What is a magical kitchen like? A cauldron, a broom, an owl. But Lily and James Potter's kitchen has a magic of different kind as well for as Prof. Dumbledore always said: there is the magic of love. ...Magic of laughter, too, if you live with James. Sneak a peek at the scene from those days that Harry could not remember yet certainly had in the very beginning.
A drawing I did earlier in the year of Minerva Mcgonagall from Harry Potter. If you look closely, you can see that the entire drawing is actually made up from words. Sure, they got a bit messy at some points, but they're all words. For all who ask, I worked on it for 8ish weeks, around 2.5 hours each week.
I really hope you like this drawing, full view is recommended. Thanks!
Also, here are some photos of the process of drawing this: [link]
-- Edit: HOLY MOTHER OF HEDWIGS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE DD! I never expected this much feedback from people, so thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Edit 2: The words I used to draw this were "Minerva, Mcgonagall, witch."
Another Harry Potter entry! This was quite a bit of fun to do. In some ways he looks kinda cuddly, but when you reach out to pet him you realize his fur's all rough and matted (if you didn't get your hand bitten off first). This wasn't made to be an exact replica, because I made it entirely out of materials I already had lying around. Hopefully it inspires the recipient of the gift to fill its pages with wonder! If you'd like to see how it was constructed, I wrote a blog entry about it here: [link]
The Monster Book of Monsters is from the Harry Potter universe, as seen in "The Prisoner of Azkaban".
EDIT: No way! My first Daily Deviation??!!! :'D Thank you so much! I promise to continue working hard on all my artwork for everyone to enjoy!!
Ok, I decided to group them all because it would have been boring for you to see each of them since I made LOTS of stuff. They're all entirely polymer clay made. From left to right: The Monster book of monsters, wich I had already uploaded months ago is the one I'm not actually in love with because of my debatable skills back then. However it had to be part of the collection, so I added it anyway.
The Firebolt: I made it months ago as well, never uploaded because I wanted time to take nice pictures. Never had the time, then I realized I wasn't in love with it and it ended up lying on my table in a state of complete abandonment. Added for the same reason as before.
New stuff. This is what I can do with my current skills:
Buckbeak's feather: I love making feathers, and thought this would have been perfect to add some touch to the movie atmosphere. Used some watercolours to shade it.
Azkaban Prisoner Board: this is actually Sirius Black's. I looked it up, paid attention to each inscription -wich are made of tiny stripes of clay as well- and tried to reproduce it with maximum attention. My personal touches: Used watercolours to make the wood look rotten and mossy, and I thought that a spider and a cobweb would have been cool. Oh, and they're both clay made.
The Grim Teacup: Yeah, I couldn't resist. It's the smallest teacup I've ever made - actually the only teacup I've ever made- and the fact it's small made it even harder to get it right. I used tiny balls of clay to shape the Grim until it dind't actually look like a dog. I'm going to upload a picture with its actual size.
Marauder's Map: I had seen them before turned into pendants, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone being crazy enough not to print/ draw the whole map, but to use clay for absolutely EVERYTHING. ok, I know it's totally useless - well , not really, because I like the touch of raised inscriptions and lines- but, as before, I wanted to prove myself with something really small and precise. I believe my sight is not as good as before, but it's never been awesome so who cares xD
Other Random Quill Nobody Cares About: Quill-making is fun. I believe I got a bit inspired by the one you see on Pottermore, though.
Thanks for your time if you read all of this. I've made plenty of other stuff, I'm gonna upload them in groups like I did here.
And for the already uploaded stuff have a look at my gallery!
No witch or wizard attending Hogwarts should be without their very own copy of Hogwarts a History! This blank book measures 5x8 and has 240 pages, and is ideal making all your notes about your stay at Hogwarts.
This book is mentioned thru out the Harry Potter series and helped discover the Chamber of Secrets. This book would make a great addition to any Harry Potter fans collection. Also works great for Cosplays and Larps!
