Yeeep, a mini snow globe! Have been wanting to make something like this last year already but never found the right materials @_@ But after a lot of trials (figuring out what exactly I am looking for and what keyword to use), I finally found the best "glass container" on taobao xD
Making Spheal since it's easy to make and fits nicely in a snow globe and I won't be sad if it goes too wrong. Thankfully this kinda works, at least no liquid leakage. Still a lot of things that I need to figure out how to be able to make things correct, especially the problem with the large air bubble. At least there's still time before Christmas for me to do a few more trials to figure out things ;u;
Mini snow globe is about 3 cm tall, hence I called it mini.
If you ever wonder why I needed air-dry clay, this is one of the reason XD It takes so much less effort to mix any colours with air-dry clay, but I still find it harder to use than my Fimo/ Sculpey... maybe it's because my hand is too warm so the clay still tend to dry out pretty fast ;-;
Anyways, this was fun to do :'D Actually this deviated so much from my original idea but I am still happy with how this come out XD
I bought the box from a craft shop :3 The back is painted with arcylics. Hearty air-dry clay and some other small materials like black string were used. The drifloons are held from the top with fishing line.
Size of the box (outer dimensions) : 7.5cm (w) x 10.5cm (h) x 5.5cm (d)
For an art trade with *areica, sorry it took me a while to get this together ;u; I hope you like it!
At first I wasn't sure what kind of scene to put a female pikachu and shiny ditto together, but then I suddenly has this "poking" idea coming so this happens. I don't think it showed too well in the photos but femalechu is poking ditto with a stick, and ditto isn't too impressed (obviously).
Yeeep mini scenario in a (small-ish?) bottle, bottle measures 4cm in diameter and 4.5 tall.
More Mini snow globe :'D This is a commissioned piece. Took about 4 hours to put together but I am quite happy how this turns out. I was so glad that someone asked for a Caterpie, one of my favorite bugs here definitely!
The glass sphere measures roughly 3cm tall with a 2cm opening and is bought online. (From taobao so only if you live in China, if you are in China and wants to know the link just let me know). Everything else was sculpted with polymer clay, including the fake snow (which doesn't really show in the photo but I failed to photo it in motion Dx ). Liquid used to fill the globe is distilled water (+ some glue to give it slight viscosity). A piece of ribbion was applied to cover the connecting area where hot glue was applied.
Commission for ropihl on LJ (Sorry I don't know your DA username)
It's their pokecharacters, Tali the furret nuzzling the sitting Umbreon Noctis's cheek. I think it looks better to have their eyes closed but if you want me to change it that's okay too, just let me know!
I hope you like it :3 Sorry I completely fail to photograph any details on Noctis ;-;
Sculpey + Fimo clay, the base is around 6.5cm on the longest side.
I don't know if anyone remembers, but ages ago, I made two tiny wailords. After having them sitting on my desk in the bottle for ages, I have finally put them into "use".
So I made more tiny wailords the other day! All with different shades of blue to make them look better in the bottle, and each has a slightly different pose :'D
The only problem I have is that I forgot to wait for the glaze to dry out completely before putting them in the liquid, so there's some tiny little white residues floating around. It looks okay but still... it was a mistake ._.
Forgot to photograph the newer wails before putting them in the bottle, but it's too late now since the bottle is already sealed, so just check the old deviations for details ;_;
There's a total of 6 wailords (one is shiny), and a super tiny wailmer. Each wailord is about 1cm long and the bottle is about 3.5cm tall, sealed. Cork has been painted blue with acrylics.
I swear I can't do commissions constantly without doing something else, which I kinda feel bad for my commissioners I have always wanted to try making a Scolipede and so I finally did. Making the main body was so fast, but when getting to the details it took ages >u> Anyways, so glad it's done!
Sculpey + Fimo Polymer Clay. Scolipede is about 3.5cm tall and 4cm long, these counted to the tips of the antennas
