I'd been thinking for quite some time about how to represent Derpy in the implied series, given that if I wanted her to fit in seamlessly, I wouldn't be able to show her trademark eyes.

But then I remembered 's concept art for Pinkie Pie, and thought that that little trait of flying upsidedown might serve as inspiration as a way to show our lovably goofy pegasus without her most obvious feature. To go with this, I purposely put a lot less careful thought into the lines and placement here, aiming for something a lot more freehand and relaxed on my part.

So, does it work for you?
