2) how hard it will be to get accepted at Angel Academy
There seems to be a widespread conception that getting into Angel Academy of Art, or any other classical academic art school, is extremely difficult.
But this is NOT so.
None of these schools are „elite" even if some like to present themselves that way. Angel Academy, as well as many other similar schools, will accept pretty much every applicant as long as the school has space for them.
During my time at Angel Academy, this was often the case. My boyfriend back then got accepted even without a portfolio!
„Wait a minute, what does that mean? Are those schools just greedy moneybags?"
Sure, the tuition is expensive (Not for Americans who usually pay much more, but for us spoiled Europeans who get government grants for

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.
The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'
Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly.
The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

...or maybe that's just me. I don't know. I love talking to people. Like, actually talking, not pretend talking on a phone where I can't hear the person's voice or i dunno, pretending that facebook friends are real friends (oops that's me sometimes too hahaha). Hands and feet are pretty hard to draw. Lots of artists struggle with them! Even when other things come naturally, hands and feet can still be quite a problem. The best way to get better at drawing hands and feet is to study them!
The Challenge: Sketch or draw 50 feet AND 50 hands from reference photos or life.
Deadline: The deadline has passed for this challenge, but you can still participate and make yourself a better artist!

How I (Finally) Got Good SkinI get lots of compliments on my skin in my photos. I got told yesterday on my latest set how nice it was. My skin was not always baby-smooth. Throughout my teenage years I had what is known as cystic acne. Life was depressing. I can't say which kind of acne is worse, all-over surface type, or one single giant zit-from-hell in the middle of your forehead. I had the second kind. I was extremely self-concious, and I wouldn't have dared to take stock photos had I not found a way to clear up my skin. Day-to-day, I took my stress out by picking at my skin. There are people who literally spend hours of their life every day following me. People who obsessively save every work of art I post online. People who comment and hypothesize about everything I do, even when I am not doing anything. People who make their own comics, websites, and blogs because of me. People who meticulously sift through my stats, my comments, and near-decade old journals. People who obsessively screen-capture everything I say or do anywhere online.
