We shouldn't have known each other, despite living so close. I was living in Kearny, New Jersey and he was from Belleville, a twenty minute bike ride away, but we ran in different circles. I guess, you could call what happened a chance meeting, it certainly wasn't planned. It was about midnight on a Saturday; we were the only people on our train carriage.
As we got on the train from New York to New Jersey, I approached him. My feet stepped in front of one and another, but they were heavy, trying to hold me back. I muttered "Hey" and sat on the seat in front of him, waiting for a response. He looked at me for a moment and said "Hello, do I know you?"
"No, you don't, but I have twenty minutes on this train, so I thought I'd say hello!"
A small smirk came on his lips and he said "Yeah, okay. Well... I'm Gerard"
"Frank, most people call me Frankie though. What you coming back from?"
"Bit forward, aren't you?" he smiled and carried on "I was at a late meeting. I started a comic book a few m

I am the secret keeper, ma petite chou,

But alas, they are secret, so my child you will hear none.
I am the secret keeper, my job is thus:

I lock them in my crystal ball,

I've listened to the secrets of politicians,

In Between Dreams
A fragment of a second
Just one slight glance
You're the only person
That puts me in a trance
I feel so close to you
But I am so far away
If only you knew
I felt this way
To fully express this feeling
It's like raw torture at heart
Because you live on without knowing
And it makes me desire you even more
A solace night of dreaming
I thought I never would have it
This longing luxury of sleeping
It's what I've always wanted
I thought it was too much to ask for
A sense of rest and relief
I feel as if it's more than I deserve
It's been so long since I had this nightmaric disease
I wish you could know
Of the peace that you bring me
It's something I never had before
I'd give anything to always have this serenity
Never again do I wish to awake
I can't let this placebo end
It's for my own sake
I can only pretend
When I see your face

"It's truly over. . .Isn't it?" Tarrant asked, a clip of optimism now evident in his voice.
"Yes. . ." Mirana replied, causing him to smile once again. "And now you have a chance to start over, too. So, why not here at Mormareal. . .where you belong. Besides. . .it would be nice to see “Tarrant Hightopp,” employed in my court again.”
Letting out a chuckle, Tarrant admitted. "Yes. . .That it would be. But. . . what about Mally and the Thackery? I couldn’t just leave them.”
“No, of course not. They’re part of your clan, and belong here as well." Again taken aback by her generosity, Tarrant could only gaze upon her with sheer gratitude. "Mirana. . ." he formally replied, "You've always been such a dear friend to me. Thank you. . ." he whispered, emotion welling up once again. "I'd be honored to stay. . ."
Smiling through the tears, she sighed with relief. “Good. Then smile. . .” she playfully mimed, a

Nick loosened his grip on the baseball bat and let the cup of it tap the ground once he had finished off the last of the horde's stragglers. He wiped his forehead with the back of his free hand, careful not to let any sweat get on his jacket sleeve.

This was a part of her job that Denise hated: having to deal with angry students. In this case it was Jenna, a student that the young high school history teacher had had problems with before.
“Young lady, just because the rest of the class has already left for lunch gives you no right to speak to me in such a way!” Denise’s tone was quiet but firm. “The grade you got is the grade you deserve.”
“If I was a cheerleader or a jock you wouldn’t say that, you’d at least let me do it over! God this is so unfair! Why are you even a teacher anyway, you are so not good at it!”
“Maybe if you spent more time on your schoolwork Jenna, and less time worrying about what you’re going to wear, we wouldn’t have this problem.”
“What do you know? You wear the same boring shit every single day. You are just jealous; you wish you coul

"And after we do that"
"Yeah, yeah! The dung bombs"
"Don't forget the fire whiskey"
"This is bloody brilliant!"
"Fire whisky and dungbombs?" Remus asked, not bothering no look up from his textbook (yes, he was reading a Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook for fun).
"What are you two doing?"
They both jumped, heads knocking together, then pained groans leaving their lips. "Ow. Bloody hell," Sirius grumbled, looking over to Remus.
"How the hell does he just appear outta' thin air?" he questioned, rubbing his forehead.

The city was in chaos. Crime had completely taken over it. Starfire already heard of the dangers that lurked in the city and learned that after a breakout from the prison, the police completely barricaded off a section of the city to stop the dangerous crooks from escaping.
Knowing Nightwing, Starfire figured he must be at the heart of it. She flew over the blockade and could see how decrypted it had become. Her plan was to wait till some criminal showed themselves; it would be the only thing to draw him out.

It'd started one day when he and AJ had been talking about for how long exactly they'd been together. At some point, Kevin had accidentally implied wanting to spice up their bedroom activities. Ellis' heart jumped to his throat, the way one would after hearing a sudden noise from behind them. Fortunately, it only took his brain less than .01 seconds to remember where he was again and for a calming sense of relief to prompt his body into the previously relaxed state it'd been in. He let out the breath he'd been holding and rested his hands on his chest.
It reminded him of the time when he wore one of those eye mask things at night, just to see how it'd effect his sleeping pattern. Well, while he'd gotten a fairly decent amount of sleep, waking up in the morning to find that you've gone completely blind wasn't a very fun experience. He'd flipped out, running all over the room and smacking into every piece of furniture to boot, and It wasn't until his mother came rushing into the room and yanked the mask off his face that he realized what'd actually happened. The con man's face remained as stoic as it had been when they first entered the safe room. It was a fairly large space for a back room of a jewelry store, filled with filing cabinets containing information regarding the shop's various clients and their orders. Two large white tables were situated near the back for jewelry repair, a few stainless steel watches of local brand strewn about the shiny plastic surface along with their tiny parts. Some cubbies used to hold individual customer's jewelry were pushed against the wall opposite the safe room door in a haphazard manner, as if they didn't originally belong there.
