"After the destruction of a large metheor a planet is bombarded by thousands of "small" fragments. The pretty far advanced inhabitants desperately try to deal with this problem. But even while the remainings of the asteroid approach slowly they are numerous and hard to destroy without creating more debrie."

I hope that made some sence ;) Once again a contest piece. Terraspace, a big theme with even more freedom to create whatever you want. In this piece i created a few planets with terragen2 (yes all planets are terragen 2 in this one). Added some 3d elements and blended it all with some photoshop flavour. I made this one in 1920x1200 especially for those that have large monitors. it makes a good background ;)

I'd love to take credit for the entire piece but the spaceships are not mine. I found those on [link] So credit for those go to their creators wich can be found in the startrek and star wars sections.

It was fun creating this piece. For the first time in a long long time i felt like i was doing something i didn't do before. I love tg2, it enables you to create stunning scenes. So everyone that hasn't tried it, YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT!!!! Well that's all from me. Tnx for watching, i hope you like it ;)

DKF out.

This is my submission to the Terraspace Contest by [link]. Go give them a visit and a watch!

I tried one or two new things in this one, so i dare say it isn't all perfection, but still one of the best terraspace projects i have done up to now.

I wanted a real panorama view in this one so i stiched the landscape together out of three terragen renders, go check the walkthrough [link] if you like. The view is not adjusted to the the gravity of the planet in whichs atmosphere you are, but in relation to the whole composition, that is why the horizon is tilted. I feel this way the planets, landscape, sky and space become equal elements.

The final product here reminds me of one of caspar david friedrichs paintings, of course not at such a high level and with less symbolism, but you can recognize the three zones, which are very typical for one of his paintings. Now please don't think I'm putting myself on a pedestal with such a great artist... O_o

Hmm whats left to say? Definitely go check out the other submissions.

Full View!

Comments and :+fav:'s are truely appreciated.

cya around...

“She lives beyond the grace of God, a wanderer in the outer darkness. She is vampyre, Nosferatu. These creatures do not die like the bee after the first sting but instead grow strong and become immortal once infected by another Nosferatu. So, my friends, we fight not one beast but legions that go on age after age after age, feeding on the blood of the living.” - Van Helsing

BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA

This painting illustrates Lucy Westenra’s return to her tomb after abducting a child for feeding; her white wedding dress stained with the blood of the innocent. It is the first time Lucy’s vampire form is revealed after she was killed by Dracula.

This was my entry for the Skin-a-Scion contest.

Here's the base model (and primary reference photo) I used:

Done completely in Photoshop CS3: 80+ hours -_-

[Updated 8-6-07]

Thanks to everyone who commented/critiqued on this; I really appreciated it. :)

The most noticeable fixes are the reflection in the water, the addition of street lights, the addition of rain, adjustments to the lighting/reflections, and some other minor touch-ups.

This is my Sweeny Todd submission for the contest. This is my third time submitting it. I haven't seen my first two attempts work or at least they weren't posted on the page of submissions.

A small, fleeting tribute to a legend on the 100th anniversary of his birth.

This jack-o-lantern was a cutout. No shading.
