My thoughts on gender roles and their reversal I would love for women to be able to take more charge in the world and not be stigmatized for it. Let's see female presidents, more female body builders, women paying for dates more often, or even initiating relationships (including sex) more (I like the idea of women on top). If we are talking about more equality, then men should less stigmatized or penalized over divorce cases, alimony, child custody and such.My thoughts on gender roles and their reversal4 months ago in Personal More Like This
Also, if things ever became physical in a relationship ( though I certainly hope not) men should be able to fight back against being smacked or assaulted by women, and not face unfair or biased scrutiny. Granted, I am a pacifist, so I don't think I would hit a woman even if given the chance, I would just like there to be less bias, for both men AND women. As the saying goes, men and women are 2 halves of the same coin. We need each other, so lets make a difference in the world. Lets make a better future.

Who says that video games warp the minds of kids? I grew up playing video games, and I turned out OK. That being said, there's a few things from the world of video games that I find myself wishing worked in real life. I've compiled a list of those cliches from video games that would make life so much more awesome. So let us begin.
Wouldn't you just love checkpoints? About to ask a girl out for the first time? Ready to skydive at 20 thousand feet? Had enough with your job and feeling like telling your boss where to shove it? Why not hit up a quick save point first, just in case things don't go according to plan? That way, you can always reload if you need to. Saving often even allows you to explore multiple paths before choosing the one with the best outcome. In other words, punching your boss in the face may not be the right way to go, but with a save point, you could try it out anyway!

Play Expo 2012 Photo JournalSo, it's been a whole year already! Around this time last year I was at at Replay Expo (now Play Expo), my first games expo with ~Kaivallone with my first handmade Link costume, so I was really pleased to have been able to wear the improved version for this event.Play Expo 2012 Photo Journal1 year ago in Personal More Like This
This time I went with Kai again, as well as Matthew who was kind enough to put us up at his house for the weekend. We had just as much fun there as we did at the expo!
I'm still beaming from the weekend, it's been an unforgettable and extraordinary couple of days and it was just what I needed!
Play remains my favourite expo and it makes me rather sad that we don't have more events like this! I'd certainly like to see quite a few people and partners more often than once a year, but ah well!
With it being a local con a lot of my friends were there, and I was lucky enough to run into a number of the cosplayers from last year's Replay, so it was great being re-united with and spending some time with everyone that I haven't see
So I came out of the closet to my parents. It went..... better than expected. Homosexuality is something my dad with never fully understand or agree with but he said he will always love and accept me then gave me a big hug, which alleviated a lot of my worry. My step mom greeted me with a hug and loving support, both admitted that they had their suspicions. So I came out of the closet to my parents.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Although I kinda wish they would have told me that they knew. Ya know, so they could have come out for me, like maybe write in ketchup "We know you're gay." and handed it to me on my dinner plate or something.

First week of college~ As some of you will know, I started college on monday. First day was actually quite good! I managed to make a friend, but only because he chose to sit next to me, and at the time I was the only student in the room SO STARTED CONVERSATION WITH A STRANGER WHICH I NEVER DO. Anyway his name is Luke and he's in my chemistry, geography and geology classes. We didn't do much in our induction lessons because they were quite short and we didn't really need to do anything.First week of college~1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Second day was boring because we just got shown how to use the computer facilities, tutorial and we had to do a test on the computer. But I found myself a group of friends! Me, Luke, Dominic, Shannon, Amelia, Dan (LIUTENNANT DAAAAAYUN) and another Dominic. Wednesday I only had to be in at 11, so I had time to attempt breakfast and plan my bus journey better, and only for one hour because geology doesn't start till next week (I only have 2 lessons a day). Yesterday I only had to be in at 11 - I got th

Some Advice to Mr. CullenThere is no doubt that Dave Cullen is a good author, and I DO actually respect him, but I believe many of his claims are extremely far-fetched and baised, I've only been researching Columbine for a year, so correct me if I'm wrong, but there was no evidence Eric attempted to get intimate with Brenda Parker or even knew her. She did admit she lied after the book was published. Now, Lifetime wants to make a mini series surrounding his book, and rage by both Columbine Historians and common people alike. In my personal opinion this is not for honor but for profit, and that many of the conclusions he made were for shock value. I'm not saying Eric and Dylan didn't have their faults, but Cullen makes them out to be two popular kids with no problems who were never bullied, even when they say themselves in their videos that they were. Sorry Cullen, but if you do this, you are going to get a lot more 'haters' than you already had. My advice to you, do NOT sign that contract if you do not want toSome Advice to Mr. Cullen1 year ago in Personal More Like This

Friends in NeedI usually don't venture away from deviant art related posts in my journal entries, but this is for a cause that impacts the lives of two dear friends of mine and their three children. I have known them for a while and have done a few photoshoots with them. They are two of the nicest people I have ever met. Even if you cannot donate, please pass this around and try to get the word out.Friends in Need1 year ago in Personal More Like This
My friend, Brandon, was involved in a kitchen fire and sustained 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his face and arms in the process of putting the fire out. The very next day (which also happened to be their wedding anniversary), his wife, Jacquetta, gave birth to beautiful twins. They were in 2 different hospitals and he missed the birth of his children.
He went into the hospital on June 17th and underwent skin graft surgeries and just got out this past Monday. Again, even if you are unable to donate any money, please pass this around. Well wishes also mean a lot in a time like this. Thanks so much

I know around....27 maybe? Fun time on Wikipedia can bring many things, that's all I'm saying. And I found out about Columbine by a Rachel's Challenge assembly.
my Columbine post on TumblrThirteen years ago today, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold went to their high school in Littleton, Colorado and killed thirteen people and then themselves, and I do think it's still the worst (or best) high school shooting in U.S. history. Now, I know you're thinking, "What about Virginia Tech?". That was a college, not a high school, and yes, the killer there was a fan of Eric and Dylan.my Columbine post on Tumblr2 years ago in Personal More Like This
And everyone has been asking WHY WHY WHY for thirteen years now, and it just makes me sick. Because they told you why, in the videos and the journals and Eric's web site. And people still ask, as if any answer will ever be good enough. As if you'd accept ANYTHING as a good reason. No, no matter what reason, people will always say WELL THAT'S NOT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON and ask why again and again.
Well, I will TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, and listen this time and maybe you'll learn something about people.
They wanted to do something that would leave a lasting impression on the world. So does everyone, though, but yo
Update 6w6 So today was one of those days. I woke up feeling shit, and while walking to/being in school I felt like everyone was looking at me. I hate people looking at me, it's unsettling. You can never know whether or not they are judjing you or saying not so nice things or actually trying to make you uncomfortable. That coupled with tiredness led to a bad morning. Then in second lesson I had a good cry and whined about stress to one of my maths teachers. She is lovely. At break I joined my friends in tears, and like an idiot pretended there was nothing wrong (cause annoyingly thats how I roll). They saw through my lies and comforted me and made me giggle. After that today just got better. I found out that in May my class are going on a geography trip to the Olympic site at London! Our decision making exam is based on that, so it will be helpful and super fun. Plus my friend Fatima gave me some candy cains. Also the final peice for my art exam project is going well, after hours of tUpdate 6w62 years ago in Personal More Like This
Love, Who Are You?Hi, my name is Morgan, I have long blonde hair and blue eyes. One day, I met a boy, his name was Paul, and we were both in high school. As strangers in the hallway, grow to best friends doing everything together. Playing video games together, paying back and forth for lunches, and even making him go see chick-flicks with me. It wasn't long till we feel't something for each other, more then the small friendship there before. His friends didn't like me all that much, and said that if Paul continued to be around me, it would make a mockery of him. He didn't want to look like a fool to everyone, falling for someone who wasn't as popular as him, but he never really gave up on me, because he didn't want to lose the love me and him had. After graduation, Paul and I went looking for a place to stay together, and it didn't take long for me and him to find a small apparent perfect for us. As we both had jobs, we didn't have trouble paying for it, in fact, we even had money to spear. I worked atLove, Who Are You?4 months ago in Personal More Like This
The Many Varied Uses Of Lemons...(Not by me)The Many Varied Uses Of Lemons...6 months ago in Personal More Like This
Most people are familiar with the traditional uses for lemons to soothe sore throats and add some citrus flavor to our foods.
However the diversity of applications for lemons far exceeds general knowledge and once you read the following list, you'll likely want to stock at least a few lemons in your kitchen 24-7.
1. Freshen the Fridge
Remove refrigerator odors with ease. Dab lemon juice on a cotton ball or sponge and leave it in the fridge for several hours. Make sure to toss out any malodorous items that might be causing the bad smell.
2. High Blood Pressure
Lemon contains potassium which controls high blood pressure and reduces the effect of nausea and dizziness.
3. Prevent Cauliflower From Turning Brown
Cauliflower tend to turn brown with even the slightest cooking. You can make sure the white vegetables stay white by squeezing a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice on them before heating.
4. Mental Health

DON'T COME TO WORLD CUP 2014.
Our governors have wasted billions buiding stadiums that shoul cost half and won't bring any improvement for the life quality of the popultion. Meanwhile, people are dying in the hospital lines due to lack of infrastructure. Violence against regular civilians is ou of control, specially in touristic cities like Rio and São Paulo. Airports, public transportation, hosteling and other services can't handle our own intern needs, so go figure what is gonna happen in the world cup when thousands of tourists come.
BRAZILIANS ARE SICK OF IT. THIS WORL CUP IS GONNA BE MESSY, TOURIST-DECEIVING AND DANGEROUS, NOT MENTIONING DISRESPECTFUL TO OUR PEOPLE, CONSIDERING ALL OF OUR CURRENT GIANT PROBLEMS.
If you still have doubts, take a quick look on any digital brazilian newspaper right now.

The Poorest & Most Generous President in the World
José Mujica, president of Uruguay, has been described as the world's poorest and most generous political leader; he donates about 90% of his salary to charities, lives in a modest house at his wife's flower farm, and drives a 1987 VW Beetle.
José Mujica, 77, is an atypical politician. Uruguayans know him as "Pepe" and just about everyone in the country agrees that, in everyday life, he's a citizen like any other, except he doesn't have a bank account and has very few debts. He lists an old VW Beetle as his only personal asset, although he also gets to use, as official transport vehicle, a humble Chevrolet Corsa which he calls "the Presidential car".
By law, Mujica's annual salary is about US$ 150,000. Pepe keeps 10% of it for personal expenses and transfers the rest to a Foundation administered by the Movement of Popular Participation, his political left-wing organization, which supports small productive enterprises

SDSU Professors Help NASA Find Two Most Earth-Like Planets Yet
The next time you gaze at the constellation Lyra, ponder the possibility that someone might be gazing back.
On Thursday, astronomers working on NASA's Kepler mission announced the discovery of two planets orbiting a star in the distant constellation that could theoretically harbor life.
These five planets were found by NASA's Kepler mission. Perhaps the most exciting part of this discovery is that two of these planets fall in the habitable zone, sometimes called the Goldilocks zone, where liquid water—and potentially life—could exist.
"These are the most Earth-like planets ever discovered," says San Diego State University astronomy professor William Welsh, one of the dozens of scientists who helped confirm the planets' existence.
Two planets found by NASA's Kepler mission are now the most likely places we know of for harboring life beyond our own solar system. Two San Diego State University professors wer
Correct Attitude Towards ReligionA religious belief is not a statement about Reality, but a hint, a clue about something that is a mystery, beyond the grasp of human thought. In short, a religious belief is only a finger pointing to the moon. Some religious people never get beyond the study of the finger. Others are engaged in sucking it. Others yet use the finger to gouge their eyes out. These are the bigots whom religion has made blind. Rare indeed is the religionist who is sufficiently detached from the finger to see what it is indicating these are those who, having gone beyond belief, are taken for blasphemers.Correct Attitude Towards Religion2 years ago in Personal More Like This

1. Helps Your Digestions with Enzymes
Raw kiwi contains actinidain, a protein-dissolving enzyme that can help digest a meal much like the papain in papaya or bromelain in pineapple.
2. Helps Manage Blood Pressure
Kiwi's high level of potassium helps keep our electrolytes in balance by counteracting the effects of sodium.
3. Protects from DNA Damage
A study by Collins, Horska and Hotten showed that the unique combination of antioxidants in Kiwi fruit helps protect the cell DNA from oxidative damage. Some experts conclude this can help prevent cancer.
4. Boosts Your Immunity
Kiwi's high vitamin C content along with other antioxidant compounds has been proven to boost the immune system.
