This is my entry for military vehicle design competition. The vehicle had to be lightweight, agile, serve a wide range of uses, and carry 4 passengers minimum. It also had to utilize an existing chassis. My design features slope armor, slat armor, Le Mans style opening doors, and a snorkel system for shallow water traverse. The rear bed is modular and can be replaced with mission specific modules. Modeled in 3DS Max R10.
This pretty much took me nearly 60 hours to do, stayed up several nights, coming up with sketches, ideas, concepts, theme for this design etc. I also made numerous mistakes when I was designing this car so it was quite problematic during developing this but overall, it was quite fun and I learned a lot of things from coming up with this design.
Sorry if my proportions are inaccurate (the windows and the front trunk are kinda bit wrong, they are supposed to go in a near-straight line but I missed that. gotta practice more)
As those who major in automotive design would know, there was a Ferrari design contest held at Maranello, Italy, where the participants were asked to create a pure hypercar with technology and materials from the latest generation, a car with an extreme architecture, while functional under every aspect. And after hearing that our country's designers from Hong-Ik university had won the contest, I took the challenge of designing my own Ferrari for the upcoming decade.
Also, Sergio Pininfarina, the legendary designer who pretty much oversaw all of Ferrari model's design, passed away on July 3 this year So to commemorate his glorious legacy of creating at what could be the biggest passion of all mankinds, I designed the Ferrari with my best skills that I had.
