Okay, I promiced two awesome artists on dA, :icontoontwins: I would give them the recipe for dango.  You all can use the recipe to your liking as well=D

Here it is...

You require the following ingredients:

1 1/3 cup joshinko (rice flour.  Or you can get rice flour and grind it, but it must be ground just enough so it's as a flour.  Any wheat grinder would work well.  Just use the electronic one.  I did it by hand and it hurts><U)
3/4 cup warm water

For Sauce:

2/3 cup water (I start out with cold water--it doesn't matter.  It's going to be boiled anyway.)
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 tbsps soy sauce (Any soy sause will do.  Just don't make the same mistake I did when accedently using stake sauseXDD)
1 1/2 tbsp katakuriko (dogtooth violet starch)/cornstarch
1 1/2tbsp water (i'd use this amount to help grind up the cornstarch.  Cornstarch is a solid, so you might as well use a liquid to help grind it up into a fluid before puting it in.)
*Bamboo skewers (Or, as we use, metal clothes hangers that have been cut into skewersXDD  Metal works relly well, just watch out it they get too hot>>)

Making the rice dumplings:

Put rice flour in a bowl and add warm water. Knead the dough well (or just use a metal spoon if you want to). Make small round dumplings (the size of rubber balls). Place the dumplings in a (vegetable) steamer and steam them on high heat for 10 min. Cool the dumplings and skewer them in bamboo sticks. (3-4 dumplings each stick.)

Making the sweet sause:

Mix water, sugar, and soysauce in a pan and put it on medium heat. Mix the water and katakuriko starch in a cup and set aside. When the sauce boils, add the starch mixture and mix quickly.

And then...

Slightly grill the skewered dumplings and brush the sauce over them (using a small steak brush (whatever it's called) will do).

*Makes 4 servings.

And because I feel as generous as I usually do, I'll throw in a pocky recipe as well8D

Pocky Sticks are long, skinny wheat crackers dipped in various flavored toppings, including chocolate (a stick is pictured below), strawberry, milk/tea swirl, cinnamon, almond crunch, and others, including such exotic varieties as melon.

Recipe for sesame tart pastry:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/8 cup sesame
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter
1/8 cup brown sugar
1/8 cup soy bean jam (Or you can find a substitute.  I think we used pumkin butter for ours.)
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup water

Steps for making it:

1. Mix flour, sesame, and salt
2. Cut in butter
3. Mix jam, yolk, and water, slowly add to flour mixture
4. Roll out and freeze for one hour
5. Fit dough into mold (I am still hunting down the perfect mold, but haven't found much luck.  You may have to do it by hand.)
6. Bake, 400F 10 min

(Or, if you are lazy or are in a rush, just buy some sesame sticks or think pretzel stick and dip them in chocolate (leave about a range of an inch to a half inch so your hands don't get sticky).)

Flavors to dip it in:

1. Slice mangos and layer on top of baked shells, brush on honey
2. Layer on top of baked shell
3. Bake 400F 10 min

1. Squeeze 1/2 cup worth of orange juice
2. Add 1/2 tbs of gelatin and let stand 10 min
3. Boil, cool to egg white consistency, and pour over mangos
4. Cool pie -oh, I mean, tart - in the frige overnight.
Serve tart with fresh mint.

Chocolate...Well, just melt that oneXD

I hope I helped any, :icontoontwins:!  And good luck on making it if you do!

Before ya read: Glitched journal was glitched. Here it is again after a leetle compy-related inconvenience.

Alloweth me to become quite sappy, dear deviants and beloved watchers, for I have to admit something I've been feeling about y'all. I escaped dA to be on Tumblr and I'll tell you - it's fun, it's addicting, it's just awesometastic - but I could not help but keep on checking back here. And you know when they say stuff like "They are not actual friends," or "Once ya leave, they'll leave too and go on to check out other things like you were never there"?
I believed that, I accepted it, it sounds more than realistic and I've seen a grand many cases in which an artist leaves this site/any site and everyone kinda vanishes on 'em. Makes sense.
But dudes. I come back on after a whole month and eight days to throw very simple sketches and whatever from Tumblr at you guys and then the biggest surprise hit me that you all are still there. Although I've been gone for such a while and have become less than social on this site, I am met with the smorgasbord of delicious buddies and watchers that have stuck with me since the beginning.
That is just.... dang, I can't even. You guys are awesome. Each and every single one of you, dudes. I am seriously the luckiest person on the face of the bloody universe, in both worlds of art and reality (pfffffft-- can't believe I said that) to have such an incredible interwebby family such as y'all. Thanks for everything and not giving up on my airheaded lack-of-uploading stuffery.

Oh, speaking of "airheaded", I just wanna say casually that I was in another bicycle accident two days ago and winded up breaking my head open and bleeding from it horribly. Got staples in my scalp, so all is well. :la:

And anyhoo: I never draw fanart, but that's all I've been tossing on Tumblr because original works are never paid attention to on there, true story, and because THE AVENGERS WAS JUST BLOODY INCREDIBLLLLLE! JUST.... AUGH! Making an audio review and everything! The emotion, the action, the explosions straight form the flickle zwitting realistic fraudery of the grand Hollywood media though done right, it was all just FANTASTIC. BLOODY AND KRAZZLINGLY FANTASTIC. AND OVERBLOWN WITH LOKIESQUE YUMMERY AND THORILICIOUS MM-MM-MM'S.

How are your summers so far!? Hand over the gossip, guys!

Gimme stories.

Tell me how y'all are doing.

Get up.

Fight me.

Give me a HUG. :icondeathfaceplz:

Just a few little notes on the latest MLP episode. Because I know you all care so very much.

- I like that a ton of Applejack's relatives from the first episode are at her celebration, but no Braeburn? I guess he couldn't get there in time. Which raises the question of how far apart these Equestria cities are.

- Ponies use outhouses? ......................................................................................................why.

- Oh ho ho, I see what you did there, writers. There was a character in the fandom frequently referred to as Cherry Jubilee, but that name was borked by Hasbro when they called her toy Cherry Berry. How does the writing staff respond? Give a new character the name Cherry Jubilee.

- "Cherrychanga". I think Pinkie just outed herself as being Deadpool. No wonder she's called the "big guns".

- Also, Pinkie's weapon of choice? Being annoying. YOU ARE ALL SURPRISED, I CAN TELL.

- OH GOD, I SWEAR, I'LL NEVER BREAK A PINKIE PROMISE, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME. Also, Applejack, aren't you the element of honesty? What the eff?

- They called the place Dodge Junction so they could make a "Get the heck out of Dodge" joke. WHY IS THIS SHOW SO AWESOME.

- "Raritycatchme!" "What? *SMACK*"

Not being heard,
when I never said anything,
For I cut off my tongue
I said so much,
and I got none.

Comments or questions,
A simple hello,
Instead it was a silent scream
I don't care,
Breath someone Else's air
Sing another song,
Don't be here,
We don't care.

I'm not entertainment,
No, this feels like torment,
A bitter sweet plate
An winged lover tasting a devils game
My life is well, but it is not,
For I starve in places
When I am full in some,

Now, I will cut them off,
Like a infected limb,
I am numb,
I have been starved,
Mentally, and physically,
But no soul came to stitch my wound
To carry me to mercy,

So This isn't a goodbye from you,
This is from me,
My death wouldn't make a bird fly
Nor would it make the songs play
And it would not step into your brain,
You would not cry,
Life would be so much as it is now,

I get so far into these word games,
so I suppose I will end it here,
But hear me, I will bleed,
Until I die, and fade from your life.
I will not heal our grasp,
You held the knife,
Now you hold the stitch

Goodbye I love you,
I loved you. Goodbye

this is the part where I usually tell you a bit about it and the concept. its hard to understand. blah blah blah, but I don't want to.

another note, I am not leaving DA

Alright, so the game is becoming a bit too big, but no worries; there will instead be two Huldrefolk Makers, one male and one female. The one thats nearly done now is the female one, and Ill make the male one after that. Sound okay?

March 14th, 2015 - Black Heart Event
Whew, it's been a while, hasn't it? Hope everyone's been doing well!

Recently heart events were introduced. This is a reminder that we do have a rule that a single 'event' between characters can only get a certain amount of FP. Please read the FP journal again if you are confused or ask questions. Still, I do get a lot of questions about this, so let me try to explain it again.

The FP System (summary)

You get FP for drawing an interaction. Let's use Tobi ( arcanium ) and Rei ( Pokey-Chan ) as an example.

Method 1:
I draw a picture of a scene we roleplayed- having a drink at the bar. I collect my FP.
Tobi + Rei = +200FP (drawing).

Pokey also draws a picture of the same roleplay, and posts the RP log.
Rei + Tobi = +200FP (drawing) + 200FP (roleplay log).

Therefore, we have attained the maximum amount of FP for this roleplay (600FP). We can't get any more for this roleplay unless there's a bonus or we used an item.

Method 2:
Pokey and I collaborate on an image together. We see this in the FP rule as..
COLLAB: (Tobi + Rei ) + (Rei + Tobi) = 400FP
(basically, we took both our FP earnings that we would have received from drawing individual pictures and combined them into one.)

We post the RP log... Thus the total is 600FP. We can't get any more for this roleplay unless there's a bonus or we used an item.

There is NO BONUS for collaborations. It is the same as if you had drawn two separate pictures. You are simply getting both FP earnings out of one picture instead of two individual ones.
This brings me to my point: the black heart event's theme is first impressions. For those of you in the second enrollment, this may not be a problem, but a lot of those people from the first enrollment who have already met have already drawn a 'first meetings' type of picture. Therefore, if your heart event drawing depicts the same event, the FP for that would have already been collected (either 400 or 600 FP). Technically then, the heart event drawings of an event already submitted for would only be 300 FP (the bonus).

HOWEVER. It is always unfortunate to learn of such things after doing the work already.  Therefore, if you want to count it for the full amount, it is acceptable to do so. We will count it as sort of a 'looking back' type of image; ie. characters remembering how they first met. It would be best to adjust your images (if you aren't done yet) to show that somehow, but either way you are still allowed to count it. This is only a problem because the heart events were not up from the beginning anyways.

This is only for the black heart event. For all other heart events, please choose new content. Though it is recommended you do something from the present time (ie. in the summer), you can also choose a roleplay/headcanon you've done before but never submitted.

So, this is just a clarification. Hopefully everything makes sense! Please ask if it doesn't. And look forward to the new (short and experimental) festival coming up soon!

January 13th, 2015 - Acceptances and Declines
Hello everyone. First off, to all the people we've invited aboard the Panna Cotta, welcome to the group!! Story Event 4 will detail how you end up in Toffee Town instead of 'Coffee' Town. There were never going to be two towns. It was simply meant to be a humorous little thing, like we did in the first enrollments. We are sorry for all the confusion and secrecy (not really though). Anyways, feel free to start roleplaying and submitting content to the group! More updates to come.

As for those of you who were not accepted to the group, we are sorry. Unfortunately, with this group being limited slots (even with a few expansions), we can only take so many applications. Still, we did not decline any applications that met all our requirements (hence why some jobs took an extra person). If you were declined, there was a reason for doing so. It's not that your app was BAD, mind. Please don't think of it that way. But should you try again, I would advise you to improve upon it in some way, after reading the following.

Here are some enrollment 2 specific notes I'd like to mention. The majority of declines were for writing this time, not art:
➥ Personalities NEED balance! We saw many 'nice' characters who lacked negative traits. Quiet is not a fault. A general shyness towards new people is not a fault. Blunt is not really a fault either (kind of, but you see it too often). Clumsy is more of a quirk than a fault. Situational faults don't count either (ie. sometimes they want to be alone. We all do, man). Good traits disguised as faults also don't work (ie. they are strict, but because they want their work to be good). This is a list I like in terms of good faults to use:…
The stronger and more balanced your character felt, the more likely we were to accept you.

➥ It's best to detail your character's personality as well, so we can get a good understanding of how they are. If your personality section was too short or some traits felt casually tossed in there, you lost points for that. It's best to write a trait and describe why that trait is positive or negative. (This doesn't mean write a wall, however. Concise is best!)

➥ If your character's personality traits contradicted each other, that was also bad. This happens more easily when you write a lot, so think carefully before you do. (ie. (character) was good at speaking to people, but they come off as an annoying person because they like to show off. uh?)

➥ Unique characters were A+! (just not excessively dangerous or violent)

➥ History. We declined anything that was incredibly angsty (losing body parts, whatever). Remember, this is a Harvest Moon/Rune Factory group. Bad things happen, but that level of bad doesn't need to happen to everyone. We know you're all dying to come to Toffee Town, but it doesn't have to be in a literal sense. If you had something nice happen instead and came to Toffee Town in good spirits, we gave you points for that.  Life long/incurable illness, excessive death, and really depressing situations were frowned upon. Of course it doesn't mean an automatic decline, but we don't need so many of those kinds of characters in town.

➥ Personality is not explained by history. Not everything has to be, but...particularly for negative traits, it would be good if the history could explain why your character behaves in that way.

➥ History does not link to job. Not always a bad thing (some jobs do not require experience), but always helpful. The stronger the affinity for your chosen job, the less likely you are to get moved to an alternate job as well.

➥ History doesn't make sense. (ie. in the history they disliked the job, but they want the same job in the group?) Try to make sure whatever you wanted to say was clear. We didn't look at stuff like grammar in too much detail, as long as we understood what you wanted to say.

➥ Character does not fit job. Make sure they have SOME traits (not all, because we don't want all the characters to be the same) that fit the job they want.

➥ [INDEPENDENT] Unique to this job, we also looked at just how useful your job was for our town. That is, if we could see it being needed in rp or if we wanted the items you would make for our marketplace, since they are items in villagers' liked/loved list. The more so, the more points you got. That too, was an important factor.

And from last enrollment:
If your job is full:
➥ The job you wanted had a lot of applications, and we ultimately decided to choose someone else over you.
➥ You didn't put an alternative.
➥ Your alternative was also full and we chose someone else over you.
If your job isn't filled or why you weren't chosen over others:
➥ The art didn't make the cut (this varies depending on who applies).
➥ The character's design didn't stand out enough / didn't suit the job.
➥ Your character was too unrealistically young for their role (ie. full fledged nurse at 16, tiny child-like blacksmith with inconceivable strength).
➥ Your personality section was too bland or sue-like or overpowered.
➥ Your history section was too short (1-2 sentences) / too long (5+ huge/long paragraphs ...or just a lot of paragraphs in general) / confusing / over the top. We were looking for concise writing that wasn't too out there/unrealistic. A summary is enough. The rest can be explored in roleplay! You also lost points if it was too cluttered and hard to read.
➥ You didn't use the story. It was there for a reason!
➥ Something about your OC was 'too much' for the group. Your character was too dark, your history was too violent/out there/too modern, etc (remember, this is a HARVEST MOON / RUNE FACTORY roleplay group! Think about the types of characters in those games).
➥ There were a lot of characters with your character's personality type and we simply ended up picking another one. Being unique is good (just not too much; note the point above).
➥ Part of your app contradicted itself. Be careful especially when writing personality!
➥ You got points if your bio/personality related to your job. Yes, jobs were freely handed out, as the flyer said. But a specific attachment to a certain job was always good.
➥ Your character didn't suit the role (ie. a super antisocial character trying to do a job that involves talking to people).

Due to how things worked out, we took a lot more hybrids than we thought we would. Thus, we probably will have a humans only enrollment for Fall, to adjust the ratio of humans to hybrids again.

Well, that's it for now. Have fun in the group!

And for those who didn't make it, cheer up! We saw a lot of great apps and we're really honoured that you took the time to apply anyways. Thanks for your interest. And don't fret, there will be a lot more chances in the future!

January 11th, 2015 - Chatroom Etiquette
Hi! First off, to all those in suspense, we are just about done judging. So the wait won't be for much longer!

Moving on, this is a matter related to only a small (unnamed) group, but it is important for the entire group to know nevertheless. I didn't think I'd have to mention it since we're all mature human beings here, but here we go. Everywhere in the group, and in this case, particularly the chatroom, it is important to be courteous to the other members. Therefore, spam will NOT be tolerated in any way.

Now, I don't mean this as a no fun allowed sort of deal. Obviously the chatroom topic strays from roleplay and Eclair Express. As long as the conversation is inclusive and doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable, it's fine to talk about whatever. You know, socializing.

By spam we refer to when something (be it a word, sentence, emote, whatever) is posted repeatedly and thus prevents actual conversation from happening (since it makes the chat move very quickly). It's not part of any topic and does not contribute to anything. Frankly, it's quite annoying. Even if a moderator is not in chat, it's not okay to spam. There are plenty of other things to talk about if things are quiet. If you like posting emotes, go do it in your own chats and DA pages.

Particularly during enrollments, if we see you, we're judging not only your application but also your behaviour in our group. So keep that in mind.

With that being said, look forward to the acceptance list coming up in the next few days!

January 7th, 2015 - Enrollments Closed!
Well, last night, but here's the obligatory journal. Thank you to all those who applied! It may take us some time to pick members (we are all busy!) so please be patient. The survey has been finalized with all the apps we received, so if your name isn't there, we didn't get your join request!

We look forward to meeting all the new characters soon!

December 30th, 2014 - Upcoming Enrollments
Wow, the last title was so wrong. It has now been fixed. Why did no one tell me..?! Just kidding.

Enrollments begin tomorrow! They will last one week. The timer will be updated so you know just when they end. As a reminder to people new to rp groups, the join requests are opened MANUALLY so if they are still closed at exactly 11:00:00 AM EST, it is because I have not yet enabled them!

Tomorrow, in your join request, please include the following information clearly. You don't have to put it in that exact format or whatever, but make sure it's all there and we know.
- Name of Job
- Link/URL of your Application (completed only)
- Alternate Job (If you have one)
As another reminder, alternate job is optional. Here are a few things to know: if you are selected for an alternate job, you cannot make a new character. You must modify your current character to fit the other job. Also, please, please do not put an alternate job you do not want! If you're going to be inactive because you wanted your main job and got selected for your alt instead (thus being disappointed), then what's the point, right?

Anyways, simply submit this information in your group join request. We will accept your join request if you are chosen for the job you wanted. We won't be looking until the enrollment period ends and it might take a few days (to a week) so please do not rush us!

Of course, this information was all in the Character Creation blog, which you all read, so there should be no surprises, right?

We look forward to seeing the newbies! Thanks for all the interest in our group!

December 15th, 2014 - Activity Check Ended
The activity check has now ended. Thank you for those who chose to remain in the group with us! If for some reason you were kicked out and you didn't want to be, you are free to reapply. However, do note that your prior inactivity will be taken into account.

For new applicants, the job signup list is now available. This is not a first come, first serve thing to guarantee a job. It's merely a survey to see who is applying for what, and to avoid a huge competition over any one job (since limited slots). We will also be using it during enrollment to confirm whether or not your application has been received by us. Handy, huh?

As a final reminder, we will be more picky with hybrid apps than human apps, since they are considered a more uncommon species in the world (and with the activity check over, the hybrid ratio in the group has been growing). Those applying with a hybrid should take heed of this.

Enjoy your holidays and see you guys during enrollment!

PS. For those worrying/confused, this group only has one town: Toffee Town. We will not be running a second town as well.

December 4th, 2014 - Important Dates
Happy December! Here are some dates that may or may not be important for you to know:
The activity check will end on December 15th, 3AM EST.
You've had plenty of time to submit something, but now is your last chance. I will do a gold count after that time, and anyone who has not passed the activity check after that time will be removed from the group. Should you have a reason to require an extension, note the group.

NPC Passes and Job Change Passes to be made available on the 13th and 14th of December. To make it fair, I will split up the passes for different timezones (just in case, though I do not feel like it will sell out or anything). Once the item shows up in town hall, you may purchase it.

Each round will have 5 NPC passes and 4 Job Change passes. Any leftover will just remain in the shop until enrollments open. At that time, we will stop selling them.

Round 1: 10 PM EST December 13th, 2014
Round 2: 10 AM EST December 14th, 2014

Finally, enrollment date:
December 30th (11AM EST) - January 6th (11PM EST).

As a reminder, more details about the enrollment will be listed closer to the date (recall that we are updating the story for enrollment 2, so don't write yours yet!!). The new jobs are already posted, so you can start making your apps if you wish assuming you see that slot open.

More updates to follow in the coming days!
Thanks for your interest in our group! ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ

November 27th, 2014 - NPCs, Job Change, New Jobs
Another update! Thanks for your continued support for our group!

Summer will be the next season in EE. Here are a few things planned for it:
  • All shop workers will be able to make items for their shops. Exact details will be released later...
  • The expansion system(?) will be up..tentatively soon, at least. That means housing!
  • Heart event quests. Will be necessary for marriage! (no marriage yet, though)
  • New jobs, areas. etc.
Story event 3 will follow the goddess festival. It'll be Rune Factory themed, and will lead to the upcoming enrollment (which still doesn't have a set date, sorry).

For current members of the group, here's some information for you on:
New jobs and job change:
(important info for independents!)

Even if you've no interest in the two, I would recommend reading anyways for the information. These items will be available sometime after the goddess festival, and an exact time that they'll be put on the market (they will be sold in town hall) will be announced beforehand.

Remember to ask questions if you've got them!

November 14th, 2014 - Second Enrollment
Hi! This information is mostly for people interested in joining EE in the second enrollment.

We don't have a concrete enrollment date yet; it depends on when Story Event 3 can start (it will be after the Goddess Festival, which will be coming up next). Enrollments will coordinate with the event AFTER se3. I'm thinking it will be late december... ie. Christmas break.

What I do want to explain is that this enrollment will be nowhere as large as the first one. Currently, we're looking at around 20 new members or so, give or take. Also, for those of you eager to make apps, I would show some restraint (besides designing your character in a general manner). This is because you don't know what jobs will be freed. We will not be adding slots to every job; this is for sure. Whether or not slots will be available depends on how we feel about the jobs when enrollment begins and also how many people will stay in the group (from the activity check or otherwise).

What I can tell you is that there will be NEW jobs available (3, to be exact) which is what the enrollment is for. Filling those new jobs, and filling empty slots. Also, as Spring draws to a close, current members (not the newcomers sorry :C) will be able to switch jobs (maybe) and get npcs (limited) in summer. Save up your gold for it!

If you are REALLLY eager, then I suggest you plan for jobs that already have an open slot. At the time of writing, that would be Blacksmith, Fisherman, and Inn Worker.

As well, the 'story' enrollment 2 new members are using will not be the same as enrollment 1. So we'll give info on that closer to enrollment (remember, the train is still out of commission--).

TLDR; Don't start drawing apps until we release a concrete list of what jobs are available!! If you don't want to be disappointed!

Hope you guys have a good November!
