thought-provoking stuff, thankfully!) and i go & do something silly. I compare myself to them! And i can see by the pageviews & faves that it's not just
