Deep in the woods of Koyasan is the sacred temple of Okunoin. It is the temple where the founder of Shingon Buddhism in Japan, Kukai (Kobo Daishi), was enshrined. And these are a fragment of the 20,000 souls that rest with him in the Lantern Hall.
This is a 5 minute exposure taken at night of the boat rental shack and recreation facility at Hawrelak Park, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Taken with a Nikon d300 and 50mm f/1.8 lens at f/8 and ISO 100. The lights from the recreation facility ended up being over exposed but I think that it looks ok considering the lighting of the rest of the photo.
