1. Apodyopsis- which means "the act of mentally undressing someone; imagining women naked; undressing women mentally". WHOEVER invented this word is a PERVERT!!! And I FOUND this word in a list of the Best Words on www.vocabula.com It's absolutely revolting in my opinion!
2. Believe- as in context towards "where would I be if you didn't believe?" (quotation by Justin Bieber on his "Believe" album. First, his fans did not "BELIEVE" in him… is he like God or any religion? NO. They "supported" him. And the last time I checked, "support" does not even have a synonym that is "believe." This is a terrible use of a word that has had its formal meaning taken from it. "Believe" to be used in this context is for morons. And that is not an insult at Justin Bieber, I am just trying to establish the firm line between good and terrible use. Celebrities have a knack for "killing" words or defiling their meanings.

My friend Jaz, a very good friend of mine for nearly a year on DA is planning to kill herself in six days time. She's already aquired painkillers, almost enough so far to end her own life..
I've tried fruitlessly to talk her out of it, but she won't budge. I cannot, I will not let such a close friend of mine die. She is extremely depressed, and thinks so little of herself, even though she is one of the most amazing people I have ever come across.

I, along with eight others from my school, won under the theme "The Magic of a Moment", hence the title of my poem. This is actually the very first writing award I have ever won, so I'm pretty excited
Following this journal, I'll post the poem as well, so you guys can see it. Unlike most of my poems, I spent a great deal of time on this one. It took me an on and off span of around a month of writing and editing to complete it.
On a side note, for all of you concerned about my previous journal, do not worry. I am not leaving again unless forced to, as I once was. Probably wasn't the best idea to post it at around two a.m. (I believe that's when I posted it) when I wasn't feeling the best emotionally.

I have good and bad news for whoever is interested. Bad news first, I guess. I busted my kit lens (Nikon Nikkor 18-55mm). Well not really busted - and I don't believe I was careless or anything. I just had it mounted to my D5100 body while carrying it in my bag and riding a tram. What happened is that the outermost part - the one with the focus ring and the lens opening got skewed because of obvious pressure that was put on it. Skewed meaning that if extended further it did not extend normally but a little like the leaning tower of Pisa. Additionally, the zoom ring wasn't smooth anymore if zoomed but got harder tu turn at 35 and 25mm. At first, I didn't realize the damage's extent because it was still fully functional despite the optical appearance. But when I took a couple pictures I noticed that one side of the image was out of focus while the most other areas were in focus. And now the focus ring won't snap in anymore if I set it to autofocus but it will let me turn it

Jet LagI've been home now - home being in Europe - for 3 days and the jet lag won't go away. It is almost half past 6 and I am still awake. I tried to sleep but it just won't happen yet. My goal is to fight a 9 hour difference jet lag from California. I can't sleep during the night and don't have the motivation to stay awake during the day since the only thing I really have to do is finish my masters thesis. Which I should actually do. But since I'm awake all night I figured I could edit a couple photos from the Nor Cal trip I took before I flew back home. And there are lots of pics I want to edit and it takes some time to go through all the photos and find the special ones.
