We sold a decent amount of things, and have finalized a few plans and loose ends. I feel a lot more calm now that my sister has actually left the house and her room is empty. The dark cloud in the house has disappeared. It seemed like such a peaceful day today. I am beginning to be less and less fearful of what will come within the next week. Fear and depression are slowly being replaced by confidence and a bit of joy. Perhaps this wasn't what I wanted right now in my life, but most things happen for a reason. On September 11, 2001 my family lost one of a precious member in our family. My older sister, JeanMarie "Jaime" Wallendorf was a light of hope. At 23 years old, her smile could light up a room and her laugh and hugs could make anyone feel better. Jaime was working on the 89th floor of the South tower for an investment firm. She was generous, affectionate and loved to dance and there is not a day goes by that my brothers and I try to uphold her honor by being as caring as she had been.
I am here to honor her, others lost in the 9/11attacks and all the families who share this pain of loss by contributing to this great cause.

Comparing Originals To CanonsI don't know about you guys but it pisses me off every time someone does it. I don't know about the rest of you but frankly I find it downright insulting to be compared to other series. I've had the same character (Kandis) in different drawings be compared to Final Fantasy's Fran and Avatar's Yue and Korra.

I don't really know how to approach this journal... its a difficult thing to face or acknowledge... As a few of you might know, in 2008 I moved away from my home in Michigan due to some very personal reasons regarding my safety and a person that was getting out of prison... In 2012 I moved back to this account because said person was returning to prison. In that time I have not managed a trip to see my family even once... At first because I was anxious about seeing that person and now simply because of monetary issues, those issues being that I have pretty much barely enough to pay monthly bills.
Over the past few months when I talk to my mom I've noticed her sounding less and less well, she called it a chronic cough and acted as though it were nothing, but I found out today from one of my brothers that she is now going on oxygen and that her health seems to be deteriorating fast.

(semi vent/rent about ponies) - Important if you are interested in my ponies. TL;DR at the end.
Have you ever worked on what seemed like an endless project and it just won't come together and you just want to throw the towels in. I feel it is like that every time I make a pony. I now remember why I avoided them for half a year. It's because they make me HATE sewing. It might be a little harder to understand for those who machine sew ponies, but for me, it's the tough way around. Due to the lack of a sewing machine, whenever I do a mane or tail, it is not two solitary pieces that get some satin stitching. It is similar to when people get frustrated about Rainbow Dash's mane because of all the individual strands. That is the story of my life with ponies. Each strand has to be individually cut and hand stitched EVEN if it is the same color. When it comes time to hand sew, it takes me about 15 minutes to sew a strand, there are strands on back an

Epic Journal Feature and other random thoughtsSo, by now you all should know that when I feature art I normally stick with what I know and that's photomanipulation. However I do appreciate what other types of artists do and bow to those who are just down right AMAZING. These people come in to DA knowing they can get art that should be worth upwards of $100 for free because young artists completely devalue their own time, effort and skill and think that this is ok. Meanwhile it completely destroys professional artist's chances at getting any work because the customers are bitching and raging that their prices are a rip off when it couldn't be further from the truth.
