~Cookies, Brother, Large Field~the crumbs fall from your mouth
as you take the last bite.
the pastry tasted amazing, like you remembered.
you sit back in your chair,
close your eyes with a simple smile,
and let the memories rush back...
the colors are spinning around your eyes.
when you stop, the colors settle
into your surroundings.
you are 5 again
in your favorite field,
the ones with the buttercups you used to pick and bring home.
and your brother was there too.
he was 20 years old that day
and he said as a present to himself
he wanted to spend the whole day with you.
so you chose your safe place,
he had lifted you up and spun you around.
when he stopped, you both fell from dizziness.
you both laugh.
the laughs are pure
and are crafted from true enjoyment.
your brother didn't want you to know,
or maybe he thought you were too young to understand,
but he was dying.
he was slowly dying from a tumor in his brain
and he wasn't going to live to when it was your turn to be 20.
he took out the c

Tonight, many events will take place
People will live
while some vanish,
but most involved will be destroyed.
Tonight, blood is shed.
Tonight, someone will triumph.
Tonight, you meet your doom,
Signed your former partner,
The shadow finished his letter and signed his name, his hand positioned oddly to accomodate for his abnormally long black nails.
He was a demon.
But not by choice.
He remembered it was years and years ago; it seemed as if he and his brother were playing tag in the yard one day, and then the next... things changed.
A single red-tinited tear streaked down the shadowed figure's pale face as he remembered. He took a deep shuddering breath as he folded the parchment and sealed it.
He walked across his room. It was daylight, although the room was dark. He liked the dark. This way, no one could see him... or what he has become.
He walked up to his messenger crow and it turned and squawked

Lilli was sitting on her bed in her azure bedroom. The drapes were open, as they were every morning, and the sunlight was shinning into her room. The light was reflecting off the walls in such a way that it made the room feel almost alive with warmth.
Lilli stood and went to her window. She opened it and took a deep breath. It was that time of season when the leaves were just beginning to change, but the air still had a hint of summer left in it.
She turned away and was going to begin getting dressed when she sensed a movement by the window she had just opened.
Immediately and instinctively, Lilli swiveled around to face the window...
...but there was nothing there.
Nothing but a black crow...
...with dark red eyes.
Lilli smiled and walked toward the creature slowly so she wouldnt scare it away. "Well, good morning, Mr. Crow." She ran a finger down its back, as if to pet it. She then noticed it had something in its mouth.
She held her hand out before it and said, "Drop." She'd delt wit

She's a bit shorter than her cousin and lifelong friend, Lizzie. "it's a ball, silly. That's why we're here." Lizzie wore her blonde hair in pigtails that fell in stunningly perfect curls beyond her shoulders, and a dress the color of freshly grown red roses. "Plus, I simply adore all the fancy dressesoh! Like hers."
Just then, Lizzie spotted a young girl with hair that resembled her remarkably, only a blueish-black shade. This girl was wearing a pink and black dress with many beautiful features. She stood with her back to them.
The young girl in azure had to agree, but it wasn't worth fawning over ; at least she thought so. Lizzie must've thought it a good time to leave her 10 year old cousin unattended

Alfred F. Jones sat his 19 year old son, Jack, down in front of him as if he were 4 again and Alfred were telling him a story. Jack sat on the floor criss-crossed, still stunningly innocent and quite free-willed like his father, while Alfred sat in a chair before him. He had his mothers beautiful hair and his father's stunningly clear blue eyes that now stared up into themselves as Alfred began to speak.
"Now son..." he began. He had sort of a wisdom about himself that he got every now and then when he became serious. "I bet you've been wondering about... your mother."
"Naw, dad. You told me mom died in an accident when I was 3! I survived and she didn't." he said matter of factly.
Alfred bit his lip. "Son..." He sighed and adjusted his glasses. "Let me tell you the story of your mother..."

Lilli was slightly confused. "Hunh? Aelred who?"
Sebastian snapped out of it. He crumpled the parchment and threw it away. He stepped back into the kitchen to finish preparing Lilli's breakfast.
Lilli followed him into the kitchen, still wanting an explaination. Sebastian sensed that was what she was there for, so he took a deep breath. "Aelred is no one of importance. He is simply my former partner."
"Partner...? Partner in what context?"
Sebastian turned to her with a smile on his face. "It is not what you are thinking of. We were working partners, he and I."
Lilli nodded, relieved. "Well, what happened?"
Sebastian's smile faded and he turned back to the food. "Nothing, except one of us didnt like the job and wanted to become something else. The other one didnt approve, and we had a small falling out..."
Lilli felt like she was only getting half of the truth, as if his words had an alternate meaning, like they usually did. She just nodded and sat down at the dining table, ready to ea

The chilling shrieks brought Lilli to a state of full awareness. She sat up in her bed as she listened for more.
"Leave us alone, let him g-!"
It was her mother, Violet. Lilli shot out of her bed and bolted to the grand hall. "Mother?" She ran to her parents' room. When she got there, she found her parents, beaten badly, with handkerchiefs shoved into their mouths. Their hands were tied as her mother sat on the floor bawling and her father, William, lay on the floor, unmoving.
Lilli stood frozen in the doorway, trying not to catch the attention of the perpetrator retying her mother's handkerchief. The man was tall and wearing all black. Under a ski mask were icy cold blue eyes.
The eyes darted to Lilli as the hands groped for a gun. Violet cried out and Lilli put her hands over her eyes
BANG, the gun went off. Originally intended to fly past Lilli's head and scare her away, the bullet had found a way into and out of Lilli's right wrist.

Lilli was dying.
Her lungs were slowly filling with blood, making it hard to breathe or speak. She wore her azure dress, which was now stained with expelled blood, her sapphire necklace, and, for once, no gloves. Her eyes were closed, but she was wide awake.
Despite the fact that it was 11:55 at night, Sebastian was at Lilli's bedside. He claimed that he was there to comfort her, which Lilli knew he was, but she knew he was mainly interested in devouring her soul.
At the stroke of midnight, Lilli was to die.
Lilli knew this, but Sebastian didn't... not yet. There were so many things she had kept from him over the years: her favorite flavor of pudding, the fact that she knew William, and the secret behind her necklace.
"Se-Sebastian..." Sebastian grew closer. "There are thi-ngs I mu-st clea-r up wi-th you, thing
-Black Clad Butler- At Her Side *Chapter One*Click, click, click, click clack. The footsteps ceased just beyond the door. He lifted a fist, palm facing him, and rapped the door with his knuckle a few times. "My Lady, have you awoken?" Not hearing an answer, he twisted the knob and pushed the wooden door open with a creak. It was dark in the room he walked into and he could hardly see the cart he was pushing in front of him.-Black Clad Butler- At Her Side *Chapter One*4 years ago in Drama More Like This
Sebastian rolled the silver cart over to one side of the king-size bed and crossed the room. Reaching his arms up, he grabbed a hold of the azure curtains and flung them open with one fluid motion. The sunlight from outside illuminated a spacious bedroom with a royal blue theme. "My Lady, I suggest you begin your day." There was a rustle from beneath the covers and a faint groan that followed. "I've prepared warm raspberry tea for my Lady; it is her favorite, is it not?" As he talked, he poured his mistress her favorite tea.
"Hmm." The figure in the bed rolled herself over onto her back. Her right hand l

Lilli walked back upstairs to her bedroom. Sebastian had made her hot apple and cinnamon oatmeal, her favorite breakfast.
When she walked up to the door, she remembered something... the messenger crow!
She opened her door and closed it behind her, looking toward the window. The crow was still perched there. It squawked as Lilli approached again. She held out her finger and it lept onto it. She took it to her writing desk in the room over.
Once there, she held her finger toward the desk and the crow hopped off. Lilli sat in her oversized desk chair and grabbed some parchment, a writing quill and some ink. She started the letter with "To whom it may concern,"
She turned to the crow. "I wonder what your name is..."
The crow suddenly tipped over the ink onto the top of the parchment she was writing on. He dipped a foot into it and started to scratch the paper.
WHen he stepped away, Lilli didnt see anything at first.. but then she made out letters.
She saw a "T" followed by 2 unknown letter

The door opened and Sebastian walked in.
Lilli stopped playing and opened her eyes. She looked at Sebastian, not appreciating being interrupted. He spoke. "May... May I listen?"
Lilli sighed. "I suppose you may. I am playing a suite by Bach." Sebastian entered the room and sat in the desk chair. He watched as Lilli continued where she left off. His face revealed how lovely the music sounded to him, especially since it was coming from Lilli. As she finished, Sebastian got to his feet and started to clap. "Magnificent. Truly breathtaking."
Lilli smiled. "Why thank you Sebastian. That was right kind."
Sebastian looked toward the instrument. "May I have a turn?"
Lilli sighed. "I.. suppose so..."

Ryuzaki realized what may happen next. "Everyone, the shiniga-" He suddenly felt a shortness of breath and his chest felt tight. He found that he could no longer speak.
L was having a heart attack.
The spoon he had held loosely in his hand clattered to the floor, his body following soon after.
"Ryuzaki?" Mari was opening the door. "I've come to-" At that moment she spotted her beloved Ryuzaki who was collapsed on the floor. He did not appear to be moving. "Ryuzaki!" She rushed over to him with a flourish.
"Mari, he-" Light began, but, to his surprise, Mari wasn't prepared to listen to him spin his web of lies.
"Out of my way, Yagami." She shoved him out of her path, catching him off guard and sending him tumbling backwards. His eyes narrowed.
Mari Tsukari knelt to the ground, swinging her right leg over the fallen body, nearly sitting on his stomach. "Ryuzaki!" She shook him lightly. "L! No!" The tears sprung up from behind her eyes. :No...! Hang in there! Please..."
