So You Wanna Play Tennis? - TGI sat down at my desk and opened up my laptop. Quickly, I pushed the power button and watched it start up. I entered in my password and navigated to the internet and then making my way to Google. Spring had arrived and it was my senior year. Throughout my four years in high school, not once had I participated in a sport, so I decided that I would try out for one, tennis. The advantages is one, I figured it would be the easiest sport out of all of the spring sports, and two, the girls practice tennis at the same time, so I can watch them when I take breaks. So You Wanna Play Tennis? - TG1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This

Finally, I found a link for how to play and I clicked on it, leaning back and kicking my feet up on the desk, starting to read through. At first, everything seemed completely wrong, but for some reason, I couldn’t pull away or stop reading.

Misadventures of Hulk Girl "Gym Rope Challenge"

Story by Sephzero
The day's PE sessions were forced to relocate into the school gymnasium thanks to an unexpected state of drizzle. This was initially held as a welcome relief to the throng of students who had no interest in participating in another outdoor activity under the inscrutable eye of their instructor.
They had been well adverse to the promising track and field gauntlet prepared for them this morning. The first drop of rain brought grins to some as they proceed into the gym for another hopefully less grueling activity. Any hopes were quickly dashed however as the instructor coldly presented them the object of today's alternate activity.
A long cord rope hanged from a fixture on the ceiling of gym with little more then a thin blue mat below it to cushion their fall against the hardwood floor below. A pall of dread quickly washed over the assembled students while the instructor clearly explained the activity. Each

I was walking through the mall looking for a gift for my son. He loves old things so I went to an antique shop. He always like weird things and that made him a little distanced from other kids. After looking around for
How My Business WorksHow My Business Works3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
My business works because it's actually not a business. And by this I mean I hardly make any money with my pictures. For me photography is not a way to make money but to invest money, and I work several other jobs to be able to pay for my art. I'm a tour guide on waste to energy plants and wastewater treatment facilities, I'm a concierge at the house I'm living, I work as a Photoshop instructor and on weekends I take care of the library of the University.
Sometimes people say to me: I can hardly believe you're not making money with your photos because they are better than the work of many professional photographers.
Of course it's flattering when somebody says something like that even if I don't always agree. But here's the thing: the very reason why I'm able to work on this level is because I don't have to make money with my pictures. If you're a photographer who wants to make a living out of it you are forced to do things differently. You have to focus on what your customers like and

The library at the back of the Nacrene Museum was immense.
Shelves, crammed with books, reached up to the ceiling.
The only sounds to be heard were the soft whispers of other people in the library, and sometimes, ladders being moved from one side of a shelf to another, as someone needed a book from the very top.
Yena could hear Sandshrew sniff near her ear the Pokémon was curiously smelling the air around them.
She followed her Pokémon's example, and breathed in deep.
"I just love the smell of books. They should make a perfume out of it."
Alex was still standing on the doorsill.
His hands were in his pockets, and his shoulders were pulled up.
"So that everyone will smell like dust and mold? Lovely, great idea."
His eyes went over the library's walls.
" So where's the entrance to the gym supposed to be?"
Yena looked around as well.
"Let's go and ask that lady over there "

I had never seen this part of the hive before. It seemed planned out manufactured. I'm not sure how to put it really. The walls seemed square-ish. It suddenly occurred to me that the hive was underground, near a township that I had passed on the bus ride here. Something caught my eye (if you'll excuse the irony in that statement) something gleaming within the resin. Breaking away the sticky secretions, I found a bright yellow sign. The smaller letters had worn away with age, but I was still able to make out "Pump Station 4". It took me a minute to realize where I was. This was a water treatment plant, specifically one I saw just before we had driven into the park.
A noise caught my attention. It sounded like someone being smothered muted moans and cries. I followed the sounds, delving deeper into the pseudo-industrial sec

Yena felt like her head was spinning.
From passing through countless streets and alleys, that all looked the same to her.
From the numerous people rushing by, some of them accompanied by Pokémon she'd never seen before.
From the incredible amount of strange scents and sounds, some fleeting, some strong.
Yena also felt increasingly amazed as she observed her three companions, finding their way through the concrete maze without even hesitating once. More and more convinced that, if they left her here, she'd never find her way out of Castelia City again, she clinged to Scout's hand like a lifeline.
Suddenly, Chase turned around, coming to a complete halt at once.
He looked at Yena as he announced:
"We're getting close."
Chase went through his pockets, soon pulling out two gray pieces of cloth.
He threw one of them at Yena. As she caught it, she discovered it to be a long, rough ribbon.
"Let Scout tie it around your upper arm."
He pointed up.

Yena stretched out on the grass, Oshawott immediately following her example with an almost comical precision. Munna was nearby as well, floating closer to the ground than usual.
Yena sighed as she stretched out her limbs, convinced she had never felt this exhausted.
She reached out to Oshawott, scratching his belly for a moment.
"Are you okay, Oshawott? Do you feel any stronger?"
She giggled as the Pokémon exhaled dramatically, then yawned.
"Isn't it odd ? We feel so tired now, but I think we'll turn out to be a better team in the end."
She pushed herself up on her elbows, observing Alex and Chase, who were still training.
Chase had immediately taken charge of their training schedule, determining what points both young trainers should work on. Because Yena had only just started out, she had been given a series of exercises to do with both Oshawott and Munna, designed on building and tightening their bonds. Soarin grumbled to himself as he walked down the street, out of Rarity's hearing. The foalish tie that she'd laced him into was slowly choking him. The stupid jacket she'd roped him into was pinning his wings to his back, restricting them and making him itchy. And the black mask, that the white unicorn had summoned from places unknown, had slipped over one ear, trapping it. He didn't care if this was the highest form of fashion ponykind had ever devised. He wanted to move, to be free.
Throughout the long, boring hour (or was it hours?) that had seemed never ending, he had fought against her treatment. Slipping out of clothing and tearing away at anything with sequins. Once, the Wonderbolt had even made it halfway out of the door before the unicorn torturer's devious magic had dragged him back in. Eventually he'd just submitted to Rarity's attentions, letting her have her way while secretly promising to himself that he'd escape the clothing as soon as he could. Because of the element of

Alex was nearly knocked over as the large, brown Pokémon happily shoved him.
Zigzagoon, completely exhausted from his part of the battle, was sitting at his feet, and barked.
After regaining his balance, Alex crouched down, scratching Zigzagoon behind its ears.
"You did really good as well, Zigzagoon. I don't think we would've had any chance against Herdier without you."
Lenora's voice sounded from across the battlefield.

This is a bad idea, Stan thought as he stared at the mug in front of him. He’d been on his way home from the gym, when he saw the poster. It was posted on the wall of an old tavern that was apparently open this early in the afternoon. Some sort of drinking competition was advertised, one with a $500 cash prize. Stan had never been much of a drinker, maybe a beer here and there. He’d always preferred staying fit and in-shape. Getting drunk seemed like a waste of time and an abundance of bad calories. But he could really use that money, and out-drinking someone couldn't possibly require any effort, right? With that thought he reluctantly entered the bar.
About an hour later, and Stan was six glasses in. They’d all been beers of different colors and names; he didn't really know the difference. A few people had dropped out already, and while Stan wasn't quite there yet, he was starting to feel a little unsure about his chances. He su

Introducing Ashley, Emma and LucyAshley had always been a small girl, and even now, on her first day of college, she only measured 5 foot nothing. Her black hair was in a bob and swayed as she entered the building, her slightly tanned skin catching the last few rays of sunlight. She snuck a look at herself in the reflection of the door. She had always been pretty, a well structured face and dark brown eyes complemented her slim figure. But she had also been very shy, compared to the rather loud personalities of her high school friends she was often overlooked. But today was the day to change all that. The previous weekend she had decided that college was going to be her time to shine and had acquired a new outfit specifically for the first day. I put my hand on my chest. Can it be? Is he really gone, did it really work?! I jumped out of bed and ran to the window. The sun was rising into the sky. I smiled joy washing over me. I fell back into bed laughing at the top of my lungs. He’s gone, the pills worked and he’s finally gone!!! I stroked my body smiling devilishly.

Although whatever befell Bonbon's house had rejuvenated all the damage done within, the other houses had simply been left unchanged, or worse, crumbled.
