Inspired by a Shadow of the Colossus dream I had a few nights ago, which was tremendously strange*, but the lighting and atmosphere of it stayed with me.
Shadow of the Colossus has to be the game I've had recommended to me the most times of any game, but I have to admit, I only recently played it when the PS3 HD version came out. I'm sure it'd be no surprise to anyone to say I enjoyed it.
*If you really want to know, it involved a rather stupid company attempting to train colossi into being a tourist attraction. This went all kinds of wrong.
It's been another full on week, but the most exciting thing for me has been having the level building finished! We're getting really close now, and I'm thankful that I have a little time left over to polish the levels and animations.
I wanted some practise with dramatic lighting, so I decided to paint this picture with a strong back-light. I went back to my old technique of painting in greyscale first, so it took me quite a while to find a colour scheme that worked for me. (You can see the in progress greyscale painting on my Facebook page)
Hi everyone, I have an announcement to go along with this image. You may have noticed I've been posting a little less frequently in the last year... well that's mostly because I've been hard at work on what started as my own game project!
Things have been full speed ahead in the last month, so I'm excited to show you all some of the art I've worked on for this game in the coming weeks!
I have a friend who will be opening a cafe ("Nom noms cafe")in a couple of weeks and she wanted a few artists to submit work you be displayed. She said I could draw anything so I drew my OC Tsubasa (young tengu form variant) So some point this week ill print it on canvas and mail it to her xD
