I'm setting up a facebook page for my illustration stuff, so if you use FB please consider heading over and liking it to follow my news with new Star Wars, D&D, and other projects. If I have less than 10 likes, it just makes me look creepy for having the page : [link]

I'm a big desktop wallpaper guy who always wishes my favorite artists put out more desktop art (that means you, John Singer Sargent), so I've decided to start making desktop sets of some of my favorites.

This one is Han from the upcoming Star Wars card game from Fantasy Flight Games, who you can find here: [link]

And you can find my website here: [link]

The Millennium Falcon was the famous personal smuggling starship of Han Solo and Chewbacca.
The Falcon began life as a standard Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 stock light freighter. Solo won it from Lando Calrissian in the Cloud City Sabacc Tournament. Under both Calrissian and Solo, the ship endured many adventures and upgrades which led to its dilapidated exterior appearance, and played a vital role in the Galactic Civil War.

I showed the IRC chat channel I vist often my deviant page and someone asked me about my new avatar.
He wanted a full size high resolution version of it but didn't want a black background.

The object is not my own. I got it from a CD at a local 3D Artist convention. Each object had a text file about it and the artist apart from this one and a couple other Star Wars objects. If you know who modeled this or are the modeler shoot me an e-mail and I'll include the name with the object and update the wallpaper with your name. With verification you are the artist.

Although this is probably the most detailed and accurate millennium falcon I have seen it was poorly modeled. It could use a major overhaul and actual "JOINED" sections not just parts sitting on top of eachother.

Total Render Time 1:18:21 - Normally a 1600x1200 at the level of detail would render in a faction of the time.

Darth Nihilus, Lord of Hunger. A being of pure malevolant power, Nihilus was said to have perished at the battle of Malachor 5, but survived in a state of unlife, living off of the force energy in others. A scar in the Force, he could not be defeated by traditional means and it took the combined powers of the Jedi Exile, Visas Marr and Canderous Ordo to destroy him.

Disclaimer - Jaina and the pics of her belong to LucasArts, and I suppose the term 'Sword of the Jedi' does too.

Jaina is my favorite character in Star Wars (followed closely by Mara), so I spent longer on this background then some of my others. The cool thing about Jaina is that she is both a pilot and a Jedi, so I used two pictures to convey that. Overall, I don't think it's bad, but it didn't turn out as well as I would have hoped. Though that may be becuase I'm a perfectionist...Anyways, constructive criticism is always helpful!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (also known as Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens) is an upcoming American epic space opera film[3][4] produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Lucasfilm, and Bad Robot Productions[5][6] and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the seventh film in the Star Wars saga, and is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015.

J. J. Abrams directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan, co-writer of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Abrams and Kasdan rewrote the initial script by Michael Arndt, who also wrote the story treatment.[7][8] The film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, and Gwendoline Christie, with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker reprising their roles from previous films. The Force Awakens is set approximately 30 years after Return of the Jedi.[9]

After The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, plans for a third Star Wars trilogy were announced. The Force Awakens will be the first film to be made since the acquisition,[4] with Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams, and Abrams' long-time collaborator Bryan Burk producing.[4][5] Star Wars creator George Lucas serves as creative consultant on The Force Awakens and other new Star Wars films.[10] Second-unit filming began in April 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Iceland,[11] with principal photography taking place between May and November 2014 in Abu Dhabi, and Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England.
