My DarknessMy Darkness2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
My world was small.
I was alone.
No one to call my own.
My heart has been broken.
It has been destroyed.
I felt used, abused, and incomplete.
I had no one.
But in my lonely, painful world of light,
which was too bright,
A darkness fell.
It brought the light down and I liked it.
I sought out the source.
A boy lonely as me.
He felt my pain.
He told me I brought light to him.
I said he brought darkness to me.
We knew it was meant to be.
And now I sit upon a throne of light, lonely no longer.
No more pain.
I have you, my king of darkness, my love.
You make me complete.

That morning, I got up very early and took a quick shower to start fresh the day.
As usual, I went to the children's room to wake them up and then headed to the kitchen to make some breakfast.
After the breakfast, I put the dishes in the sink and went upstairs to help the children to get ready for school. Denzel was old enough to prepare himself for school, so I helped Marlene instead.
After I said goodbye to the children, I headed back inside to start to do the housework.
It was a lovely day in Seventh Heaven and for some reason I was in a very good mood, so I took the day off and went to make a few errands before opening the bar.
It was almost time to open the bar, so I speeded up on Fenrir to get there on time. I was so eager to see their faces when they realized that I was back. I specially wanted to surprise Tifa, but I knew I had to be cautious, so I stopped a few blocks away and pushed Fenrir all the way to the bar.

1 I Blow Up the Ice Cream Woman
I took a deep breath and pulled down the door handle. Maybe this year would be different, maybe I wouldn't be expelled for the seventh time in eight years; maybe I could break a personal record. Not likely, but maybe. Never really fitting in didn't help the fact, but this year I wouldn't need friends; my step-dad had said if you make it past sixth and seventh then maybe life will be easy. I think he meant grades in school, but he never really specified.
I shoved open the door; my first look at the classroom ruining my hopes for all of those maybes.
I hoped I had walked into the wrong classroom, maybe it was a sixth grade room, because it looked more like a kindergarten classroom. Picture-books lined the shelves and pretty little pastel flower cutouts grew from the window sill. The desks made little clusters on the rainbow carpet floor. It looked like a unicorn had puked up on the place. Seriously, there was even a toy bin. I was just about to t

Sion glowed even in darkness.
It wasn't about the snowy white hair or the blazing crimson eyes that were now hidden under his eyelids as he slept. During daytime, every time he stepped out of the shadows, sunlight seemed to embrace him with an affectionate fondness. As if it loved him. Even at night, when there was no sun or even without the luster of the moon bathing the wasteland with its rays, Sion always seemed to glow against the pitch-black background. Nezumi could observe this, but he could not explain it. It was just one of the things that was to remain inexplicable and a mystery as long as he lived.
Still, Nezumi couldn't help but wonder as he watched him sleep next to him and as he felt the heat radiating from his limp body from under the blanket. How could he look so peaceful? How could he still glow even as he slept? Nezumi was used to watching him sleep like this, but it baffled him each time. Especially at times like this when he felt like he could give away

Chapter 4: P-Prepare to die Eggbear!
"Yuri..?" Estelle asked, her voice faltering along with her confidence. He paused in his trek, glancing back at her curiously. They were probably about halfway through the cursed woods (a detour suggested by a guild member they met in Deidon Hold), and had hopefully made a decent dent in their journey to Halure. "That girl," She continued, referring to Lithiri, who was breathing steadily in her sleep on Sona's back. ", who is she? Do you two know each other?"
"Yeah." He began. "She's a friend I met a few years ago. We ended up in the same jail cell back at the castle."
"So, she'll be joining us? Is she helping you look for the blastia?"
"You got the right idea."
"I see..." Estelle couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. She'd been around this girl for almost two days now and she still didn't know her name... Asking Yuri just seemed a little strange and she really didn't want to do that. Of course if she'd had the chance she would have properly

I know your way, Love
Running the heartbeat
The song of blood
One final time
Before the offering to life
Fight for it
Blood spilt in desperation
Moments I hold you
Licking our wounds like wolves
Heated breath upon breath
As we again surrender to life
Sanctuary and enemy
The blaze of your eyes
The mother of the land
The father of the hunt
Lover and traitor
Our house is the greenness of spring
The pleasure of summer
Gifts of autumn
The cold dead of winter
And in me
All paths lead to you

and rustles in a whispered ecstasy as she shivers in the forest's breath.
She stands and is loved by the light as it kisses her leaves.
All around her, grass and shadows sway in time
to her unspoken, unsung but not unheard melodies.
Silence broken she has spoken in a first-cry melody.
Crackling, curling branches part and bare a tiny face to the sun.
That soft little face that cries to the air the start of a time, a life-time.
With a tiny call that frightens away the placid butterflies,
gentle fingers push away the last of a sheltering womb of leaves
and the old, musty forest shares its breath.
The tree-daughter is on her feet almost before she catches her breath
and when she does she fills the forest with much sweeter melodies.
Her eyes are sunflowers, her hair is morning mist as it rests upon the leaves.
She rests upon a branch a

She thought of California and its troubles with fire. When she was five she had to be taken out of the class whenever the subject of fire safety came up. Even learning how to prepare for fire terrified her; it meant acknowledging everything she loved could burn away. She got more of a grip as she grew older, but...
Well, there was a reason she never picked up smoking, and it wasn't fear of lung cancer.
The thunder was getting closer. She could hear the pounding of rain like frantic footsteps on the roof. She opened an eye, peered through the inky bedroom to the city-lit night outside her window.

A cool summer day, brisk July evening. Everyone was giddy and excited for the upcoming Fourth of July Firework show. Even with the war still raging on, most of the men gone and the women hard at work, there were a few that were still there helping out best at home. But months ago before summer had even begun, there was a boy named Steven, a what used to be lanky, small blonde who had changed over the course of rigorous training and some experimental drugs that were runned by the highest of the high. At the time it was the dawn of a era known as Tony Stark's time to shin, though Steve and the infamous Stark had little to no contact, he did see him working along side Abraham Erskine, the German doctor who had worked somewhat with the previous Stark before his untimely death. Steve met that man only once, and had liked him but sad as it was he had been taken from the world too soon so his son stepped in. A sophisticated looking man from the clothing he wore, but from his manners- or there
