Basic supply list: -Veg-tan leather (this can be bought in 8x12in pieces at Hobby-Lobby for $10 each) -White leather strip for the lace (Hobby-Lobby in the Jewlry section) -Sharp scissors and/or xacto knife -Grommets 3/8 in (this can be found at Joann Fabrics) -Grommet setter (also at Joann) -Hammer -Leather hole punch (optional) -Tools for tooling the leather (optional) -Spray bottle of water -Acrylic paint or Eco-flo leather paint -Eco-flo satin sheen -Paint brushes -Paper Towles (use to rub on satin sheen) -Tracing paper or grid paper to make the pattern.
Make sure you have a clean hard surface to work on. I use a scrape piece of wood to place under the leather when I install the grommets.
Leather is not the only option to make the bracers. If you do use fabric make sure you use interfaceing to make it stiff and keep it from slouching
Just some poses I sketched out. Rather rough, but perhaps they could be inspiring. Feel free to use them, I just ask you link back so others can see and that you let me know what you make with them, because I'd love to see!
