A/N: In Episode 2, Reese went to the software design company where Finch (known as Harold) was working as his cover. One of his female coworkers seemed very curious about Reese. This story is from her POV.
I'd never really spoken to Harold. He was a quiet, mousy man with a pronounced limp who came in quietly to do his work, ate his lunch in the breakroom without joining in the conversation unless it was necessary, and left just as quietly after he'd put in his hours. He usually came in at the same time every day, but as a programmer he had flex hours and would sometimes come in an hour or two later. He took a lot of personal days, too, but someone had once suggested that he probably had to go to physical therapy, which seemed reasonable enough. I've worked at IFT for seven years, five as the office manager for our division, and he'd been a fixture for as long as anybody could remember. Frankly, I'd never really thought much about him. Computer geeks aren't my type, and Harold pract

As though I could ever hurt it.
I could never hurt youyou who brought me back from the edge of oblivion, you who gave me new life, a shiny new purpose, a reason to live. Maybe I'm just a killer. Maybe that's all I'll ever be. I'm still human though. Humans get lonely. Even the trained killers and the billionaire computer geniuses.
The life we lead is lonely.
Sometimes I don't mind.
Sometimes, I have to admit, it's a bit too much.
That's why I call to check in as often as I do when we're not even working a number. Really it's just an excuse to hear your voice.
Sometimes I think you forget to put your heart in the box.
Or maybe, the heart just has a mind of its own and breaks loose without your permission.
It's always pretty plain when it manages to break loose. You're so practiced at keeping your emotions hidden, but they show in your eyes. All of that sadness, loneliness, guilt and
Thank you, HaroldMy vision was blurry. My wound throbbed, my head throbbed everything throbbed. I felt like I was going to throw up. I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Every noise seemed to echo like it was far away. I couldn't move. It smelled like a hospital. I was on my back, my hands on my chest, something pulled over me, lying on what felt like some sort of cart. White lights flashed past as I stared at the ceiling. My head swayed back and forth with in a rocking motion. I was moving, being pushed? I slowly and painfully moved my eyes upward to a form that seemed to be standing over me. What who was that? My eyes tried to focus. A man, a funny looking man thick rimmed glasses, spiked up, fluffy hair, a terror stricken face, his mouth open a little who was he? Then it hit me, I remembered. Finch. He'd saved my life, or, rather, he was in the midst of trying to do so. I felt the cart stop. I saw another man, a doctor. “Tell me what happened,” Cullen demanded as he stood in front of Delani’s wounded companions.
Cullen had led a small platoon of soldiers, accompanied by Iron Bull, to the campsite where Delani had last been seen. They had been met by death, bodies of bandits and a few Inquisition soldiers were strewn about. The battle that had taken place here was hard fought. Everywhere he looked he could see evidence of Delani’s skills as a rogue.
The grass was charred by Antivan fire, broken glass from smoke bombs and healing potions littered the campsite. Many of the bodies had fatal puncture wounds or slashed arteries. Delani fought smart and she fought hard, it came as no surprise to him that she had taken down as many bandits as she had.
Iron Bull had rushed to Dorian the moment that they dismounted, hurryin

That my brain would shut off,
That people would listen
When I whisper the undeniable truth.
But if no one listens
Then who the hell cares?
I am wishing that you were here
To smother my nightmares
And make me feel like I am safe.
If they can't see what I see
When I close my eyes
Then is it really there?
I am wishing that you still loved me,
That you would feel more for me
Than you do for her,
But I will never be good enough.
If you hold me and say everything is fine
Will it be a lie?
And I just wish you would say something
Because the silence screams
More truth than I can take.
And I just miss the sound of your voice like crazy.
But if I can't feel my own heart beating in my chest
Does that mean I am no longer living?
I don't know
For the Sake of an Angel“One can tolerate a world of demons for the sake of an angel.”For the Sake of an Angel3 years ago in Drama More Like This
He’s an angel. He doesn't even know it, but he is.
When I was young, I was told that all people are assigned a guardian angel at birth to look out for them, to keep them out of danger. As I got older, I stopped believing in angels. I realized that there was no one watching my back but me. In the end we’re all alone and there’s no one coming to save you.
But then…There was. There was a voice in my ear guiding me, and there were supporting arms to lean into when I thought the end had come for me. There were sparkling eyes and tiny smiles and Sencha green tea and something to look forward to every day. He had lifted me out of the darkest depths of my persona

I was frozen. I couldn't move, I couldn't think, I couldn't speak. I stared at the boy who seemed to be in the same state I was in. He had the same soft green hair and dark green eyes I remembered, except his hair was shorter. He was the first to snap out of the shock. Gumo glared at me darkly.
"What are YOU doing here?!" he demanded.
I bit my lip. There were over thousands of things I could say but my voice still wasn't working yet. Gumi glanced from me to Gumo and raised an eyebrow. She opened her mouth to say something but Gumo cut her off with another outburst.
"Why are you here!? I haven't done anything wrong have I? Counsel gonna chop off my head for 6 years ago now too?! Do I really need more suffering?!?" Now everyone looked surprised and confused. Couldn't blame them. Beheading went out of style like 500 years ago in the human world.

I Don't Even - He tells me his name is Pete. I know that he's lying, but there's an infallible and almost sensual kind of comfort in his voice that makes me not want to call him out - that makes me want to believe him. He smiles and looks at the ground when he asks for my name and I answer with Ruby. He knows that I've lied, too. Maybe it's the hesitation and timidity in my voice, the shiver and shake that rocks me from my knees to my fingertips or the resting tremor in my bottom lip that I try to hide by biting it - whatever the reason, he doesn't call my bluff. I can't decide if I like him better or worse for not blinking an eye at my blind and blatant lie.I Don't Even -3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Hello. Do you remember me? I'm that book, over there. We met a long time ago. In fact, next summer it will have been ten years.
I'm also not finished. At first, I thought you forgot about me, but that is ridiculous. I ring through your mind even today, if only a faint background noise. My story still exists, and you yearn still to continue it - yet you hesitate. Yet you make excuses. And now, I know what you are thinking.
You are afraid of writing poorly. You are afraid of losing your place, of forgetting where the plot was going - of becoming everything you despise. And now, you consider forsaking me.
Keep on going, my friend. I have been there through your tough years: when you were alone, angry, and hurt, I was who you turned to. I fueled you to carry on toward your dream. You gave your heart to me when you kept writing, even after you lost all your work. You cannot simply forget me, or simply quit writing. I will always be there, as I am now, in the back

The last catches of Pink Floyd's In the Flesh? played in the back of his shadowy mind.
He drank from the second vial, recalling his difficulty in obtaining it.
Ray's blood was easy to take; it was all over Cale's hands, spilling out from Raymond Sevrin's cheek helplessly. It was so easy, Cale reminisced, and he just held the vial under Ray's face, nobody noticing what he was doing.
"The others…Not so easy" Cale whispered to empty space “I had to turn bat, take it from them when we were at the camp...”
He took a swig from the final vial tasting Iz Cotur’s swee

Put yourself in marching shoes for five minutes. Only five minutes. Ready? Here we go.
You're now a member of the La Miranda High School Marching Band and Color Guard. Cool title huh? You start off by giving up two weeks of your summer to attend band camp that runs from 9 am to 5 pm. During this time, for three hours you learn basic marching skills (how to march, how to turn, how to play and march, etc.). In the afternoon you break into sectionals, groups divided by instrument. There you learn the music for the field show you will be performing at every football game. After you learn the music, you must memorize it, along with six warm-ups, different chords, and various pep songs. Remember, this goes on for two weeks. After school starts, things are just about the same. Rehearsals are during zero period class and after school Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 pm to 5:45 pm. During each rehearsa
