Blackout PoetrySo today in one of my classes, we did this thing called "blackout poetry", where we were given a (random) newspaper article and had to pick words to create a poem/story etc.Blackout Poetry7 months ago in Personal More Like This
This was mine.
"based purely on pressure into getting it right
I lost balance
and was nostalgically parched"
It was weird, because it sums up EXACTLY how I am feeling. Creepy.
Also, the article was originally about pizza.

It can only be ONE word. :iconbummy2:
Then copy and paste this to your journal so I can leave a word about you. :icondummydanceplz:

A new comic project!Hey, everybody. Long time, no talk.A new comic project!5 months ago in Personal More Like This
For the few of you who actually do keep up with me, you may or may not already know that I've got a new project in the works. It's a little fan-comic called "New Super Mario Adventures" (NSMA).
Written by me :icondanny8bit:, with artwork by JamesmanTheRegenold :iconjamesmantheregenold: and EarthGwee :iconearthgwee:, our goal is to create a high-caliber Super Mario comic that emulates the format and quality of the highly successful Sonic and Mega Man comic books that are currently being published by Archie Comics.
It's currently under heavy construction. Look forward to reading the serialized exploits of Mario & Friends in the months to follow, hosted both on :iconjamesmantheregenold:'s page and SmackJeeves (which I will be responsible for).
Hope you guys enjoy it! See you soon!
[P.S. -- Tom Token is still very much in the works, for those o

They have to tell our clients that they're not there with the intention of selling them anything, and that they're just there to present their product. BUT, they said themselves: the product sells itself. Presenting it will make pe

I just got back from me brother's wedding overseas - had an awesome time and it was great to finally see my bro taking the next big stage in life, looking forward to seeing his kids in the future!
Anyways I'd like to point out some really awesome Sonic Comic Dramas that got me through some of the homework I did for the Academy of Art university a couple weeks ago. I'm going to make a proper list a little later so that I can conveniently go to it during my times of tedious work! Be sure to check these out when you get the chance!

For each of the 9 first people answering this journal, I will put their avatar/username and the three deviations I like most from their gallery on the list!
If you answer, you have to do the same in your journal, putting the tagger on the first place. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone.

And such beautiful animation from our babies!
So what do we think of all this new info?
(What's up with Mako in the back seat of Asami's car and him getting thrown out?)
I don't like the lack of Makorra but frankly, this ad was a lot of solo shots in general.
The mysterious first Avatar?
Why does the Spirit World look like Gen 5 Pokemon world? (lol)
And in other news, we lost our super group status so we'll be starting another donation pool for Makorra Week after the finale.
Time to get this party bus rolling again. ; )

And I went to a conference where the MAN JIM LEE was there with Geoff John as well! Great speech!
But the most important one was with no doubt: STEFANO CASELLI!!! The ONE the BEST! Love his work! He was the one that made what I m now (even if I am like shit compared to him)! He is such an amazing artist and most important such an amazing person! He gave me such important tips and other advices! THANK U SO MUCH STEFANO!!!

I'll be taking commissions if anyone is interested. I'll update this journal for the prices later.
Here are my prices
It's old I know. I still need to update. But ya know fuck it. I'll do the monochromatic sketch for $30-$40(depending on complexit) since it's the only thing I have time for nowadays. It would look something like this.
PM me if your interested. I'll update again on the weekend.

Jack BurtonWhen some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack? Goodbye CityAfter I've had roughly 24 hours to absorb the news that City of Heroes/Villains (CoX) is closing its doors soon (November is what I understand) I think I can finally say something coherent beyond making the noise "whheeeehhh"...Goodbye City1 year ago in Personal More Like This
For me, City of Heroes has been an incredible life changing tool.
1) I began playing it and tapping back into my long-forgotten gamer roots in 2004 (right after I graduated high school) via the insistence of my then-boyfriend.
2) I achieved a lot of in-game nerd crap - i.e. won an award for a website I designed for my two groups Justice Guard/Dark Dominion, still one of the only old-school blasters who could power-level, one of the original blappers, RP with devs, achieve renowned status within the span of a month or so.
3) I began taking art commissions from that game at $50 bucks a pop (fully penciled, colored, ink - no originals given though). Bayani (Kris Fenol) was my very first client <3. I eventually was making enough money off my quickie commissions
Rest in peace Mr. KubertWord came out today that comic legend Joe Kubert has passed on.Rest in peace Mr. Kubert1 year ago in Personal More Like This
He was born in September 18, 1926. He was a true icon and gentleman in the industry. To say he will be missed is a drastic understatement. Few men will ever have a legacy like Mr. Kubert has. He spent so many years creating truly amazing comics. And dedicated so much of his time seeing to the future of the industry he loved. Along with his sons and may other talented creators he founded the Kubert school. An institution designed to teach the next generation of comic artists.
I did not know him personally. But I know of him and I have had books from him to learn from. I cannot say how much I am going to miss him and his work. The world is better for having had him here for the time we did.
God bless you Mr. Kubert. And may God bless the family and friends and fans he leaves behind.
Gender +Update+Alterna Press+ NEW DA Format?Hi Folks,Gender +Update+Alterna Press+ NEW DA Format?1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I hope you're all doing well. I'm writing this journal to reveal a bit of a problem I've been having for quite some time. You see, I've been struggling with my issues regarding my gender. Today I went to the post office to mail a package and, standing in front of me, was a young woman. She was quite beautiful but , looking at her, I found a disconcerting feeling I've had for quite some time. I've been wanting to be on her side of the world. I went home and I wanted to hurt myself. I've been having difficulties focusing on my work, lately, and I've been waking up feeling like I'm in the wrong body.
People, in the past, have asked me if I'm gay and I've been hit on by gay people. I guess it's because I possess some rather feminine characteristics. However, in those scenarios, I've never had any lights come on. It's something I've pondered for some time but I've fo
