About this Drawing: This was a challenge that took me a whole afternoon & half an evening to complete because it was based off a small (& faded!) reference photo. I think it's a bit confining but it has to be done because you learn a lot from it.

Mark is the UCI Road Race World Champion 2011 and probably the greatest grand tour sprinter of all time. Self-confident to the point of arrogance, he knows he is the greatest.

This drawn on Bristol Board 250gsm card with a black ballpoint, nothing more. Took me a very long time, about 5 hours in total.

The Lost Boys

Graphite & Charcoal on Rising Bristol

About 20+ hours Phew!

Ok, so I'm not terribly happy with this one - first time I just got sick of it & gave up. Mixed with charcoal & graphite together, it probably wasnt the right paper for it - I had charcoal everywhere! Doing tiny faces (less than an inch!) was a learning curve though, just how few lines can you have to use make someone look like the person they are.
