A tall, slim figure stood, back straightened prominently. He had his arms crossed, and the figure seemed to be deep in thought. He looked around, and Jeff heard him say, "Damnit, where's that kid I was after? Screw it." Jeff looked to Smile, and then back to the man. Jeff saw the man jump (and giggled a bit inside) as he shouted, "Hey you!" The man, whipping around and falling on his backside, yelled in surprise, "HOLY SHIT, WHO'S THERE!?"

The town was peaceful, and not much happened outside of daily farming and trading. Donnic’s mother had left when he was young, and his father who took care of him was a career artist. He would often take his extravagant paintings to the local trade gatherings and return with a large bag of gold. Despite all the money they had, though, Donnic and his father lived in a small cottage on the outskirts of the town. Donnic had oftentimes asked his father why they didn’t get more luxurious living arrangements with their wealth. His father had always replied saying, “Now why would we do that?
