You were sitting on the park bench, staring at the note you wrote for Sadik. Sighing, you stuck the note in your book and began to read, or at least tried to. You wished you could give the note to him, but you were far to embarassed. What if he didn't like you back? You continued to stare at the pages of your book.
"Hey! _____!" A familiar voice broke you from your thoughts. You looked up and smiled at Sadik.
"Hello Sadik," You said to him. He was wearing his mask as usually and that cloak he hardly every took off.
"Haha. What are you doing?" he asked.
"Reading," you replied as you closed your book. "What brings you here?"
"Oh I was checking the sights and I happen to run into you," he replied as he sat beside you. "What book are you reading?"
"Oh, I'm reading (insert favorite book title here)."
"Sounds cool. May I see it?"
"Sure," you said, handing the book to him. He flipped through the pages and the note you wrote to him fell out.
"What's this?" he asked as he picked it up. "Oh...?

Don't you wish you could find that perfect girl
Don't you wish you could find that girl that's as nerdy as you
Who loves you for who you are
Who says you look beautiful even though you wearing the most ridiculous outfit
Don't you wish you could have that perfect girl
Don't you wish you could spend your life with her forever
Don't you wish you could forever stay in her arms knowing you are safe
Don't you wish that girl would never leave you
But your scared to love again
You can't bare to get your heart broken again
Even though you say our okay, you know deep inside your not
You want to be loved again by that one special girl who will never break your heart
That special girl who could kiss you all day
That special girl who will say I love you no matter what happens
That special girl who will cuddle with you when your crying your eyes out
That special girl who will hold you close
I want a girl like that
I want a girl who will support me and give me advice
I want a girl who will truly love

Wings Of Light
Upon me is the last dawn
Faded away has the last dusk
I leave behind all of the rights and wrongs
I don't deserve an afterlife that is also rough
Mesmerized in deep suspense
As I await the final arrival
My tears become so intense
These last moments of hope are vital
Allow me to break away
Accept the toll of my undying faith
I was careless as I fell
Mocking life itself
Every secret I held
Defined a broken side of myself
An inner slaughter I could not defend
A one-sided war that I could not fight against
My downfall is what I didn't want to prevent
I always lusted after the idea of my final descent
Because I knew that in the end I would ascend
All I can really do is live this divided life as best as I can
I realized that the only thing in perfection is being broken
And the only way to get rid of that is to wipe out my existence
Shine down and shine true
I will no longer be powerless
You don't know how long I've been waiting for you
I'll do as you asked - POEMAnd you told me that i wouldn't see my father for a weekI'll do as you asked - POEM1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
Though that week turned into years
You held my arm and told me to stay strong
And of course i'd do as you asked,
I'll stay strong for you
Even with pangs of missing family
And you bragged to your friends
About how amazing i am
About how well i did in school
With all the pressures of life
I found no harm in that
Until you came to me and said
They're looking at you
Waiting for you to slip up
Hold on and stay strong
And of course i'll do as you asked,
I'll stay strong for you
Even as they speak behind our backs
And you told me that your dream was to be a doctor
And that i should be one too
And it sounded like fun to me
So of course i'll do as you asked,
I'll be a doctor for you
But then you told me that music was of the devil
That i should no longer listen to it
So I tried to listen to you,
But it is hard to tear this part away from me
But i'll do so someday
I'll do as you asked

I know it hurts for I've felt your pain
You want to give up
and let the enemies erase you
So I'm telling you now
That your life isn't over
There's still a chance to find happiness
and to have a smile
There's many who feel the same as you do
and I'm sure you know that is true
But did you know that I'm one of those people
who wishes they'd disappear?
I plaster a smile on my face around you
and everyone else
But inside it's cold and dark
and taken over by misery
So I'm telling you now
that all my words are true
I want to be the one
you run to when you're scared
I want to be the shoulder to cry on
when your broken down and alone
I'm always there for you with arms opened wide
please don't over look me now
I'll gladly push all my pain far away
if it would help you recover
And if all you need is a hug
then I'll hug you tight and not say a word
All I'm saying is you're not alone
I'm right here for you whenever you need me
I'm your friend

Something wasn't right about her.
I narrowed my eyes at the girl at the door. "What's your name?" I pretended to be happy at the prospect of a new neighbor. The girl smiled happily, swinging back and forth. She appeared to be pretty energetic.
"My name is Cassie, nice to meet you." She put her hand out with a smile on her face. I hesitantly reached out, my hand clammy and shaky. No doubt I was in shock right now. My brother was gone and now I was next. Of course I was in shock. After what seemed like minutes, I grabbed her hand and shook it. I took my hand away, my breath was jittery.
"What's wrong?" Cassie asked.
"Nothing. Family issues. Don't worry about it." I said. "I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Alright! Bye!" Cassie said as I shut the door.
I was numb. I didn't know what to do right now. Who was that girl? Why didn't she feel right when she was around? What was it? Paranoia was taking over my mind. I scratched the back of my head, sighing. I had to calm down. I sat down o

He stands before the adoring crowd,
Basking in their cheers and standing ovation.
But he has already been dishonoured -
By means of his perverse innovation.
For none could know of the dark secret;
About the art that he claims to be his own.
It is naught but an illusion, smoke and mirrors -
A theft for which he must atone...
But this disgusting creature, this worthless abhuman;
So desperate for the glory which he sees upon the stage!
Will quietly don the skin of another;
An urge he must assuage...
Biting his nails, a cracked smile upon his lips, he whispers:
"No one will know, no one will find it and I am great..."

I still remember singing in my room when I was six, and having my mother come down the hall and slam the door so hard that the windows shook.
Her nails hurt when she scraped the tears off my face. "It doesn't matter what you want," she'd always tell me.
Like, when that drunk driver swerved and hit her car I didn't want her to leave me, and it didn't matter.
Once on vacation I bought a pair of fuzzy leather heels for two hundred dollars, and when I wore them to dinner, I found out that
1. "Suede" is a fancy word for "fuzzy leather."
And 2. Good things don't last: That night my cousin told me that she thought 135 pounds was a little too big for five foot eight. So I tore my tights up to the thigh and threw those new suede heels in the garbage.
It felt good later, to know that they couldn't hate me more than I hate myself.
My six-word story from ninth grade reads, "If I don't laugh, I'll cry."
