I had to go through my drawrs yet again to see if I had anything worth showing. And as fate would have it, I came across yet another sketch I did of Sheng-Long, one of my original characters. I did this sketch back in 2006 or so. Of course it's kind of hard to tell how old these drawings are since a lot of my older works are nearly impossible to distinguish from my newer ones. Anyway, this is yet another concept sketch I made of the crazy Chinese tiger assassin who will soon be one of Geist's henchmen alongside Prowl the Alligator.
I know his pose in this illustration looks somewhat suggestive and questionable. In fact, the way I positioned his legs kind of makes him look like he's dancing. While the way I positioned his arms and claws could suggest that he's either bowing, or popping out his claws to show you that he's getting ready to kill you.
I'm actually happy that I came across this sketch of mine regardless of its age. Mainly because it's a full body shot and not just a portrait. Now don't get me wrong, portraits are good two. But it's also important to know the entire design of a character so that way you can get a better idea of their appearance. So that way, if anybody plans on making fanart of this guy, they can use this as a reference. I'm currently working on a newer and better character sheet for Sheng-Long and Prowl as I speak. And hopefully I'll have them ready soon. Until then, enjoy.
