A discordant array of messages flows in one ear
And out the other,
Obscuring any rational thought I may have.
Divine hallucinations of beauty and grace, juxtaposed
With horrific scenes of bloodletting and torture,
I give them both a place to congregate.
My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to quell
The raging tornado of megalomania and self-loathing
That resides within my conscience, the gale
That blows my inner peace to faraway lands.
My mission is to calm the storms
Which derail my train of thought, and soften the blows
That, in the moments when anger overtakes me,

Truth?"Truth?"Truth?7 months ago in Free Verse More Like This
Truth has become reality's biggest nightmare
Which always becomes buried by those in despair
For is it more noble to bite one's tongue until it turns red
Or let truth accumulate until his heart pumps out dread?
My intuition has led me to the truth many times before
Of which I have realized truth is not the cure
But what is the truth when every character has a story
Upon which each owner desires to claim truth's glory?
For it is comforting for those to retreat from their fears
Or deny truth exists and mask it with cheers
What ignorant mortals for them I take sorrow
For truth will target and haunt them tomorrow
As for myse

Following a path lain red
Where everyone talked
And I listened to what was said
Where the limestone met gravel
And the gravel met dirt
In the grave yard of hell
Full of the dead ones words
I wore the shoes of crimson
To walk the beaten path
Waiting for the one
To end the worlds wrath
Angels and demons made of stone
Folded hands in prayer to some god
To leave me all alone
Drifting through the fog
Laces white but faded
Sunny rays all gone down
The one the angels hated
The awful wrenching sound
Soles eaten through and worn
Souls crying in the wind
Stained with crimson gore
The shoes on till the end

The hooded cloak coiled around Akataras while he walked, white as the snow that fell from above. The black of mourning had not slipped from the elf's shoulders for long, before he had once again clad himself in light. Familiar pains were easier to bear perhaps, or he had found a new road, paved on the lives he had buried, that led to a more clear path.
His path was clear, but his mind and heart were not. His long and ragged brown hair was not in the style of one whose mind was settled, or heart healed. The white furs, silks and leathers he wore only warded against the frost outside, not within. The exhaustion

Mist crept along the black earth, seeking something to shroud with its probing tendrils. It enveloped the bones and debris littering the ground, scouring them of the last morsels of meat and goodness. When it lifted, there was nothing left but fine white powder.
Nobody with the faintest trace of sense would be out beneath the violent spine of rock and ice that, even on horseback, would take several months to cross. No one had tried. The Isgaerth Mountains repelled life with a cruel grimace. A caustic path of molten lava dribbled lethargically down the black rock, the only light in the landscape. The greenery was sparse, clinging to the bare

Yes I CanI believe that I am in love. And you, like most people, have probably already started to roll your eyes. I'm only sixteen, so how can I know what love is? I'm too young, I'm not mature enough, I can't begin to understand the true meaning of it. What is the true meaning of love anyway? How can it even be defined? It's so broad of a term, it encompasses so many diverse and deep emotions, and there are so many forms it takes. How can you take such a thing and try to define it? Well in all reality, you can't do it. If I knew every word there was to know and had unlimited time to pin it down, I don't believe I could. Lit me up, supplied my heart with voltage,
I was dreaming, I was sinking,
My world was filled with aching,
Talking to you was a good part in my day,
I express what my heart dares not convey,
Through touching and hugging, physically,
With words and poems, mentally,
I feel the pain of losing you,
By hateful and bitter rules,
The steadiness you show while being hounded,
Will not be without rewards unbounded,
As long as you forget me not,
Our love can always be begot,
On the day our hearts can together, fly away,
You'll see wondrous night, I'll see illustrious day.

That's how it comes to me,
That strange feeling,
Serenity,

A world of eternal conflicts,
One battle after another,
Ideas and emotions, desperately,
fighting to exist.

Full of lies, hard to control,
Inside you rage, a monster caged,
Outside you grin, instead of going insane,
I see your soul right through that mask,
Of rotting thoughts, and bloody raths,
And stare into your cold eyes,
As a fake smile is raised.
I know the truth although most,
Stare at you with your newest boast,
You have the money, you have the people,
You have a hundred pounds of lies,
And I stand alone all by myself,
A hundred lies, and only one truth,
One me amidst the hundred you.

Fallen Children Prologue: Hunter and PreyThe monotone beating of the axes resounded through the woods. Elduin could hear it well. The sounds of steel on bark and splintering wood seemed to enter his ears and seep through to his inner being. He endured it like physical pain, like the axes were striking into him instead. The Greenskins who had killed Cenarius, they still had the audacity to come into their woods and cause even more mayhem. Elduin slowly gnashed his teeth and the grip on his staff tightened. The pain was slowly becoming unbearable. The druid's amber eyes searched the trees and he tried to concentrate on something different than the woodcutting Orcs in the distance. The Dark TreeThe Dark Tree2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It's a sad world
among the crooks of body parts.
It's a gloomy place
within the crannies of human structure.
It's a dark realm
to shroud everything but its existence in shadow.
For underneath every opening,
every crook and cranny,
For beneath each bend,
each gape and crack,
is the darkness hiding just under the surface.
This is the dead tree,
the one semblance of every nightmare
concealed below the knowing eye of the moon.

And lingers and burns with a chilli peppers heat.
It feels like the deepest roots of real pain.
And the lowest point of desperate shame.

My brain is throbbing it hurts so bad
I can feel them, their hands on my arms

Wrapping itself around my throat
Strangling me in the night

But it just numbs my whole person
I can't feel, can't think
I'm a machine, a puppet
For me I have a choice, a painful one
Feel fear and pain

Tempest lingers on
Spume rises all around
Waves roaring angry song.
Eyes captivated by fuming sea
Ocean tossed, thunderous day
Feel so cold my clothes not warm
Still I want to stay.
Behind me sloping hills
Covered in groaning trees
Limbs break, crack, fall
Nature's might, feeling small.
No let-up storm persists
Between land and sea I stand
Oilskin needed, gale-force day
Frozen watch from land.
