Small Hints how to get views, faves etc.For a lot of you it might be nothing new, but since a lot of you are either new on dA or not experiences with something like "strategies" to get views, comments and faves for their works i thought i write up a few hopefully useful hints for you.Small Hints how to get views, faves etc.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Upload as many drawings photos etc. as you can. Some of you would argue now that it can be counterproductive if the deviations are not good, but i come to that point in #2
2. Join Groups. A Ton of them..at least 15-25. And submit your stuff to them on a regular base. BUT only the things you consider by yourself as "good". The rest is for your gallery only, and interesting for those deviants who want to see sketches, WIP's etc.
Always care asbout the theme of the dA groups of course and about their rules. If you are not Alvin Lee, Artgerm or Genzoman or have over 100k views on your profile already and over 400-500 watchers at least you really need dA groups to get known.
Of course some people see your stuff when you upload it. There is mysel

:iconthesmallwonder: Some thoughts from Katie (thesmallwonder)
Spring has sprung and April showers have started raining down here at HQ.
Winter rain makes me want to crawl back into bed, get a hot cup of coco, and read a book all day. But there’s something different about April showers...
Maybe it’s because it’s less cold outside, or that the days are longer, but springtime rain makes me want to play in puddles.I want to go outside and smell the fresh air, and I just feel rejuvenated. Spring is a time for me to dust off old projects and start new ones. Forget New Years, April's when I get inspired!
I want to hear from you!
Do you play in the rain?
Does spring inspire you?

Well I had a lot of thoughts lately on this and I'm going to have a little heart-to-heart with beginning artists and those who are new to signature making and starting out with GIMP, Photoshop, and other related programs...
However you start for whatever reason affects your views and how you're going to start out. Why did I start out? Well I saw some art online; your generic 'signature' and I was pretty intrigued. I asked around how people did that and I was directed into getting the program GIMP.
It's a photo manipulation program just like Photoshop, but its free and more simple. The first thing I did was look up a video tutorial on a signature. I joined a couple forums excited to post my first signature and was surprised with the comments.
*NOTE*: This was NOT on a graphics forum. Comments and critique can vary from forum to forum. And this isn't me being conceited or throwing out there to expect great feedback when posting work.
I had a l

The chaptered comic strip, has been collected into a 100-page graphic novel – and to the still-uninitiated:
It is not quite like anything you’ve probably ever seen before. The story follows “Zee Captain” and his sidekicks as they amble through a post-apocalyptic landscape. And while that hardly seems new and different, it’s the unusually superlative graphic quality of the comic cells and the Monty Pythonesque dialogues and leaps of logic that can become quite mesmerizing. Zee Captain, his face hidden by a gas mask that gives him a Darth Vaderish look, wears what looks like a Soviet Red Army uniform from WWII, and the strip does have nourish WWII feel. It’s as if the nuclear holocaust on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had never ended and spread to every major city on Earth. But

Character Design: An introductionCharacter Design: An introduction2 years ago in Art Features More Like This

What does 'Character Design' mean?
The character design is the process which comes after the characterisation and consists in defining the character through his/her physical appearance.
We need to consider a character as a little fictional creature, human or not, that aims to please its creator and the public as well.
While the basic characterization of this fictional creature (his tastes, his fears, his behaviors) may take a little mental effort, as it is a sort of list of emotions, facts and feelings that come and go in the life of a character, the process of visual realization of this creature may not be as simple. That's why many writers and characters creators prefer to rely on experienced hands.
Also many of the mental aspects of the character are not possible to gain by using 'static' visual medium. For 'static' I mean all the illustrations and drawings unable to tell a
