I took the sketch that started it all with :icontransformer-high: and inked and colored it in Photoshop CS5 using a Wacom Intuos 3 Tablet.

Concept for a series of images called "Transformer High School" inspired by the rantings of Vangelus' podcast: WTF@TFW.

I think that Optimus would make for a pretty cool home room teacher. Here, he's a bit laid back but still quite studious. I went with "Pax" for the simple reason that "Mr. Prime" doesn't work so well if there might be Sentinel Prime or others running around lol

In my ongoing series of characters from Transformers Prime re-imagined as faculty for a High school (and stuff I draw during my train ride to and from work), I had a hard time deciding where to put Knockout.

I thought about making him the school nurse since he's a medic but that really doesn't suit his personality. In the end I went with Home Ec / Fashion Design. Note the ascot XD

I see him acting very much like the host of Project Runway.

I've finished up the design work for the first character set to go w/ my new minifigure line "Action Formers". This set is a visual homage to Tailgate from IDW's More Than Meets the Eye comic series.

Once I've tested the parts you'll be able to get them from my Shapeways shop: [link]

The name is, of course, changed for copyright reasons. The minifigure is based on an articulated protoskeleton that you attach armor parts to. The figure ends up being about 2" tall but doesn't transform so it's more of an Action Master in that regard but is more posable.

Part of my ongoing series of characters from Transformers Prime re-imagined as faculty for a High school (and stuff I draw during my train ride to and from work). I imagine the Vehicons as campus security armed with walkie talkies! :iconthelastaniadnian: suggested they be used as the caffeteria workers and I like that idea so much I may need to redraw this :XD:

While Ratchet seems like an obvious choice for School Nurse, I thought he might be better suited to that of the Biology Teacher. ...well... Cybertronian Biology at any rate.

Did this on my train ride in this morning. I actually got halfway through a second sketch so I must be leveling up :D

I'll finish that one up on the way home and who knows, maybe you'll get 2 more out of me tonight instead of just the one lol

At first I was thinking that I would use Bulkhead for the shop teacher.. but then I remembered that Breakdown comes equipped with a HAMMER! lol

This was done on my train ride home from work today. About an hour while bumping around. All things considered I think it came out rather well :)

In my ongoing series of characters from Transformers Prime re-imagined as faculty for a High school (and stuff I draw during my train ride to and from work), I think that Soundwave would be perfect for the school librarian... think about it, he's all about collecting and analyzing data.. and he's always quiet! haha

Given the over whelming responses I've been getting based on this series of sketches it's gotten me thinking that there might be an audience interested in Role Playing in my little High School... I figure that all of the staff would be established "official" characters of both factions (not at war but true to their characters/personalities) and all of the students would be Original Characters. It's tailor made for RPing :D lol

In my ongoing series of characters from Transformers Prime re-imagined as faculty for a High school (and stuff I draw during my train ride to and from work), I thought that Dreadwing's skills in bomb making would make him a shoe-in for a Chemistry teacher.

I probably should have put big ol' safety goggles on him.. oh well.

Oh, and he has a doctorate :D

This is the second character set to go w/ my new minifigure line "Action Formers". This set is a visual homage to Pipes from IDW's More Than Meets the Eye comic series.

Once I've tested the parts you'll be able to get them from my Shapeways shop and I'll update this listing with a link.
