Lower Antelope Canyon
Page, AZ

Depending on the light, the colors can be anything from bland to very vibrant.

The canyon is very narrow, so it's not for the claustrophobic. I found it mesmerizingly beautiful.

sunset at corecreek park, in pennsylvania after a storm on 5-14-10

another heart in nature makes an appearance here. the shape wasnt edited, thats how i saw it.

i find the sighting strange because i saw this almost a week prior

this is actually a panoramic shot, as i took a few vertical images and stitched them together.

edit: wow my first DD. its an awesome feeling and was definitely something nice to wake up to. I've come a long way since this image and I couldn't have done it without the support I get from all of you. Thanks suggesting the DD, and thanks for making it happen. it means so much!

We're having a pretty shitty spring. It had just stopped raining before I took this photo. Slowly, but inevitably, the weather is improving.

The interesting thing here is that the sun is still pretty high above the horizon - this is around 25 minutes before sunset.

Location: North arm of the Fraser River, Richmond, Beautiful British Columbia.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm @ ISO 200 f/8.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.0 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW exposures.
Download: Up to 2560x1600, 2560x1440, and 1600x1200.

This past summer was packed with storms and rainbows, this particular storm I would have to say was the most beautiful from start to finish. Electricity was flowing across the sky ever few seconds and the thunder so loud you swear you had just been hit, but it was so pretty that no one wanted to take cover. Half the town was lined up on the road taking photos of this rainbow. In the opposite direction the sky was as gold as gold can be. If it weren't so loud from thunder, I would have thought that I had died and gone to heaven. I will up load a couple more from the Sunset of the Golden Rainbow...looking in the opposite direction.

For a peak at what it looked like in the opposite direction see:

Thanks for all the great comments! It was beautiful! I'd like to take the all credit...but I can't. It was all natural light show beyond compare EVERYTHING TURNED GOLD and then the rainbow appeared it was such a strange weather phenomena. I was just lucky enough to be at the right place, have a good camera and know how to take a good picture AND not get hit by lightening.
