Timpani and Blumiere chapter 7-Blumiere Something inside my heart broke. I teleported to the castle and ran into my room. Just as I got out the Dark Prognosticus, Father walked into my room.
He saw what I had in my hands. "Blumeire, my son, don't! Even your ancestors could not handle that dark book... If you open it...there's no telling what might happen!"
"I do not care, Father! A world without her is empty. A LIFE without her is empty! There's no meaning anymore!"
"Why are you doing this, Blumiere?" Father asked.
"I made a promise to Timpani. And you have made it so that I can't keep that promise. So you will all pay!! Speak, Dark Prognosticus! Teach your dark history! I awake your command!"
I felt another part of me come alive.
"BLEH HEH HEH! BLECK!"
"Blumiere... What have you done?"

"Olivia!" I hear my college roommate scream. "You'll never guess what I just got!"
I look up from my laptop to see her bouncing with joy and holding two tickets. "No way," I say.
"Yes way! We're going to see Axels and Thorns!"
I jump up and scream, hugging my friend and bouncing with her. Axels and Thorns is the hottest rock band. Like ever. "How did you get these?!" I ask Sam. She hates it when people call her Samantha, and honestly I think Sam fits her so much better.
"Jake's dad knows a guy."
Right. Her boyfriend, the son of a big-time music producer. Of course tickets to A&T would be easy for him to get. Either way, I still thank her . "You're the best, Sam!"
"I know," she laughs.
"We need to go shopping!"
A few hours later, we're in the middle of a store trying on everything we like just because we can. "What do you think?" Sam asks, coming out of the dressing room in black skinny jeans and combat boots.
"That's perfect," I say with a smile.

It just isn't fair

That's what they call me
And I know they're not bluffing

My friends try to tell me
My ship hasn't yet sailed

My heart is sore
I've taken the hints
Maybe I should've taken them lighter
But I just want people to see

I wake up in my bed in my dorm. The TV's on in another room, letting me know Sam's here. I think it's Sunday? It's too hard to remember what happened, so I get up slowly and ask Sam.
"Holy crap," she starts. "So Axel hit you with a door again, and you looked like you were gonna pass out, so he made sure you got here safely. You were already asleep when we got here, so he carried you through the girl's dorm!"
I have a hard time believing her. That is, until I see Axel's number in my phone and two messages from him: "hey" and "still asleep?" I decide to keep this from Sam. And the book I remember picking up.
"Im awake now," I text back to Axel. I don't expect a reply from a rockstar, but my phone vibrates seconds later.
"Good feelin better?"
"Sry 4 hittin u twice."
This goes back and forth a while until Sam notices. "Who are you texting so furiously?" she asks with a laugh. "Meet a guy at the concert?"
"Yeah," I reply. Well it's not a lie.
The Door to HeavenThe waves crashing on the sand create the perfect noise for me to think clearly. The full moon illuminates the crystal waters and defines every jagged rock in the cliffs facing west. I remember walking with my older brother up to the top of these very slopes as if it was yesterday, but that's impossible, and I know it.The Door to Heaven3 months ago in Short Stories More Like This
John died eight years ago. Eight years later, it's almost my fifteenth birthday. I know my parents are going to forget, just like they did when I turned eight, nine, ten, and so on.
Now I climb up the same path I know better than the back of my hand. Time and weather have worn down the rock slightly, but I can still reach the part that juts out just below the cliff's edge where John and I would sit and watch the sunset together. He called it the Door to Heaven because of how pretty the sky was.
My brother was a frequent churchgoer and loved to be involved. At his funeral, even though I was young, I had no doubt that he had finally stepped through the Door and was living

All the voices in my head
Longing to be truly heard
Or is it just me?
I'm not a stereotype--
I didn't choose this
He couldn't handle
The darkness within.
I'm not the clone;
And he will be all mine.
It's a mask,
And everyone wears it
I have no happiness,
For I am the darkness,
Pure midnight evil.
If I am the clone,

Then I am completely alone.

That's when I realized one thing.
I looked again, and my face and the figure merged.
That was my voice.
Then I realized it was me.
"Hello..." the voice echoed.
When I turned around, there was nothing behind me.
"Hello," I said to the apparition.
Her name was Ashley.
But after looking at it for a while, I thought it was my late cousin.
It was too dark for me to see its features.
That something was a dark figure.
But I saw something behind my reflection.
I saw my reflection.
I walked up to the mirror in the morning like I always did.
I got out of bed without remembering waking up.

What's going on inside
All they see
Is the ditz on the outside
All I do is giggle
And talk loudly
And annoy everyone
In their eyes
But I'm not like that
On the inside
Yet no one seems to care
They ask me what's wrong,
And when I tell them,
They say I'll be fine
But I won't be,
I'll never be.
I don't open up anymore
What's the point?
I just get put down,
Bruised even more
Whenever I speak my mind.
Covered in bandages
That were once white,
They've been stained over time,

What I think
But I don't know why;
I'll just be put down again.

You'll be fine;
You're still young;
You think you have problems
Because it won't help!
If it did,

I don't need to hear.
I need to hear
That you understand

But no one will...
No one cares enough...

I'm awful at reading lips, so I have no idea what she's trying to say. I eventually give up and turn over, facing my window.
My world is silent. I push back my curtains just in time to be blinded by lightning. How long had it been storming? Another flash lights up my room to show me a man in my room. Holding a gun.
I can't hear, so he could have killed everyone in my house without me knowing... My eyes are wide as I realize how precious my hearing was. The man moves his lips, but the silence is deafening. Trembling, I shake my head slightly then point to my ear.
The man lowers his gun and gives me an apologetic smile before saying one more thing and leaving.

"Lilith, you don't have to-"

By the distorted and dim glow of the street light, I walk down my driveway and through my neighborhood. The raindrops against my umbrella make one of my favorite sounds in nature. I can't help but look up at the sky with my mouth wide open.
As the tiny drops of water hit my face, I can't help but think how significant a girl standing under the rain could possibly be. And it's times like these where I vow to make a difference somewhere.
"I like that about you, Anna," Lilith says from behind me; I don't move to look at her. "You don't want to just be another person on this planet. You're afraid of disappearing, aren't you?"

"I was just trying to remember Mother!" I wanted to scream. But I kept to myself.
It would be so easy, I thought. I could just... slip... down... It would be better than going back to face Father.
I stood up, looked down, and almost jumped.
Then I saw her.
She was lying down under a tree wearing an all-white gown. She was beautiful. I leaned closer to get a better view, but I didn't think it through. The ground under my feet crumbled away. I fell.

I sprang up and ran to the cliff that was to the right of where I was lying. When I saw him at the base of the cliff, I dropped my flowers and knelt beside him. He had cuts and scrapes all over his body, and his clothes were stained with blood. I knew that there was no one around to help him, so I helped him get back to my house. My choice escapes my lips before my brain fully comprehends what the man said. "My flower."

"Agreed. Just jump in. You admitted it: I'm helping you," she argues. I give in, hold my breath, and jump. I'm only in the water for a few seconds until I break the surface. "Why are you helping me?"
Again, she doesn't answer. "It's not important. We're probably going to have to sleep outside..."
"I don't care about that- Wait, did you say we?"
She won't reply. But why?! "There's no time for questions," is all she says.
"Lilith." We're sitting in the little woods by the neighborhood park doing nothing but staring at the moon in the sky and whispering. "We have all night."
She stands. "Not time like that. You have all night." Without saying anything more, she disappears, leaving me to fall asleep to the far-off police sirens.

She lays down as I stand up with my wide eyes glued to her unnaturally pale face. ...My face... Remembering last night, a tear falls down my cheek.
"No... Don't cry for me, Anna..."
"How can I not? Lilith, I don't want you to die..."
"Don't... Don't think of it as dying... I'm just...going to a better place."

"I stayed alive until you fell asleep," she replies slowly. "Anna, there's something in the corner of your room..."
My arms drop. Moving silently, I lean to the side to see a face. The eyes are empty, the smile has a hint of evil in it, and I could've sworn it blinked.
Statues don't blink.

She's read the creepypasta; I can tell by the look in her eyes she knows what happens. My heart beats hard, and I have to tell myself to breathe. "I forgive you, Anna," she says, and that makes me sob uncontrollably like I have a bad habit of doing. I couldn't care less about how loud I am. We just stand there, she lets me cry, and I don't want to ever let go, or fall asleep for that matter.
