American House (9:35 A.M.)
"ALL RIGHT!! Spring break here I come!!!" said Alfred running towards his large bedroom to start packing. The winter had Alfred whining to be back in bed, rather than sitting in conference meeting while Arthur and Ludwig are trying effortlessly to solve the new-found problems in Europe. Not to mention the constant and heavy snowstorms that blocked the front door to his house and the snow was high enough to drown him. But forgetting the winter season, Alfred was more than happy to embrace the sunny skies of spring. After quickly packing for the break, he decided to spend the week annoying his ex-colonizer and brotherly-figure, Arthur Kirkland. He then took out his cell and quickly dialed Arthur's house.
Meanwhile in the house of England, Arthur was quietly asleep dreaming of his pirate days when he was at his most powerful state. As he was dreaming, the images shifted into the times he spent with his ex-colonies: Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Austral

Korriban: ancient homeworld of the Sith, now their training ground. Many citizens of the Empire have come through this planet on their way to becoming ranking Lords of the SIth or simply ending up as food for the various animals that infest Korriban's surface. It's a planet of darkness, it's a planet of shadows, and it's a planet that Darth Revan, now Serea Apostolia, has visited many times in the past. The first time was during the Mandalorian Wars and was part of what started her journey towards falling to the dark side again. Now, she is here as a Sith but not as a darkside user. Instead she is one of the many loyal Sith of the Empire who use the lightside to push the Empire towards a greater good.
Part of this greater good involves why she's here. By command of the E

Sister had gotten everything she wanted. Everyone loved her. Everyone wished to please her. She was the more beautiful one. She was the eldest. Mother and Father favored her over me. The best always went to her and I always got second best, if anything. They all hung on her every word and she got all the attention. I was left to my own design. No one to say I could or couldnt. No one to care if I failed or succeeded. Until one day in the most beautiful spring ever.
He came from a kingdom over. He was beautiful, sweet, gentle, and intelligent. Sister expected him to trip over himself to please her, but he paid her no heed. Instead, he wooed me. Me, the one nobody cared about. Me, the one nobody worshipped. Me, the forgotten little sister.
Sister was only annoyed at first. But as weeks became months, and he still followed me, she grew angrier. She couldnt stand it. She didnt unders

Young, I am a bright star with small, pudgy hands for guiltless flower-crushing. Before even that, I am a wispy squall for food, unused to knowing anything but myself, and warmth, and hunger.
The concept of a hero is a natural progression from understanding speech. I am Me. I am the one all the stories talk about, born special, to whom both innocence and wisdom are possible. I am so great a part of my own self that I do not know it can be detached.
I am eleven, narrow-boned and alone in the red earth, when I first feel it.
A seagull slews out of the bright sky and pegs its beak to the stones, draws it up wriggling. I watch its gullet bob. My hand floats up to mirror the lines of its head against the air. There is a cry, and its eye is a pond of yellow fire staring at me, the air a storm

Anakin opened the door of their suite and looked up past the brown folds of Jedi cloak to a masked alien face. He did not recognize this Jedi, nor the orange-faced youngling standing next to him, one of her pudgy hands gripping his trouser leg. She could not have been older than five, not if her species aged like Anakins.
Without looking around, he called out, Master Obi-Wan?
The tall alien said, Good day.
Anakin heard the footsteps and rustlings of Obi-Wans approach from within the young Masters room before Obi-Wan passed in front of him to soberly shake the visitors hand. Master Plo. Its good to see you.
Plo said, And you. The entire Temple waited to hear of how things fared at Naboo.

CIS vs GAR WarshipsCIS Warships vs. Republic warshipsCIS vs GAR Warships7 years ago in Philosophy & Perspectives More Like This
The Republic seems to have the advantage in capital ship combat, but the CIS has some equalizing advantages.
Many of the CIS warships are designed for mass production, and were designed for business scores not a full scale war. Many of the CIS leaders were cheap, and wouldnt spend the money for a traditional fleet. Only the Providences seem to be specifically designed for combat. The Lukrehulks are simply converted freighters with VERY strong shields and some turbolaser offensive capability., but with the sheer number of Turbolasers and the shield power added, with the fighter and troop compliment, a Lucrehulk is much a more battle-worthy ship than a carrier like a Venator (why it takes a flotilla to take them down). That's not bad at all for a converted ship, isn't it The Recusants are mass-produced destroyers. The Munificents are originally used to harass worlds heavily in debt, guard treasure vaults, and transfer finan

Laughter rang through the air, little feet crunching down on the leaves this time of year. Reds, golds, oranges and even some purples flew up into the air, falling down on top of three little heads, one golden, one auburn and one with silvery white hair. The golden hair was in a braided half ponytail, little flowers braided into it as a few scattered locks fell down a chubby little girl's face, complimenting big, ice blue eyes.
The little auburns hair was down to the little boy's shoulders, blowing with the autumn breezes, whiskey eyes looking to the little girl. It was the beginning of every love story. Two little ones, always fighting yet still together all the time, best friends.
And the youngest, a little silvery white haired girl looked on, angry but for no known reason. The ball they had been playing

Piers sat in the dew-chilled grass, poking a weed with his wingtip morosely. He turned his head up to the sky, letting free a few echoes. Zubats and golbats flew overhead most nights to catch insects, but none had arrived yet. His ears dipped, his shoulders slumping. Night after night he came out to watch the bats fly, trying to imagine himself flying with them, his mother and father nearby But none recognised him as their own. They said his fur was different from the bat colonies in this area, although he could not see what they meant. His fur was just like theirs! Not that it mattered. He didn't like them very much anyway.
But if he wasn't from this colony then where were his mother and father?
His face wrinkled up, biting his lip to keep a sob inside. Abandoned or lost or The familiar creaking of wings sounded overhead, and Piers looked up instantly, wanting to watch the colony hunt. Even if he didn't like them.

I leaned in toward Chancellor Palpatine, my face mere inches from his frightened face. But I could see him. I could see the Sith soul he possessed.
"I. Know. What. You. Are." I hissed.

"Don't lie to me! I know you're the Sith Lord the Jedi have been looking for! I can see it! I see it all. And I know what you're doing to Anakin."
"This-this is preposterous!"
At that moment I let my frustration control my actions, giving in just this time, not caring of the repercussions. Light saber ignited, I physically grabbed his throat, angling his head so I could look into his eyes, the azure beam from saber lighting the pure fear in his eyes. I hated to admit it, but it gave me a certain measure of satisfaction to see it.
"You are the Sith Lord!" I spat again. "You can't hide from me!"
His frightened façade fell away and I saw what he really was

She never said much, In fact nothing at all.
She would sit by herself, all alone.
All alone, Alone with her box.
No one really knew the contents inside.
No one really knew what she had to hide.
Only she knew what we all wanted to know.
We wanted to know, Know what was inside the box.
She never seemed to let the box go.
Our curiosity seemed only to grow.
Till one gloomy day we stole it away.
We stole it away, Stole the box.
Only now was the time we began to hear.
Only now did it all seem to be clear.
That was the moment everyone knew.
Everyone knew, Knew what was inside the box.
We heard the loud beating of her heart.
We took it away and took her apart.
Slowly it stopped beating, It was painful to watch.
Painful to watch, Watch the girl who had her heart stop.
Our curiosity seemed only to grow.
Curiosity killed the cat you know.

James Warford's T-80 Follies
This article was originally titled "T-80: The Soviet Solution, The Tank's Missile System is Aimed at NATO's ATGM Vehicles, Not Tanks", and was written by everybody's favorite compulsive liar, James M. Warford. It was first published in the January-February 1987 issue of Armor Magazine. You may remember the name from before --- he's the guy who has an unhealthy fixation of the failed T-64, and he coined the bogus term "Premium Tank" (that no other writers have taken seriously, as demonstrated by the fact that only Warford uses the term). You may also remember him as the guy who uses dozens of "Phantom
Sources" (a Suppressed Evidence Fallacy, along the lines of Senator Joseph McCarthy claiming to have a list of X number of Communists in the State Department --- which was later discovered to be a LIE).
This time he's out trying to convince the armor community that the T-80 and it's gun-launched AT-8 Songster missile are some sort of Soviet conspiracy to

Desperate, longing, to simply be sane.
Want to be free, to dance with the wind
No longer thinking what we had was sin.
Used to be open, carefree and young
Long before we knew how love truly stung.
Now so broken with patches and scars,
Thinking this plan has never been ours.
Sure there's a reason for every small tear,
But gratitude is something you will not find here.
Give it some time, let memories build up
Don't think about all the days now corrupt.
Oh to be innocent like I once was,
To answer my questions with words like "Because"
Without having to worry about things in the past...
Not really wondering how long we would last.
Last ActThe dark green grass slipped coolly in and out of the spaces between my toes and the soft breeze played with my hair. A flock of robins fed on the plentiful worms that sprung up after last night's storm. Suddenly something moved in the background. It was a cat. Its black fur glistened in the warm noon time sun. I held my breath and kept a watchful eye on the cat, waiting for… something… something to happen on a boring mid spring day. The cat tensed, ready to pounce. The breeze stopped in mid sentence, sensing the danger and waiting for the kill. What appeared to be a black ball of fur lunged forward, her rib bones disappearing slightly, its yellow-brown claws stretched out on instinct.
