Those folks that needs more views. UPDATE #22*Update 22, the list's getting fairly big now and I figured it'd might become a bit awkward to browse through all these folks soooo....Those folks that needs more views. UPDATE #222 years ago in Personal More Like This
Should I begin to categorize these featured fellaz to make it easier on you guys? if so, how would you prefer to see them categorized by? (artstyle, genre, occupation,...?) *
So yeah as you folks might know, I watch a fuckton of people on dA (3,429 as of today). Among them, only a very few select individuals were added because I consider them as ''friend'' and even then a good portion of them have mad skills. So in the end I can safely say that I watch at least 3,400 individuals for their skills alone.
While a lot of them have the pageviews they deserve, a good portion of them go unnoticed because X or Y reason, whichever the case, it absolutely ENRAGE me to see those case. While browsing dA I encounter plenty of unskilled folks being sickenly popular for the sole reason that they drew some sorts of shitty naruto
Art All Around Us...I know we often think of art being right in front of us as on our screens. But do we take a few minutes to look at the art that might be hidden amongst the things that are all classified as graffiti? Believe it or not, even has a place for such postings (well, pictures of them - though it could be interesting to see someone try to literally graffiti the site ). I hope you enjoy this small selection from the sub-categories of traditional art > street art > freehand graffiti.Art All Around Us...6 days ago in Art Features More Like This
Please be aware if you happen to traipse around in there that there is quite a bit which is mature and isn't hidden behind the filter. I know that's true for a lot of areas, but I felt I should give you a warning anyway.

This weekend I painted a large mural in Chinatown!I love painting large and it is always an honor to be asked by a wonderful organization to paint at their space and represent their community visually. This week I was asked to paint a piece in Oakland Chinatown at Lincoln Square. An amazing community center the has droves of smiling people enjoying the giant ship like playgrounds, the expansive b-ball courts, and sword fighting in the lawn bowling court, to name a few. The ages ranges from 1 to 100+ and all the folks were super stoked to see this painting in process. My good friend Christopher Mackessy, ( who took most of the photos for the deviantART Gear Shop,) is also a painter, As well as a teacher. He procured the walls through the community center with the blessings and we spent the last 2 days painting. Many of his students came out and we fitted them with brushes and oversized tee shirts and they went to town with our instruction. With the help of these smiling pint sized 8 year old Picassos we crushed it with a mixtureThis weekend I painted a large mural in Chinatown!2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
FeralHeart+ : UpdateThe current version of FH+ V1.13 is no longer available to download, as it does not currently have Lonely Cave and that means if you create a new character in FH+ they'll arrive in a black abyss. But not to worry, I am working on finishing up an update to fix this at the moment. It will not only fix that problem, but hopefully will fix the black screen issue some users have and will include tons new content and many improvements to original FeralHeart files. So for now enjoy FHoriginal and get ready for the biggest FeralHeart overhaul you've ever seen!FeralHeart+ : Update3 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This

Keeping your pans/tubes as good as new
Any useful tip you'd like to add?
A touching note, and my advice on moving forward.AmirBeniz said the following:A touching note, and my advice on moving forward.3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I am a High school senior at the moment, and I'm choosing colleges to further develop my inspiration for art.
Right now I'm in a rut to decide which school to go to and how I am to pay for it.
I've been drawing everyday since I was a child but my art hasn't gotten to the professional level, ya know like yours.
What do you think I should do?
Re: Did you go to school for this?
I greatly appreciate note and I can say that I know exactly how you are feeling about the next steps from high school into art land. On your page it says "I am an upcoming artist whom generally started out drawing marvel superhero stick figure comics and grew up wanting to become part of Marvel's team of comic artists." I can honestly say now

Below is the latest installment of my "favorite faves" -- the best, in my opinion, of works I faved recently. Some of these pieces you have no doubt seen; others you may be viewing for the first time. If you come across something you like please let the artist know -- give them some DA love in the form of faves and comments; also take a look at their galleries -- you might like their work so much you'll want to watch them!
Remember, everyone could use a little more DA love!
(Many of the works shown below are included in the galleries of two groups I recently started. Visit Ugly-Mug-Portraits http://ugly-mug-portraits.deviantart.com/ and Surreal-Landscapes http://surreal-landscapes.deviantart.com/ to view even more incredible art created by very talented DA artists in need of your support!)
Tutorial Tuesday: FacesOkay lets draw some faces! Before we jump in let me just say that this tutorial is for the general guideline to draw faces. Every human being is built a little different so even though I'm going to give you a guideline on how you should draw faces, know that these are the average proportions. As in if you took every human being on the planet and averaged their proportions you'd get something like this. But individuals will have eyes that might be slightly farther apart. or noses that are longer etc. So use these as a starting point then exagerate certain features to create you're own unique looking character.Tutorial Tuesday: Faces3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Also this tutorial is for those of you at the starting level, for those of you who have no idea how to draw a face properly and you've just been drawing features haphazardly and hoping for the best.
So lets start:
1. The Head
So i've talked about breaking down thing you want to draw into basic shapes in the past. In fact i di

SERIOUSLY ONLY 3. If you don't have your entry in yet, I really suggest you start working on it now, because if you leave it to the last day, you'll find that you don't have time for it, and your chance of getting 600 and more is gone .A.
also, there is no need to ask "May I join?" Please look at pervious comments, I keep saying "Yes, Anyone can join." It's getting a bit repetitive now
