Okay, I'm getting reeeeally confused now. BBR was supposed to be the first comic that would introduce to the world of OZ (it also has kind of specific plot, there're reasons why I don't want it to be the last one), and after that any stories about characters' past would be appropriate. But since I don't have much experience, I could draw some short comics\strips to get ready for big projects. That's so hard to decide, duh @A@
I finally got a new tablet and my scanner is back :"D Probably that means I'm going to scan EVERYTHING I've drawn during this half a year *Holds her breath* Wish me luck, guys, because the first chapter is going to be started in the new year. I hope so. I really hope so. If not, you can give me a huge kick. Anyway, nothing can be better than limited palettes and this kind of style ;w; I'm almost sorry pages won't be drawn like that Happy holidays, everyone :3 -------------
Когда-нибудь я соберусь с духом и сделаю человеческий перевод, с оформленным текстом в облачках картинок и все такое, но это надо собственноручно переделывать шрифты, а я человек ленивый и своевольный.
So I've made silhouettes of all OZ characters that are more or less important for the story GOTTA DRAW 'EM ALL. Except for Quadling and Munchkin, they're big boys. (That awkward moment when you realize your universe has gotten huge) In case you're looking at them and wonder who're these people and why you don't remember them being in the first three books, don't worry: I've changed a lot, some characters are renamed, some are mixed together, some only slightly remind of their prototypes or completely belong to me. (Just to make it clear: first row are the rulers, second row first group - BBR protagonists, second group - storyline from the 'Marvelous Land of Oz', third row - the Winged Apes, fourth - Leslie's family, the last one - other freaks :'D That division doesn't mean anything though, all OZ storylines are tied together closely) Anyway, drawing silhouettes is funny, and it's a useful reference for me 'u' Of course these aren't the final concepts, but at least I'll be able to be guided by other guys' shapes.
Dumping this here in case artblock won't let me finish it. Yep, this is what picking palette looks like: a colorful mess. Finally got to color old sketch because this is, like, one of the first locations in BBR
