I have always tried to support every poet here on DeviantArt, and always looking for more new poets who need the support of all of us. Been featuring poets and reading many many poems, I discovered that the most beautiful poems are written by those poets that nobody knows about them.
Amazing concepts, extraordinary imagery, and so much heart and soul. Each one of the following poems deserves a Daily Deviation any day and most of them are less than 10 fav.
Remember, support the unknown poet. and beautiful comments. And, please this Journal, so many more can read these amazing poems.
FactionsBlack man hates White man, and Green man loathes Gray,Factions3 years ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This
Gray man beats Red, for his deviant ways,
Red man and Scarlet have always been close,
And form an alliance against other folk.
Purple and Beige men are all quite convinced,
The world would be better without men of Pink,
And the heinous acts meted out by the Golds,
On the poor Pastel factions are best left untold.
The cultures of Yellow and Blue are now past,
As Green men subsumed them and wiped out their caste,
And Brown men have conquered what's left of the Tans,
All driven by fear of their fellow man.
From the midst of this chaos arises some hope,
The words of calm reason to love other folk,
And who is the prophet ending this plight,
It's the unshackled blind man who has the best sight.
Rock, Paper, Scissors.Sometimes I wish for strength enough to rid myself of tears,Rock, Paper, Scissors.3 years ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This
To confront those things that trouble me and banish all my fear,
To bag up all life's problems and throw them all away,
To seek out all life's bullies, to show them a better way.
For though I was born different and may not look so great,
My face may not be handsome, my stature not so straight,
Just look beneath the surface and put aside your sneers,
And find that I'm the same as you, with all those hopes and fears.
So think before insulting, before calling me those names,
I know that I am ugly, I can hardly hide that shame.
I try to build a barrier to the hurtful things you say,
I try not to let it penetrate, I just try to walk away.
But it doesn't seem to matter how very hard I try,
To drag myself from my despair, fighting not to cry,
Each time I summon new resolve to face my life alone,
Your rock still blunt my scissors and your paper wraps my stone.
