Inspired by Ni no Kuni, with a hint of something Christmassy in there.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

This was painted while on livestream, so the recordings are available online:

Another experimental piece. I really enjoy painting in this style, it's so free-flowing and therapeutic.

This is for the Swancon ([link]) art show, which is apocalypse themed.

Inspired by a Shadow of the Colossus dream I had a few nights ago, which was tremendously strange*, but the lighting and atmosphere of it stayed with me.

Shadow of the Colossus has to be the game I've had recommended to me the most times of any game, but I have to admit, I only recently played it when the PS3 HD version came out. I'm sure it'd be no surprise to anyone to say I enjoyed it.

*If you really want to know, it involved a rather stupid company attempting to train colossi into being a tourist attraction. This went all kinds of wrong.

After seeing a friend's gorgeous winged monkey picture at Swancon, it got me thinking about the idea of a more mammal -like dragon.

This one's a dragon/ghost bat hybrid, adept at catching and toasting crickets. I love the translucency of bat wings, the way they catch the light while being slightly see-through.

It's been another full on week, but the most exciting thing for me has been having the level building finished! We're getting really close now, and I'm thankful that I have a little time left over to polish the levels and animations.

By the way, I did a little interview with Michelle Starr from CNET this week! You can check it out here: Game Dev Stories: Stirfire Studios

Hi everyone, I have an announcement to go along with this image. You may have noticed I've been posting a little less frequently in the last year... well that's mostly because I've been hard at work on what started as my own game project!

Things have been full speed ahead in the last month,
so I'm excited to show you all some of the art I've worked on for this game in the coming weeks!

So... I started this one almost two months ago, then ended up with next to no time to draw, and only just got back to it this week.

It's been a while since I've posted original art, though recently I've been getting to do a whole lot of awesome stuff at work, so fanart's been a good break. I've just been given the okay to post a few pieces from work up here on DA too, so look forward to that in the future!

Anyway, about this picture? Well, I just thought it'd be interesting to do a more 'modern world' mermaid. I wanted her to look like she'd adapted to the industrial environment, incorporating pieces of scrap and chain in her costume.

Naturally, she'd need to come to shore every so often to polish off that rust!

Inspired by that lovely feeling you get when you enter a whirlwind of leaves.

Update: Freedom Fall is now available on Steam for PC and Mac, iTunes, Android and the Ouya

I hope you're not afraid of heights...

This is Marsh, the game's protagonist. Not so much a hero as a survivor, life hasn't been kind to him.
