This is long, long, LONG overdue, but I finally managed to finish up this icon! Lots of painful parts to this one that I had a hard time overcoming.. The shield and sword perspective being the worst of it, hahaha.
I couldn't resist. I really couldn't. The opportunity was there, and I just HAD to take it. I don't know what possessed me to go through with it. Oh well, I got it out of my system! Anyway, art-wise I'm pretty pleased with how this came out. Wasn't expecting it to be quite so detailed, but I got carried away!
Just to explain something... In the far end of the project, the gems are a sort of "Crystal Cave" that you enter from underneath the biggest waterfall.
Well! I'll say right now, a TON of work went into this one... Worked from the moment I woke up, to the moment I went to sleep for three days to get this looking the way I wanted it to. Probably one of the odder things you'll see me uploading, I don't often do crafts like this, haha. It definitely was an experience.
Done for an assignment for my 3D Art class: Basically create your dream garden. This would be it for me! Waterfalls everywhere!
Really proud of this one. I'm not too familiar with drawing animals, so this was great practice. Huge thanks to the person who requested this for being so patient with me. I know it took longer for me to finish this than it should have.
This... Is the first thing that I've really drawn for myself since 2011. Just about everything since then has been for other people or for LPing.. I guess I just really needed to kick back, relax, and draw something that I really wanted to do. It was just a really quick drawing so it's not the most detailed out of what I've done, but it was nice to get it out of my system.
I'm actually particularly proud of this piece. I really wanted to do fanart of Rita, and it came out a lot better than I expected it to. I don't think I can outdo this for awhile. Hahaha. It took so long to drawww. ;o;
Gave these away to viewers I met at PAX East 2013!
Whew... I will say right now, these took a LOT of work.. It's a huge step up from the bunch of Kirbies I made for MAGFest ! I was working on these over the course of about three weeks.. But I did ALL of the painting within the last two days. I was literally spraying the sealant on them the night before I had to leave on the plane! Cut this one a little bit too close for comfort.
Honestly, I thought I'd give away maybe eight Princes.. Ten at most. I just made 20 as a just-in-case sort of thing... Surprise! Every single one of them went to a new home! I can't tell you guys how ecstatic I am about that!
