Human ExistenceA few lines of expressing myself ~Human Existence1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Randomly written in one of Septembers beautiful nighthours~
I was scrolling through some pictures lately and saw a quote-picture saying the following
'There is so much intelligent life out there, it's just been to intelligent to come here'
Now you will experience a clash of spheres - I take you on a journey how I see life,
how I live daily and in which kind of consciousness I awake each day,
and leave to the realms of dreams, our little dead, each night.
Here and now I will tell you how I see existence and experience life.
The life we are experiencing in this human form simulates some certain range of options and
ways of thinking, which from human sight is considered as 'intelligence'.
While behind this all we are the 'intelligent life (or whatever..these words are too imprecise)' somewhere out there, getting in a simulation 'here' to grow and experience.
To me life on Earth is the simulation for a small piece

When recently asked how his political candidate would explain certain positions taken during the
nomination process with contrary positions to be taken during the general election, the campaign chief
replied that stated political positions were “like an Etch A Sketch,”—meaning they could simply be
flipped over, erased and begun over from scratch.
Were it that adult life were as simple as a happy Etch A Sketch memory from childhood.
(The campaign chief took heavy heat for his flippant, if truthful, statement.) The incident made
me wonder how many of us had early experiences as “sketch artists” with that incredible red toy that
has become almost standard issue for so many children still to this day.
For those unfamiliar with the magi

10 ways to become a better artistDear, deviantart fellow artists10 ways to become a better artist1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
How to become better at art? How to gain necessary skill and how to stay motivated and inspired?
There are no right, or wrong answers to these questions, as we all are different and we have our own creative journeys - but here are some of my thoughts about the topic and I hope that they might be helpful.
1. Make art with your heart
Make the art that you enjoy to create. Make what resonates with you, put your heart in it (not literally) and it will show through your artworks.
2. Be consistent
Commit to yourself. Do something daily, even if it's just a sketch. Perhaps, do a study every morning or make speedpaintings. You may not see the progress at first, but you shouldn't get discouraged by that. Not every single one of your artworks has to be a masterpiece and it's totally okay to have a bad drawing every once

2012: Year of the Dragon
DRAGON CASTLE by randis
According to the Chinese zodiac, 2012 has ushered in the year of the dragon upon the world stage.
In addition to occupying an ages old position in our cultural consciousness, legend and folklore surrounding
the dragon mythology has long been firing the kiln of our dreams with fright and menace. When we are speaking of
Dragons, we are speaking from ancient texts gathered form the beginnings of kept records of any kind and fro

‘No one can tell me if Ebola is the worst plague since, variously, Aids, Sars, BSE or the black death. All I hear is that it “might” be. I do not mind being told no one knows. But what do I make of a prime minister who emerges from his Cobra bunker and declares “a very serious threat to the UK”, a US president who says it is “spiralling out of control”, and a World Health Organisation that says it is “the most severe health emergency seen in modern times … a potential threat of an unparalleled human catastrophe”?
We have lost control of the language of proportion. The result is an outbreak of crying-wolf syndrome. David Cameron and his cabinet currently tell me to be scared witless by Ebola, an attack from Isis, a resurgent Russia and global warming (sometimes). In July, the prime minister said we face being “cast back

"Once we understand that everything is an illusion we’re home free. Knowing we’re eternal consciousness having this in-body experience is the greatest gift anyone can possibly have.
It’s wonderful, it’s free and it’s forever…and it’s for everyone! People just need to wake up to it.
That would seem to be fairly simple, especially once it has happened to you. The fullness of life you expand into, the realization of infinite possibility, is so exhilarating, liberating and profoundly simple that you can’t help but wonder why everyone doesn’t see it.
This is especially so once the grand conspiracy being foisted on humanity comes into full focus. Things really kick into high gear upon realizing fully what’s going on and why we’re here at this crucial time.
The notion that this wonderful realization should be apparent to all soon tempers though, when we remember being in that entranced unconscious sta

PE: How to Animate in GimpHow to Animate in GimpPE: How to Animate in Gimp3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Gimp is a free photo editing software that you can download at gimp.org. You can use it for a lot of different things like photo manipulations, drawing, pixel art, etc. Today though, we will be covering the topic of animation!
Note that this tutorial will only show the basics of Gimp animation. How to make the frames, how to save it and the such. So let's get started!
Start by making the subject. I just used a random black ball, but the subject can be as simple or as complex as you want, depending on what you're making. Make sure you switch over to the layers tab.
Tip: If you do not already have the layers tab there by default, go to any of the tabs and press that little arrow that the green arrow is pointing at. After you click tab press: Add tab> Layers. After that, the layer tab like in the picture should show up.
After making t

If you want to keep eating poison food, you can join the ‘scientists’ who keep spewing Monsanto-funded lies. They are telling us that genetically altered crops are good for us and the environment – that they are, in fact, a necessity to feed the world population. They say all of this, even though we seemed to feed the masses just fine without chemical quackery until about 60 years ago, all while dumping millions of tons of unaltered food right into the trash bin. If however, you believe GMOs are toxic, cancer-causing substances, you have another option.
We will always need to fight for what we believe in and ignite change through thing like the March Against Monsanto and the upcoming Monsanto Video Revolt (which you should absolutely get involved in, as it’s super easy), but it’s also important to use your dollar not only to vote, but also to keep yourself healthy.

Why people are overweight in AmericaConsidering that I've talked about one major cultural problem recently, let's talk about another one. Many people outside of the United States probably don't know about the standardized testing problem, but most seem to know about this one. It's one of the stereotypes that Americans are overweight, and according to statistics over one third of Americans are. This doesn't mean one third of Americans are morbidly obese. To figure out if you're overweight, you use this formula:Why people are overweight in America1 week ago in Personal More Like This
52 kg + 1.9 kg per inch over 5 feet (man)
49 kg + 1.7 kg per inch over 5 feet (woman)
It's a serious problem, and the problem doesn't seem to be getting better. In fact, it's getting a lot worse. Let's start with the obvious:
Most people know that being overweight is unhealthy. You're deluding yourself if you're not. Overweight people do know this, and incessantly telling them this doesn't really... help the problem. Most people also know that the way to hit your ideal healthy weight is correct diet and

‘Life is a struggle. How much more then is the spiritual life, the fight to remain conscious in an illusory world where deviant forces vie for control more than caring, battering your very body and soul day in and day out on top of your struggle to survive . Oh, we’re going peacefully downstream in the conscious dimensions. There we learn to let go and follow the flow of the Universe and synchronicity. But in this physical, lower density world, we’re fighting directly upstream.
In addition, we’re living in a time of increasingly turbulent waters. Our kayaks hit all kinds of eddies and crosscurrents, never mind the rocks and rapids we have to navigate–all while idiots, enemies and doubters, prodded on by the propaganda whores, are screaming obscenities from the shore and trying to hit us with anything they can get their hands on!But alas, grasshoppers—we have powers they know not of!’

Titillation vs. SexismBoobs.Titillation vs. Sexism1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Guys are fascinated by them.
Through single-digit ages, they find the very concept of them hilarious, and when puberty kicks in the mere thought of lady-lumps generally causes some movement in the trouser department. These weak-willed creatures will follow them anywhere and they will do almost anything if it means simply being permitted to gaze upon them for a few moments more.
The entertainment industries, from the big movie makers to the lowly art whores (like me) know this, and have played upon it for years in order to separate males from their money. As a result, mass media is awash with the female form in all manner of provocative poses and dress.
Many women are fed up with this, but is the whole thing “sexist”?
Well, it’s impossible and indeed wrong to say a whole industry is one thing or another. Ultimately it’s all one, big, dumb organism that simply moves with the cultural winds. It perpetuates what sustains it. It’s only when you break it
