When he hears Obi-Wan call Qui-Gon Master, it is as if the ship has lurched beneath him; he has been terribly nowhat slaver would go through such an elaborate ruse to capture one boy, even a top racer? And he can sense the rightness, as surely as if he were beholding the wonders of the Jedi Temple already. (He is not sure what those wonders are, as mostly when he imagined Jedi they were flying or fighting, but right now the air seems as imbued with promise as with oxygen.)
So he assesses Obi-Wan again, and sees a man younger, less scarred, than Qui-Gons example had lead him to imagine Jedi to be; were he raised in Mos Espa, Anakin thought, Obi-Wan would be...what? A gambler, a farmer, a vagrant? He does not seem to fit any of those molds. On Tatooine, anyone with such...such a shy sort of politeness, paired with the authority and skill shown by the fact he carried a lightsaber, would be left alone.
Obi-Wan was waiting when Anak

Anakin opened the door of their suite and looked up past the brown folds of Jedi cloak to a masked alien face. He did not recognize this Jedi, nor the orange-faced youngling standing next to him, one of her pudgy hands gripping his trouser leg. She could not have been older than five, not if her species aged like Anakins.
Without looking around, he called out, Master Obi-Wan?
The tall alien said, Good day.
Anakin heard the footsteps and rustlings of Obi-Wans approach from within the young Masters room before Obi-Wan passed in front of him to soberly shake the visitors hand. Master Plo. Its good to see you.
Plo said, And you. The entire Temple waited to hear of how things fared at Naboo.

Its only for a couple of days, Carth.
Its still awkward.
Lire Dakaar sighed and lobbed a pillow at Carth, catching him squarely in the chest with it. He made a faint oof sound before glaring at her, tossing the pillow onto the bunk behind him. Tumbling into it, he squeezed his side up against the wall and folded his hands behind his head. Lire just rolled her eyes and ignored him, tugging off her boots. She only glanced at him once before taking a seat on the edge of the bunk, setting her boots off to the side and wiggling her toes in their sock-covered freedom.
You know Gadon only had one spare bunk, she said finally, her back still to Carth as she looked around the darkened barracks.

She passed a hand over her head (she thought that the hand should be shaking, but it was not, and there was more subtle fear in that then in what had produced the shaking at the start), and felt cool air where the curved tops of her soft horns should have been. A rounded plate covered her head where parts of her mind still told her the base of her montrals were. It emitted a warmth that felt to her palm like that of a datapad which has been running too long, a bright electric burn entirely unlike the unmistakable, softer glow of body heat.
She could remember battling Grievous, could remember when the viewport in his starships hallway cracked, although she did not know who had broken it. Then--she was thrown aside into freezing space th

While the matters down on Earth raged on, the Irken Armada continued its battle with the Galactic Imperial fleet. At this time, the British fleet had been ordered to retreat from the battle and orbit the Earth. Jamming probes had been dispersed throughout the atmosphere, blocking all detection devices and the Music channel.
The 'Leviathan' had by this time captured and detained the Irken boarding crews with minimal casualties to either side, and was presently under repair.
The Galactic Imperial fleet had moved ahead of its capital ship the 'Executor', and had engaged the Irken vessels. The 'Executor' however had taken about twenty minutes seemingly trying to turn around.

On board the Executor, Admiral Piett stood at the command terminal for relaying tactical information and commercial broadcasting of orders from Lord Vader. Lord Vader himself was standing at the window watching the incoming Irken Armada.

Those dangerous animals were the whole reason she was here. She had been hired to retrieve the urgluk bezoar, a hunk of nutrien

He did not need to walk streets because he was here in this rusting red land and he would be here forever, every minute the future and all other futures unthought of, living and killing.
But when he is revived and resuscitated and his memory returned to him, he finds that the spidery legs he made were a cage. They frighten him with their messy unwillingness to move together, and thinking of them attached to the remnants of his body makes it all worse. He becomes, in quick moments that are not relevant to the future(s), afraid of himself.

"No," Gardener replied with a shrug. "Not a problem, exactly. I am wondering, however, what you're doing in my kitchen."
Shepard glanced down at the ingredients he'd gathered, frowned, and looked back up at the mess sergeant. "The Normandy's my ship. Technically, this is my kitchen."

And now, two new faces joined their circle. One belonging to a woman she had never expected to see again in her entire life. It was Breena, standing there, in the flesh, those silvery blue eyes gazing up at her with same loyalty they had held when she had decided to march them off to war. They were both different people entirely now, but she suspected Breena's

Many things do, broadly speaking, in the sense of being heralded by some foreboding omen or harbinger of fate. Whether it is the sound of trumpets commanding the first march to war, or a levitating stranger with technicolour wings come to tell you awkwardly about that metaphysical one-night-stand you didn't know you'd had, it was strange how great happenings tended to bring their own thunder before the lightning – and unlike more invisible instigators of doom, they almost always went down in the history books.
And so this, as well, began with a tinkle.
This particular tinkle chimed inoffensively from the little brass bell hung against the door and served as a very reliable sign of potentially great annoyances in the uncomfortably close future. If the little brass bell were sentient enough to understand how the sound of it ringing had come to be loathed, and had tear ducts, it would weep.
Aziraphale looked up from his book.*
