My thoughts on Doctor Who: The SnowmenOK, I got to see last night's Christmas special and I took some time to work out my thoughts on it. But first I did want to say something about the previous Matt Smith specials. I didn't like them. The 2010 one was a cliched take on the overdone A Christmas Carol type of story, and last's year's bore me so much I gave up watching it at the first commercial break. Now, what did I think of this year's? I actually liked it. It's one of the few 11th Doctor stories I actually like. (And it is a VERY short list.) Starting off, I liked the set up with the boy and his snowman, really drew me in like when I saw "Fear Her" for the first time. I was thrilled to see the Doctor's past allies of the Silurian Vastra, her human wife Jenny, and the Sontaran Strax return. (I do wonder how Strax came back, given he previously died. It was briefly explained...) I'm glad to see that they weren't just one use characters.

I'm so sorry I've been inactive for so long. I've been busy with my graphic novel (which is complete BTW). I have my HSC trials currently and that means I won't be on for another few weeksI'M SUPER DUPER SORRY! But These are very important and I've already done my two english papers (which wer total and utter bullshit) and I have a whole heap of other exams.
So when all this is done, I'll try and get some drawings up I promise. I have some really cool ideas and some suprises you might find shocking or exciting.

That is totally Sarcasm.. my week has SUCKED since Monday
First off i feel like a ZOMBIE the entire day on both Yesterday and Today. can't remember ANYTHING from School. Watching The Voice (TV show) on Monday was really nice. it being the finale and all i wanted to watch it. but My mom made me take some pill to help me sleep (which i didn't want to take in the first place) too early and was getting sleepy before it was halfway over... but i decided to stay up anyway. Speaking of medicine I'm sick with some sinus thing and have to take this horrible tasting liquid. It's so bad that Applejuice + Rising my mouth out with water + brushing my teeth + bubblegum= STILL BAD TASTE IN MOUTH... Thankfully chocolate got rid of the taste. But anyway... While watching the voice it's almost time to see who WON and then....the power goes out.... apparently a transformer blew up and we could see the FIRE from out window... So yeah sure was fun t

In case you didn't know it was a 61 pages historical comic I made last year for a contest, so out of nowhere my ex teacher happened to like it so much that he found guys who were interested in publishing it in my town

So my task was to re-ink everything and color it to make that old manga-ish thing look a bit decent. Overall the end result could have been much worse, but still there are things I couldn't properly correct due to the lack of time. Oh well.

For the past few days my baby brother has been living with us. I usually only see him once a week when Mom comes up, but he's been living with us because Mom has been in the hospital. She's been on bed rest because she's been under so much stress it's causing a lot of contractions.
You all know I've been sick. It's killed me that I can't play with my brother and help out with him, but I can barely move. I collapsed in the hall earlier and needed to be helped back to bed. So I've been no help.
When Mom called me from the hospital she sounded...funny. I knew she was hiding something - I can always tell. She told me "I don't want you to worry", and that's when my heart shattered. When she says that it's bad. It was. It was really bad.

PART ONE:
It started off as an apocalypse, and it was 2013, and there was a warning that the ocean was going to continually rise and flood the Earth. I live in California, right on the edge (literally I can walk to beach and be there in 15 minutes) so my town was freaking out because we were all going to die first. I live in the "back of the valley" as it's called, on a big hill. I wasn't terribly worried at first, so my house magically had this hug balcony, and I was looking out at the ocean waiting for the ocean to rise. I was really appalled as to think nobody started to come up the hill so they'd be safer.
After that part, I don't remember much, but at one point, the whole town was on my hil and the ocean had started coming up the hill and people were freaking out and I somehow became a giant and went down the hill and lifted up a manhole cover and drained the ocean into the sewers a

Apparently I sounded good... hopefully that's not a lie. Well anyway, now I need to find another excuse to play the piano constantly....
I didn't mess up on the piano! ... so that's a good sign? I think? People told me I had a good voice, and frankly, I sound so egotistical now... but I thought my voice was the best it's ever been. My vibrato (the shacky part of the singing) was the best It has ever been, and I sounded mature.... at least I hope I did....

frankly, I just want to voice my opinion before my courage runs away. Criticism is great, it is what keeps my ego at the door while creating art. My father has been my biggest critic for the longest time. I just found myself a bigger one. This critic is just a tad... overboard, I know they mean no harm, but I am but a mere teenager, I do have emotions and I will defend something if I really love it. If I'm confident in my abilities, I will defend them to the death. When I stop doing so, you'll know I have lost the magic in the piece. So I'm just ranting... and I know I suck at writing, so I'm proud to say I will no longer attempt writing outside of English class.

last weekend I had the opportunity to watch the new show , Gravity falls.
It is a very FUN cartoon .
I love the opening title scenes and music.
The animation is very good , nice art style , and of course the main characters are adorable .
Specially Mabel. she is so crazy and natural.
Dipper is like a more friendly version of Dib from Invader ZIM .
And I can describe the story as a kids version of Mistery INC , with a little Lost and X-files touches .
Dont know yet if they will keep the mistery town arc , or fall on the usual pre-teens drama .
Anyway , would like to know your opinions about it .
Btw m I am planning for a very fun illustration of Mabel soon.
